We headed out for a family drink and called into The Queen's Head where we very quickly decided to stay and have dinner after seeing some of the food coming out of the kitchen!! Although the kids' sausage, peas and chips, pulled pork burger and the bacon and cheese burger were delicious, the star of the night were the jerk ribs, which filled our two 6ft+ men up so much they passed on the dessert menu (unheard of!) - there also needs to be a special mention for the skin-on chips which were also superb. Great atmosphere, our dog was spoiled with lots of attention and we were made to feel really welcome by the locals - including the darts team. We have been back since this visit, and still can't find fault! Great pub and restaurant

I have waited until I have visited a few times before writing this review. I therefore thoroughly feel this beautiful pub deserves 5 stars. Every time my family have visited we have been met with very friendly staff and an excellent meal. I thoroughly recommend a pie here. I can honestly say it is the best pie Iāve had at any restaurant or pub. It is filled to the brim with filling and always comes with lashings of gravy. The roast dinner is great tooā¦ I see someone before said no mint sauce of horseradishā¦. We havenāt ever had this issue and itās always in plentiful supply. The place itself is traditionally old English pub, looks very beautiful at nights all lit with fairy lights. There is also a very large car park so itās not an issue parking during busy times. Highly recommend and will be returning.

We booked The George for a birthday brunch and highly recommend it. A lovely cosy village pub with friendly staff, good coffee and a great brunch menu with classics and less traditional options. We tried the smoked eel and will definitely be back for more!

The food in this place is absolutely delicious, fresh, homemade and so flavoursome, the baklava is THE BEST we have ever had and we have travelled to Greece alot, very much recommended, only criticism is to turn the greek music up a little and heating in the toilets š
