Food is great, service is speedy. Pizza was big but I was able to get a box to take it home. Will visit again.

A completely unsatisfactory and unwelcoming experience at the Witney Branch. Our family visit was met by the so called Deputy manager on 28/07/24 @ 4pm who told us that due to not having a booking she would only cater for us for the time being if we left within 1 hour because she wanted to clear the table for the next booking. The restaurant was CLEARLY only 20% full and there were many empty tables to seat a family of 5. We found this to be extreme and never have we ever felt unwelcomed by any restaurant staff before. I can only say this particular manager was racist towards us and the other staff took note of her behaviour and tried to apologise. In the end to express our disappointment to the unpleasant manager we stayed for our meal and decided to chew our meal as slowly as we possibly could 😂and by this time we were heading way above her racist 1 hour marker!!!! It became apparent and evidential to us that there was no further booking for this table. Pizza Express Witney train your staff about racism! This so called manager needs to be investigated. 👎🏽

Popped in for dinner tonight an ordered 2 adult pasta dishes one which was carbonara an the other was pesto chicken an a kids pasta dish, the different between the 2 mains was mad, the carbonara was the same size as the kids one, so will be ordering something different next time

Witney Pizza Express simply fantastic! We ordered a take away for lunch (18 July 2024), ready on time and all was so delicious. The restaurant manager very lovely and kind person. Shout-out to the chef. Thank you!!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful experience at this Pizza Express. We often visit different Pizza express restaurants so we knew what to expect but this restaurant was especially child friendly. There was an arts and crafts table for the children to play at while they waited for their food. There was a baby mobile above the nappy changing and there were balloons for the children to play with. The staff were also exceptionally kind and friendly towards the children. One of our girls was so excited when we ordered ice cream that she watched them prepare the ice creams and then ‘helped’ the waitress carry the tray to our table (it was very quiet on a Sunday evening) A big thank you to Kayleigh and her team.

I do t mind the pizza being late but when the pizza Did arrive, it was missing half of its toppings. I always have this same pizza from pizza Express. Only half the toppings were on it. No mushrooms, very little cheese. Etc. really disappointed especially at the price of £20 for a pizza.

Had a lovely impromptu dinner here on Thursday night. Our server was lovely and attentive. The food was delicious and too much for us to finish we took home the leftovers! The section at the front of the restaurant is really lovely and had a good atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We didnt book and it was surprisingly busy, but they still managed to squeeze us in for a meal. The food was amazing as was the service. Anamika and Gabi, the manager, were lovely and very helpful even though it was a very full restaurant. Both the front and back seemed full.

delivery took long time ordered at 17.51 recieved nearly 2 hours later. phones store who told me remebered sending order out and that was ages ago said driver collected at half 6 over hour ago. when driver eventually arrived food stone cold.

Absolutely incredible experience, the food was top notch, some of the best pizza I've ever had. And the service was just exquisite, this very nice girl named Alana I believe was just so helpful and made the pizza express experience a 5 star.

4thtime ordering and they didn’t deliver all the food. They don’t redeliver and insist that you collect the food they missed off in person. When asking for a refund you have to do it through justeat which has never resulted in a refund. Do not use the app to order and do not order from pizza express Witney. Every time is a disappointment. Sad because the food is great.

Reserved a table. Arrived and was ignored for 15mins while we stood at the 'please wait to be seated', staff behind the bar didn't even say hello. Finally got directed to a table in the top room that was empty, with all the staff setting up tables and got sat next to the bins... Lots of other tables available and even in the front of the restaurant where it was busier and nicer but they put us next to the bins. Asked to be seated somewhere else (noting there was literally everything other table was empty and also empty tables at the front) but got told this was our only option - so we politely declined and left to eat elsewhere. Shocking poor service, no front of house and no care for guests.

Very slow service, drink arrived at different times and took an absolute age to get anything. No real apologies, looks like this is how they operate usually. Cleaning of glasses and cutlery leaves a lot to be desired. Forgot one of the mains, most of us had finished by the time it arrived. They weren’t even that busy when we were in. Very poorly run.

