I’d seriously give 100 stars to the lady at the counter who might just remember us four girls who took over the pub for an afternoon of fun. The food hit the spot and the service was top-tier. What a great day in Barry Island!

As a local, with the beach on our doorstep, O'Sheas would usually be my first choice when it comes to Fish and chips. However, I can't tell you how disappointed I feel after a visit there today. Customer service is applying. I won't be returning.

I and my partner visited Barry Island as she is a massive fan of Gavin and Stacey. We weren’t overly impressed with Barry in general as it was very run down. Marcos cafe was clean and tidy and the food and drink in there was lovely and very reasonably priced. It is a must go if you are a Gavin and Stacey fan.

As a weatherspoons it's prices and choice are great, but this pub gets very noisy when full.on the most recent occasion ordering food and drinks through the app, the server brought the food and rather carrying the items over a couple of journeys, as we were having 2 fish and chips, 2 individual portions of scampi and 2 portions of salad, he had placed the 4 grey scampi and salad pots on our fish and chips plates, wasn't happy with this as we have no idea where the bases of these pots have been sat and it seemed very unhygienic to us. Also when the fish and chip plates were placed on the table, I said, oh sorry have I made a mistake on the app as I had ordered 2 large fish and chips and one was very small, he ensured us they were both large, but we disagreed and this is where the customer has no comeback as you've already paid, they don't care. He wouldn't do anything for us or replace it, so we had to eat it.

Impossible to eat pork souvlaki with too many chips and tasteless tomato . Partner had equally poor veg one stuffed with chips , feta and same tomato for a whopping £13 .

The service very good and they're very taste very nice milkshakes and cakes

Awful food waited over one and a half hours for a delivery to rhoose . Food tasteless all tge dishes looked the same grubby colour, salt and chilli chips grey and soggy never again total waste of £45

Love the parmesan chicken, the chips and aaaaallllll the sauces. Always delicious.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HUNGRY HORSE RESTURANT IN THE PAST: I left this place a 1 star review many years ago because their food (IMO) went downhill not long after they started charging for the indoor softplay (the chicken was dry and stiff/overcooked and their steaks weren't left to rest before plating and the whole plate was full of the re juices soaked into the chips: which happened a couple of visits) THE POSITIVES NOW 😀: December 2024 we came as I was out numbered by family. We all had the festive roast and the beef was succulent and veg and gravy was tasty. 4 months on and I've since came approx. 7 times because the food is consistently top quality. I usually order the Classic Chicken New Yorker and the chicken has always been juicy, succulent and so tasty. I much prefer it when they serve the chicken on that little hotplate than putting it directly on the plate so please always do it this way :) My guests who I come with usually order the amazing fish and chips or the one I believe is the ribs or a meat feast type of dish and they're always very happy. (No other Hungry Horse in the area of Cardiff know how to serve the chicken new yorker like this one does and i have visited EVERY Hungry Horse in Cardiff!)

We went here for lunch on a beautiful day outside. Me my husband and my friend and her little girl. We went for lunch. We ordered two salads off the lunch menu with shrimp on them a heroe sandwich and and pasta for the baby with nothing on it not even butter. One virgin Pina colada and a beer.They charged me $13.95 for a half penne for a child with nothing on it. $19 for eight shrimp. And it took over an hour to get the food, they were having a party but this was simple food. I told the people never again and they just talked about inflation and they offered nothing to satisfy my anger about this bill. It was $126 for lunch for four people! $150 with tip. If you go there DO NOT 🚫 customize anything. They will nickel and dime you to death!!! Order AS IS only.

Amazing place! Discovered by random! Very nice staff and the food is just delicious! Had a carrot cake which was absolutely yummy! Blankets at our disposal, nice touch!

We went to barry island for the day we came across Finnegans we all had excellent food we would recommend it. service was good we did not have to wait long for our food the staff were friendly to.

The wait was quite long as it was a warm and busy day, but the fish and chips were fresh and tasty.

Came in with my young son and ordered food and two drinks. When I paid the bill, I got the receipt and left. I checked the bill later on and the waiter had added on an almost £4 coffee for himself WITHOUT ASKING! He was a young guy. Could never recommend this place! Ever!
