Not been here in a few years - understand there had been a few changes. Food is still good - venison roast with textures of onion and interesting scallop starter both memorable. Service friendly but quite leisurely in pace. Lovely spot and a nice log fire. Not as busy as we’d have expected it to be on a Saturday lunchtime. Worth a visit!

Popped in for a quick lunch with my sister, after hearing very good things about their homemade pies. They were right, we both went for the pie, which was chicken and leek that day and it was one of the best pies I have ever had, I especially loved the sage and onion mash.

Had lunch at The Three Mariners 2 years ago but we are not local. We were in the area again 2 weeks ago and popped in on the off chance. It was super-busy as it was Sunday lunch, but the lovely waitress Nadine squeezed us in and provided fabulous service. The roast dinner was AMAZING. Don’t know when we will be in Oare but wouldn’t hesitate to visit this pub again!

Lovely meal but a very misleading menu and a very rude manager - Nadine. The menu reads Asian Style Chicken Wings - Seven Spiced Chicken Wings With Kimchi Etc Etc For £10 Out came 3 small wings..... Instead of 7 Another table were saying the same thing behind us. I then mentioned it, she said she would check the menu then came over and said oh yeah it does.... then said but it means seven spices.... which it clearly does not state that. She then said she could do nothing and I needed to pay full price for 3 wings even though the menu clearly states 7. A shame as I live very local and tbh was just giving them feedback as I work in marketing and advertising (particular false advertising) but she didn't want to take any feedback on at all. Won't be returning because of this.

Had really high hopes for this pub which unfortunately weren't met. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was not up to standard. Mushroom & Spinach Ravioli was particularly bad and the Greek Chicken was very plain, neither were worth the price. However the muscles were very good. One main was removed from the bill which was a good gesture.

First time at the Three Mariners, Kyle & Nadine were lovely and welcoming even though we brought 3 scruffy dogs and 2 loud children. We sat in the garden in the sun while the kids played. At 6pm the kitchen opened so we ordered food. Bar snacks were available beforehand (loaded fried etc) but we'd just had a picnic on the beach so we didn't sample those. We ordered wings to share as a starter, they were delicious - I asked if they could do me a whole chicken with the same seasoning 😆 that wasn't on the menu obviously. The wings were large and meaty, not as you would expect- complimented by a devine kimchi dressing. Nadine served the children's meal with the starter so that kept them happy. She also provided crayons and pictures to colour in. Our mains arrived soon after, I had the buttered cod. The portion was much larger than I had imagined, I was absoloutely stuffed but I had to finish it all. Lovely fresh ingredients presented beautifully, much more than pub grub. Our drinks were kept flowing throughout our meal, there was a lovely atmosphere, good music, a mix of walkers, regulars and families wanting to enjoy a nice dinner. Thanks Kyle & Nadine. We'll be back again soon. It was the perfect end to our Saturday day out.

The biggest thing that lets these pubs down is service. The senior staff were very welcoming but the service is appalling. I dont like to be told that the reason that people who arrived after us got their food before us is " because chicken skewers take longer" do they? Really? I also dont want to be told that the reason our mains were so delayed is because we didn't order our mains as the same time as our starters. I also dont like to absolutely fleece my customers. If a group want one extra flatbread on a sharing platter why charge them? £1 for "DASH" of lemonade? £5 for what is a mug of chips? Spent £200 here for a birthday lunch. Will not be returning.

Loved everything about this place. From our arrival in the car park, looking up at the well kept pub, we knew we'd have a good lunch and it did not disappoint. We felt immediately welcome & if we'd not booked a meal or wasn't the designated driver - I'd have been very happy to stay in the bar area to drink all afternoon. The central 'Jack n Jill' log fire was perfect to warm us up. Great choice on the menu for seafood plus duck, burger and steak. A very pleasant end to a circular walk around the Oare Marshes. It's quite a food oriented pub but there certainly is space just to sit and have a beer (and this was a Sunday afternoon). There is a pleasant multi-levelled garden out the back with views towards the east - not the most beautiful view but it's a pleasant place to sit. It is, of course, a Sheps house with their usual range: Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale Ale on the pumps. Bottled 1698 available but only from the fridge. Definitely a welcome end of a walk to the Swale and back and friendly welcoming staff.

Had heard this was a super pub for food but was hugely disappointed. We really should have left after being told that at 7:30 in the evening most of the main dishes were off the menu!!!! No duck, no pie , no beef ribs. That left only a couple of choices. Food was ok but nothing special. My husband ordered sticky toffee pudding which arrived stone cold in the middle. Sent it back and the replacement was not much warmer. A friend ordered ice cream and it turned up in a tub you get in the theatre with wafer on the side, very weird! Will not be returning!

Visited for a special Sunday lunch for my husband and myself following a stint in hospital and Covid. Thought we would try you. Looked promising. Log fire and atmosphere inviting. However, food very disappointing. £22 for a meal, without any additional sides. We had cauliflower cheese at £5 extra for each of us. Without that side, the plate would not have looked full. Some of food was lukewarm. Potatoes sad, not crispy or fluffy. Three small pieces of pork. We opted for Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert but this was dry, certainly not unctuous and certainly not covered with a delicious sticky sauce. The staff were friendly and efficient but this did not make up for the food. So sad to give this review. We do go to another pub/restaurant in the Faversham area from time to time and this offers better value for money and an excellent Sunday lunch.

This pub was perfect, with spacious tables, rustic/stylish decor, cool background music and friendly/efficient/relaxed service. Then the menu…not vast but each dish interesting and something for everyone, and a great specials board. You think it can’t get any better…but if it’s Friday and you order the fish of the day, you can upgrade for £2 and have a glass of fizz. And the fizz is none other than Chapel Down! Wow! Apparently you can substitute this with other wine or beer, but a glass of Chapel Down for an extra £2? That gets my vote. What a place! We’ll definitely be back - probably on a Friday.

It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Only then did the waitress take our food order. The food was served at 3pm, an hour after arriving. Another drinks order was placed but nothing happened.
