Normally spend about £60 for delivery no problem today I tried to place a order just for me £15 Was told I was out of there area Greedy people

First time ordered tonight and the meal was ready in 15mins to collect. The gentleman was very pleasant and polite he checked my order with me before I left. Very tasty and plenty of food. The Chicken Korma was delicious with a lovely creamy sauce such a tasty meal will definitely order again. Thank you Whitehouse!

Visited on 2nd October and have been meaning to write a review for some time. I'm not from the island but me and my friend love to come here when we can. Food is spot on and the owner makes us feel very welcome. I hope business picks up in these difficult times.

Have been waiting for the White House to open again since lockdown. So glad it now is. Visited tonight and was as always thoroughly impressed. Food was amazing, I personally recommend the Rezala. The staff are so attentive.

This is not the most prepossessing building on first arrival and I was slightly nervous as to what to expect, however it improved on entry as it was quite smart decor wise and the waiter was initially friendly and this continued throughout the meal. Now to the food, I am a Londoner visiting Minster, and used to the quality of some of the best Brick Lane has to offer. This was up there. Extremely tasty with great flavours, very well cooked. I have seen the review of a visit similarly timed to mine and this was not my experience and I was unaware of any issues whilst I was there.If this was my local Indian restaurant I would be very pleased indeed and as I intend to return to Sheppey from time to time I will definitely beat a path to their door.

Have been to this restaurant several times over the last few years, each time a few months apart which is what it takes for the memory of each visit to fade. Tried again this evening and they didn't disappoint. Although the food is acceptable the main waiter - short, early sixties - is so arrogant and unfriendly that he ruins what could otherwise be a nice experience. He has literally NO customer service skills and clearly hates the job. I can only assume he is related to the owner who is as rude as he is ugly, although thankfully he stays out of site most of the time. Shame because the younger waiters are extremely welcoming and professional - heaven knows how they put up with the other two, although I have noticed the turnover of younger staff is forever ongoing so good for them. Unfortunately the main waiter is always there, with his miserable expression and 'can't be bothered' manner. Don't expect a welcome from him, or any conversation as he shows you to your table. Don't even attempt friendly banter. Better still, go elsewhere as we will from now on.

3 of us had a meal last night. The food was excellent. A good mx of spice and heat. They manage to produce lovely spicy food tasting fresh. The service is brilliant and the owner and his staff have the customer care just right. We don’t live locally so it will have to be a treat when we visit relatives on the island. Good value.

Having driven passed this restaurant often I decided to give it a try, I was not disappointed. Although I had not booked they found me a seat and the food was excellent. Being a weekend there was a party atmosphere. Nice.

i found this restaurant very busy with families.....the food was first class and a very varied menu but service was very slow which spoiled it a bit for me.....there were not enough waiting staff ....the meat in my chicken curry was a bit tough when it should always be tender....

I'm still currently sitting in the White House and it's just ridiculous. The food was nice I have to say that first but we got here at 8 and it's now 22.34 and plates only just cleared off!The young boy, he needs to go! Clumsy, awkward and ruined the birthday surprise by announcing we have a birthday cake. We asked for the cake 20 mins ago, and still waiting....The young boy didn't understand the drinks order either. Again I must say the food was nice, but orders came out wrong etc etc! So basically poor service, long wait, awkward and all In all not that enjoyable other than the company I had round the table. Have visited before but dont think we will be back.

Starters were brought out and waiter stacked them on his arm, causing the food on each plate to stick on bottom of plates- he still served them. For the mains the plates were dirty with yellow oil stains on them so had to ask for new plates. Waiters dropped food, and service was incredibly slow. Food at least was tasty. Wouldn’t go there again- it was a quiet evening so there was no excuse for the slow service and dirty plates etc...

I was in England for Christmastime, and my daughter and her husband took me for a very tasty meal for my birthday which I really enjoyed. Hope to visit again next time I'm in the country.

A very good Indian restaurant with a varied menu we have been quite a few times always have an excellent meal. Staff very atentive and friendly prices are resonable.

We have been eating here regularly for a few years and have yet to have a bad meal. There are different flavours and spices here which correspond with the area the chef and owner are from in Bangladesh. the portions are large and value for money. Having lived near Brick lane for many years, I have had my share of curries, and I am never disappointed

Food: Nothing outstanding - one lamb dish was good. One of the pickles with poppadoms was like water, did look like it had been watered down. Don't have the prawns.

Have eaten here and got takeaways from here more times than I dare to add up over the last 7 years, I have never ever come away dissatisfied, the food is great, staff are helpful and food is served in the right timeframe. Wonderful place, would recommend to anyone!!