I get that this is the business model to heavily advertise pizza deals to bring people in, but to start your meal off trying to scan codes, upload apps and inputting unrecognised table numbers is never going to be relaxing. Your first interaction with the waitress to ask how to get the 50% deal makes you feel a bit desperate. We've been to Pizza Express before and have successfully navigated the deals so why have they now made it so complicated? OK, so not a great start but I really tried to put a smile on my face and told myself to relax. On the positive side, the food came quickly. We've eaten the same pizzas off the menu before and although the taste was OK the pizzas were undercooked, lukewarm and had noticeably shrunk since our previous visit (not the worst aspect but just added to general dampening of mood). On ordering for our kids we asked for less cheese on one pizza and were told "don't worry, they don't come with much cheese". It came loaded with cheese and was abandoned after two slices. We felt a bit fobbed off. Can you not tweak your pizza or is this too much trouble for £50? We were trying to make the best of it but the kids wanted to leave and decided not to have their inclusive dessert (which was a surprise). We weren't grumbling and we tried to entertain the kids but the atmosphere just felt a little off. A bit rushed, a bit uncared for, and some negatives that made for an underwhelming experience.

Fab pizzas, easy to order, arrived nice n hot, when they said they would. An extravagant treat, but yummy.

Mushroom pizza and garlic bread completely cold. Heated in microwave but was disgusting. Very poor quality food. Will not buy from here again and definitely do not recommend.

We unfortunately arrived a few minutes before a children's party. Our starter arrived relatively quickly, but we gave up after waiting an hour for our mains. The manager was clearly too focused on the party, which it appeared they were directly involved with, as they left two young staff to deal with us and other irrate customers. The manager made no attempt to communicate or handle our complaint. I'm sure the party pre-ordered their food. Focus on the many tables of irrate and bored customers. After complaining and stating we're leaving, it took nearly another 10 minute for the manager to hand over the card for the till for the staff to remove the mains so that we may pay for our starter. We've been here several times and it's been good, but the manager clearly didn't plan ahead and get more staff in to cover the party

Just ordered 2 pizzas from pizza express Witney, not only did the delivery time change 3 times meaning I had to to wait 50 mins longer than originally advised, but it was then stone cold when it finally arrived. I called to speak with someone but apparently the manager is too busy in the kitchen and there's nothing they can do because Uber delivered my order, even though I placed the order specifically through the pizza express website. Some poor girl bore the brunt of my anger because the manager was hiding behind her and refused to speak with me. Incredibly disappointed and will NEVER order from @pizzaexpress again. Customer service is non existent and zero help for their staff when put under pressure. Manager, shame on you! And that poor girl deserves a medal having to work for such a spineless manager

A real rip off. They also subscribe to Too Good to go App. They advertise food, you pay for it then you don't get what's asvertised. Deal was a main and 2 sides, I got 2 dough balls and the tiniest flat bread (another side) and that's it! They do not give you what you pay for!

Notification to say driver was at restaurant. Not the case, rang restaurant and they said order was cooked, but no sign of driver. So when food finally arrived it was stone cold and nearly in-edible. Driver shot off sp fast I didn't have time to explain to him.

Lovely food. Polite and attentive staff. Very clean. Varied drinks menu. Will definitely return. Dough balls are amazing! Had a tiramisu for dessert, one of the best I’ve tasted!

The deals on the app are fantastic, me and my partner like to come at least once a month, sometimes more! The staff were brilliant too. Great vegan options too! Most recently, we were served by Kiera and Gabby. Both of which were utterly brilliant! Communicated well and ensured we had a great time :)

I have been here many times in the past and will continue to do so in the future. The food is always good and the staff are genuinely friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Caterina and Alana. I’ve been served by both of them and they’re both really lovely and knowledgeable. There’s plenty of choice on both the normal menu and the separate vegan menu. Recommended dishes include: classic dough balls; any of the chicken pizzas and the brownie with ice cream. You can get free dough balls on the Pizza Express app which I recommend if you want to save your money. I genuinely don’t really have any complaints so… keep it up Pizza Express Witney

