The best restaurants in Swale South East

Just had 2 caps cod and chips first customer of the day nowhere near normal standard chips and fish very overcooked and tasteless most of it in the bin in your carpark a waste of £16 .40 very disappointed

If I could leave a zero I would.. firstly we came in enjoying a lovely drink after a cold night out with friends.. suddenly out the blue a lady who works here storms over telling us our dog wasn’t allowed in the front of the pub.. please note the dog was being well behaved. She clearly had a bad day and took it out on us. Rudeness / bad manners is vile and she should take a moment to reflect on her attitude towards customers! Or friendly people won’t want to return .. regardless if the beer is nice. Shame

Stopped by with a walking group on a Sunday. Really friendly and welcoming. We were a large group and used a large room at the back which was perfect.

Being very new to Sheppey, this was our first time visiting the Whitehouse and we were very impressed with the food, service and cleanliness of the place. As vegetarians, we were pleased that there was a good selection of food for us on the menu. We had papadoms to start with a good selection of pickles etc. we particularly enjoyed the tamarind. For the main we chose vegetarian thali which was gorgeous with each separate dish having its own unique blend of spices. The stand outs were the dal, spinach and cauliflower. The service was very quick and friendly and we felt comfortable from the outset. We thought the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food and drinks we had. Would definitely recommend the Whitehorse and will be visiting again soon.

Had a beautiful meal with my wife for our anniversary. The food was excellent, I had the chipotle duck tacos, and the service was great too. Gluten free options were available for wifey too. Highly recommended