We have eaten here lots of times as a couple, with friends and on family birthdays etc. Never had any issues with the food or staff and always made to feel welcome from the second you walk in. Would highly recommend

Me my wife and some friends took our kids here for a meal, when we first walked in we was greeted which I presume is the owner! Who asked how many of us there was etc so we sat down at the table, then a member of staff bought the high chair they only had one and we required 2 nothing to major! So we go to order are starters, starters ordered can you come back we not made our mind up yet, We have to take this order all now hmmm" this was one of the waiters by the way! So we ordered blah blah blah the food comes out and the waiters and the owner is constantly on us watching just being there knowing they are there is really uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to show us the bill. Just so disappointed the owner should be setting an example to his staff and he should learn some manners.

Our family visit was a stressful one here as they was rude trying to take sauces when we were eating them ! Firstly made the booking for Thursday buffet as advertised No buffet! . One of the waiters told my 1 yr old grandson off for touching the door I was so angry. Then we went to pay and it hard work for them to work out our bill as you will understand we won't be returning it was all a bad experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Went to this Indian Restaurant Saturday. Definitely not what was expected. Sardines last time were whole, this time mashed! Bombay potato just sitting in oil. Karachi chicken very bland.wont go back

There was a group of 9 of us and they tried to put us on a table that would comfortably got 6. We had to ask for an extra table. All the fizzy drinks were flat and had to request new ones. We had to ask twice for someone to take our order. We had been there around an hour and all we had was a popadom each. There was no helpfulness nor were they happy. We were there before 3 other tables and they had all had their food before we even got served.

Pedimos nuestra comida, que llegó unos 20 minutos más tarde y nos quedamos bastante impresionados con la calidad de la comida de mi esposa tenía un curry balti y tuve un ceilán fueron muy amables pero creo que eran un poco demasiado caliente para los platos, pero estaban muy bien.

La comida es bastante normal, pero no tenemos ninguna queja. Mi inconveniente real es con el hombre que sólo puedo asumir que es el propietario como nadie nunca emplear un hombre ignorante. Él prances grimising alrededor en todos los clientes y si uno debería ser capaz de pedirle cualquier cosa que será ignorado o dado un aspecto de absoluto desdén. Es una pena, ya que el resto del personal son muy amables y te tratan como un cliente real. No volveré allí con prisa!

Tarde de sábado bastante ajetreada. Personal amable podría ser sin embargo internacional mejor informado comida excelente y abundante. Un bonito detalle fue el Baileys con la factura, es una pena que mi marido tiene una estricta ética y beber en coche. . . Disfruté de su, también! ! Sin duda volveremos.

Visitamos los domingos por la noche para el banquete. El servicio era lento, la comida era normal, sin duda nada especial como sugerido por algunos de los comentarios, y yo comimos un montón de comida hindú.

Great for an after pub curry, try to avoid when full as service can be slow. but food is always good and worth the wait

I can't believe I was lucky enough to find this amazing restaurant. At the moment I travel from London just to eat here sometimes sitting in traffic for a couple of hours but it's so worth it, the staff are amazing they are always so friendly and welcoming and the food is wonderful if you have been lucky enough to have eaten traditional great quality curry then you will love the food here and compared to London this place is so cheap, the best value and the best food what more could you ask for.

Food was very enjoyable no leftovers here!! Staff are friendly and atmosphere is very relaxing. Hygiene also was excellent. Will return again soon.

We went on Friday night after hearing good reports about this place but personally wasn't impressed First the carpark is a mess badly laid out it's a free for all on a bit waste ground that puddles!Then going in the girls at the bar are polite attentive and quick to seat you , then it goes wrong again drinks took a while to arrive after order but at least the poppadoms and sauces had arrived We personally felt the menu was a little unimpressive and struggled to find 2 dishes we fancied !The male staff definitely need some training we hadn't even finished our pops and they dragged away the plates and dips literally to the point I piled up half a poop and stared at him ! We then waited bored for a good 20 minutes for the main course to arrive! It was ok not fantastic but nice we then asked for the bill and even that took for ever I decided to go up and pay as I'd had enough of waiting! Would I go back probably not there are many better nearby

First time customer used the takeaway menu tonight. Quality and flavour took me back years to a time when Indian food was a real treat not a disappointment (1970's).Will be back - made our Saturday night.Price very good too! Thanks The White House.

Had a great meal at a very reasonable price, the staff were very polite and attentive but not overbearing, the restaurant is very clean and welcoming with a very pleasant atmosphere would highly recommend.