My experience here has never been a bad one. It’s a nice restaurant, with nice staff who genuinely seem to try. Clearly it’s a bit understaffed, but the hospitality industry generally is. I always book so I’m guaranteed a table, but usually you can walk in. Unless there’s a lack of staff and/or it’s a busy day, having no booking is seldom a problem. However it’s always better to book. Food is always good and there’s a separate vegan menu with ample choice. To be honest, albeit rarely, some mistakes are made, but the staff are only human and such things are only natural. I’ve worked in the service industry (admittedly not for this company) before and I KNOW it’s not always easy. I don’t doubt that some people have had subpar experiences at this restaurant, but in my own opinion and experience, it’s never been enough to make me not want to come back

Avoid this place. We ordered a delivery via Just Eat and we have been experiencing severe food poisoning. We will never eat here again.

We visited as a large family for a joint birthday celebration. Pizza Express is a chain and one would think you couldn’t really go wrong…. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for us. Despite a lovely waitress the experience was very disappointing. We had been asked to pre order and yet the food was very late and didn’t come out at the same time. The food was poor quality. We had young children who we had to entertain for a long time as they were hungry and bored… the place wasn’t even busy! The incredibly large bill was the icing on the cake. We won’t go back to that branch again and will think twice about going to Pizza Express at all.

The restaurant is clearly understaffed like every other hospitality business at the moment, but the staff are efficient and so friendly. They clearly work so hard and want to make sure everyone has a good experience. Food was lovely, we had dough balls (free with the app), a romana pizza (the one with prawns on!) and zucchini linguini. Place was relatively busy for a Monday night in witney and there was a nice buzz but not overly noisy. A very reliable establishment for a decent meal and good service.

Been here multiple times with no issue but went for lunch on a Monday, and despite there only being three tables the service was very slow and the waitresses seemed to ignore us and overall weren’t very attentive or friendly (not necessarily rude but weren’t welcoming or pleasant). After a long wait to be served, not once were we checked up on to see if everything was okay!! Disappointing as it was so quiet and there was no pre anplogies about any issues in the kitchen or apology of any form about the slow service.

A mushroom pizza with a single mushroom (possibly not even a whole one)? Delivered cold? Not very impressed pizza express.

Ordered the forta pizza.. was way too small and too spicy for its price £16. Dry chicken.. not fresh herbs. Asked for classic and was given thin. Aperol Spritz was flat. Domino’s its £9.99 for a large pizza which has more flavour and fresher ingredients.

The food was lovely. We ordered the cannelloni. The service was amazing , very lovely lady called Katerina served us and was very friendly and patient especially as we had our toddler with us. Thank you ☺️

Went there with friends and were treated with no staff and a sad atmosphere, when we were finally seated staff weren’t friends and very quiet and our food serves took a long time, when it finally arrived it was cold and tasted stale and when we tried to resolve it the manager wasn’t friendly and very unwelcoming and rude to us, very disappointed and will not be going back !!

Me and my friends went to pizza express witney and were very disappointed our food was stone cold and tasted stale when we told the waiter he offered us discount but said ‘what do you want me to do about it’ then a lady comes over and very rudely almost has a go at us acting as if it was not true. nobody even apologised will definitely not be going back!

A family treat following a visit to the dentist, Alexandra was very welcoming and we enjoyed our lunch, the kids three course meal for £7.25 is great value and the thin crust pizzas are alway great. Looking forward to our next visit already.

If only I could leave a 0 star. This place is an absolute nightmare. SHOCKING service. From the moment I walked it I may as well have been invisible because apparently as I had no greeting other than .. What do you want? Forgetting items off my drink order I can understand but still annoying. The waitress with the glasses is the most UNhospitable waitress and really should get a different job. She can’t even remember table numbers… delivering our food repeatedly to the wrong table. And her way of apologising was to say “oh sorry this isn’t the first time this has happened tonight”. The waitress didn’t even know my order. I have allergies which I stated and for the waitress to not even know the NAME of the pizzas in her hand is a JOKE. Once she did slam the pizzas down and trot away, there was no apology or enjoy your food. Just a vacant glare of an incompetent waitress. Not one member of staff mustered up the thought to actually ask how our food was which would be a classic thing to do. In the words of your fantastic waitresses “here ya go” I hope you enjoy this review and it helps to improve this crappy establishment.