The food was nice, good service and friendly and polite staff. All my friends commented on how nice their food was, large portions and served quickly. The restaurant was busy but the service was very good. As it was Valentine's Day all the women were given a rose which was a nice touch.

The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, the food is out of this world. It was very busy due to it being valentines day but the food was still amazing and the service top notch. The white house is amazing value for the quality you would pay twice this for the quality in london. Thank you the white house for another amazing evening.

If you like an Indian meal then this is the place to visit, not so good for English food. This venue is underused and under supported which is a shame.

On a quiet Monday night we had diner. The food was excellent. Service very friendly. They served an excellent vegetarian main.

We visited here again on wednesday evening for the set price buffet, we had a really warm welcome from all the staff and our food was simply amazing you can't fault the customer service and quality of food and it's fresh ingredients. I have been to many different curry restaurants on the isle of sheppey and all over London but none come close to The White House.

Popped in late one sunday evening. They squeezed me in with no fuss. Great selection of food. What i ordered arrived at my table steaming hot and very tasty! Will definitely recommend to others.

We were warned that there are few good restaurants on Sheppey but gave this one a try. Food was awful and staff ditto.

We went on banquet night my friend being a vegetarian. No veggie options which was fine as my friend was happy to have onion bajhi, bombay potato, etc she asked if the could make her a korma sauce with no meat as she was a vegetarian and meat makes her ill. They asked if she would be happy to have the sauce from the chicken korma on the buffet. She explained no as this had been cooked with meat and that she was happy to pay extra for a fresh sauce to be made. On arrival small chicken pieces clearly visible in the sauce. Obviously they had just gone out back and took sone sauce if the chicken korma they were making for the next buffet batch. Not good practice. The manager was apologetic but other male waiters very surly and off hand. We have a caravan on sheppey and used to visit the white house often. Never again.

Con: Could use renovation (entrance door handle nearly came off, paint scratched off the walls by chair backrests, one plate had a chipped rim). Staff mixed between closed-off and very friendly, weren't able to advise on food or drink choices. One of our dishes came with chicken instead of lamb as ordered. Pro: Easy to find and plenty of parking around. Decoration and table dressing clearly aimed at being a bit classier. Plates were warmed up. Food arrived piping hot and tasted amazing.Considering those, the prices are too high to say "you get what you pay for" but also too low to be a plain ripoff.

We visited on so-called banquet night so the place was full of rowdy youngsters trying to eat as much as possible. No ambience, made worse by dismissive staff and poor service. Food was awful: just mass produced curry sauce without any added value. Prices are average for an Indian restaurant in a working class area.Not recommended.

Sunday "banquet night" for Father's day. 5 of us."Banquet night" is a starter, a main dish, a rice or bread, and a side dish for £10.95!The restaurant was very busy, This was the 3rd time I have visited and it has been busy every time.I eat in Indian restaurant quite often. The White House really is top notch.Draught Cobra and Kingfisher lagers to wash it all down.Minor niggle is the small car park, but there is plenty of road parking.

Our first visit to this restaurant. Very extensive menu, so much choice. My husband had Chicken Tikka to start and I had Prawn Puree. Both were very nice. For main we both had The King Prawn Delight which was absolutely delicious.Service was fine, even though the place was packed. They will need a larger car park.Evening slightly spoiled by a group having a party, they were overly loud with screams and shouting. Nice that they were having a good time but not every one else in the restaurant was invited and if they could have toned it down it would have been appreciated.

I have been before on several occasions, and decided to try one of their special banquet nights.Excellent food as usual, and for just under £11 each for a starter, main and two sides, it was amazing value.Staff were very attentive, even though it was almost at capacity and will definitely go back again.

This is the best indian Restuarant on the island, the food is always well cooked and great value for money. I would recommend you book a table as it can get very busy during the holiday season

we drove from London and was caught in traffic for over 2 hours but we didn't turn back, the total journey was over 4 hours but it was worth it!!!the food again was amazing as usual and the staff are so welcoming.excellent food very fresh with amazing flavours and massive portions.4 hours to get there and 2 hours to get home but it is the best curry we have ever had, we will be back next week!!!.

We always go there for our Indian meal, mostly for a sit in meal, and sometimes when we can't get out, we have a take away, my husband sometimes collects our meal, he is always offered a complementary drink. When we go the the restaurant , they always remember us and sit us at our favourite table.All the food is excellent, especially when the owner is in the kitchen, if you've not tried it all ready and love spicy food try the Garlic Chilli Chicken, it's amazing..

Impromtu visit and luckily we got a table. Staff are very attentive. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. I have had takeaway from here before but not eaten in. Will definitely go again. Not expensive either.

The white house is the best curry restaurant I have eaten in, I live in London and have been to most of the curry restaurants in brick lane and the East end of London also Manchesters curry mile but they are no match to the quality of food you get in the white house. The prices are great and they have special fixed price days. The portions are massive and i have never managed to finish it all. The venue is spotless and the food is very fresh. My partner will not eat curry from anywhere else now. If you are near by you should try it and you won't be disappointed.

We have been here before and it was ok but we get a take away tonight and get home and the chicken chat and prawn chat was cooked in BBQ sauce absolutely disgusting and the main was bad as well wish I had gone to my main and local one mr. India who dose do a nice bit of food I will not be going back to the White House what a let down

My husband had his serviette forced upon his lap and we waited an hour for our starters, then immediately after the mains came out ! Went from starving to bloated in about 20 minutes ! Drinks took a while to come too ! The place was very busy ( it was Saturday though ) and take away orders were out the door every 5 minutes ... Over all the place is clean and the food was great , the staff just need to go on a silver service course

Working in the area and staying in the hotel close by I decided to look for an Indian takeaway using my Yell.com APP on my phone. "The White House" came up and so I rang them and placed my order. It was delivered within 50 minutes. Sheek Kebab, side salad, mint raita, onion raita, Chicken Vindaloo, Pillau Rice and a Garlic Nann bread - well done. The food was an Indian and it was an Indian I fancied but that's about it. The Sheek Kebabs lacked any taste or spice and the Vindaloo was mild but the main observation was that the curry sauce was just that, curry sauce that had come out of a big pan, typical of many Indian Restaurants in the UK. Granted, it is the way that many restaurants do their business but it would be nice to think that from this huge pan of sauce, additional things were then done to it by the chef to turn it into the authentic tasting dish that each customer ordered? Not this restaurant, this was the sauce and this is what you were getting. I mentioned this at work the following day and a colleague who lives in the area smiled and said that he could remember the restaurant opening and it soon had a reputation for "everything tasting the same". Enough said I think? I will not be eating at this establishment again.

Popped in with family the other day. Had the buffet meal deal so starter, main, side and rice for 12.95. As always more than I can manage but good quality and well presented. Restaurant always feels clean. Food always tastes well.

Nice restaurant, getting a bit tiered inside, food is tasty, they don't sell Alchol free beer, which I find really unusual in this day and age, the staff are ok could be a little better, it was very nice and smart when it first opened but it has declined over the years, which is a shame as there is not a lot of placed to eat on the Island.

had the most amazing meal. king prawn tandoori starter was to die for and the lamb dansak was the best ive ever had.the lamb just melted in the mouth. will definately be returning. excellent service. well done the white house. can i move in.

I went to this restaurant last night with friends and I ordered a vegetarian samosa. Unfortunately, when I started to eat it I realised that it was actually meat, which is obviously a very unpleasant experience for a vegetarian. I politely explained that I had ordered a vegetable one and got told that I had actually ordered meat, which I most certainly had not!! He refused to replace it without charging me and was extremely rude and arrogant, making no apology. In hindsight, I think he possibly misheard my order, which of course does happen, but the way in which it was dealt with was absolutely unacceptable. Without a doubt, I will not be visiting here again!!

All the staff really make you feel welcome. it is always very clean and modern . Excellent choice of food not matter when we have been. Have not managed to try the sweet menu as always too full. Also use the take away service which is always as perfect as going into resultant and given the welcome when picking it up

We went to this Indian on the spur of the moment on a Saturday night (nothing on TV) and they were extremely busy but had a table ready for us within half an hour. The staff were friendly even though they were kept very busy.The food was great. My partner and I love our food and can put it away very well but we had trouble with a starter and a main course. The starters were very nice but I think when we go back we will probably share a starter and then share a main so that we can have the obligatory nan breads etc... and not feel uncomfortably stuffed afterwards!!It is obvious that a lot of care and attention is taken in the cooking of the dishes, even when the restaurant is full, and this is what we really appreciated - that standards didn't slip in trying to get meals out quickly.Overall, a lovely meal and a nice night out - would definitely recommend and will definitely be going again!

We booked a table for 4 of us on a Saturday night. It was busy with people eating in the restaurant and collecting takeaways but we never waited for anything, the staff keep an eye out and as soon as you want another drink or anything they are straight to you and back quickly with whatever you wanted. The tables are good size and well spaced out I didn't feel I was crowded . We will return again soon If a weekend I would advise booking it was busy all night.
