Had breakfast on a Sunday morning, lovely chilled atmosphere, fantastic staff who are friendly and chatty, great food and drinks. Would highly recommend!

I was asked by the owners if i would like to try the new beef stacker sandwich either toasted or on whit or brown bread. The first one i had was on white bread with the horse radish on the side with crisps and salad, the following week i tried the the white toasted version but this time i had chips and i can they both options were exceedingly good and value for money, And as always the staff were polite and professional.

This place is really cozy and welcoming.The staff is very kind and nice.And the hot chocolate is delicious. Is a very lively environment and very familiar.

Visited here today for the 1st time with my daughter and granddaughter, my daughter and I had the afternoon tea ,which was amazing and at only £10 a head,very good value and my granddaughter had a kiddies sausage and chips, which she loved, we asked for ketchup and they gave her a little pot of it, it was extremely busy ,as its half term, so I was glad I pre booked , staff were extremely attentive and overall we had a lovely time, we will certainly be coming back.

Popped in at 310 for a cuppa whilst waiting for our chocolate to cool. The board outside said it closed at 4. We were reluctantly met with a grimace and was told 'we close very soon at 330'. The conversation followed 'we just wanted a couple of drinks of possible please' Met with an eyeroll and "drinks only". It was clear our custom was unwanted as soon as we stepped though the door, and we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable. With the kids badgering me for a drink, I purchased a couple of cans and went for a walk outside in the rain instead. (Yeap made to feel that uncomfortable) It's a real shame, as the cafe looks emaculate and I've heard lovely things about the place. I'm sure if you catch them on a good day, they are friendly and welcoming. Perhaps the half term rush, the muddy floors, grey skies, and rain was enough to take for one day, and I get that. Maybe next time, though, change the sign and a simple "'really sorry guys, we are closing a little early today, but I can grab you some drinks to enjoy outside" would have been a nicer, more appropriate response. 😒

It maybe just a one off but our first visit this morning wasn’t as good as we expected it to be. On arrival the Waitress couldn’t find my Reservation and when our breakfast was served it was lukewarm not hot. Disappointed to say the least. Not sure if we’ll be back.

The afternoon tea was delivered to the table without ceremony (except to tell us that the metal stand had a dodgy leg and to be careful!). The sandwiches were plain ham and cheese (no sign of the egg mayonnaise from the menu). As two of us were vegetarian, we asked if there were any alternative available and were told no. Not once in the entire meal did someone check we were okay - spent 5 minutes trying to wave someone over when we wanted to ask about the sandwiches, and then had to go and find someone (who was sitting at a table chatting) when I wanted to order more drinks. Very disappointing overall, won't be going back.

Been going to the Cafe for many years . Decided to go and have breakfast with my partner and dog . When we arrived we went to order and take our seats, but was told we weren't allowed in with the dog . But could sit on the outside tables . I said we have sat inside with our dog on numerous times. But was told the rules have changed. I wasn't sitting outside as it was blowing a gale . So went to another Cafe in town . And won't be returning there unless rules change.

Despite not having a reservation, we were offered a great table :) all the employees are extremely nice and accommodating. We all felt very comfortable. We were there for breakfast and it tasted very good. Great price-performance ratio.

Food and drinks ok shame about the arguments between the two young girls, shouting and swearing at each other for everyone to hear. Not somewhere I'd recommend or go to again.

Visited today after not having been for a while after a disappointing visit. Ventured in today feeling hopeful. Empty on arrival. Seated and served promptly. Over priced cakes. Lemon appeared to be missing from lemon drizzle cake, very bland. Coffee was good. Atmosphere was not very friendly. Smell of toasted/fried food lingers in the air and on clothes. A shame as used to be a vibrant place to meet and socialise.

Outstanding afternoon tea , victoria sponge was one of the best I had, cheese sandwich & scone were delicious, amazing friendly helpful staff and chatted to one of the staff think may of been owner at end as I purchased robin biscuits tin from them for Xmas present for my gran & noticed brackets they were selling on side , my friend who I was with explained that I was getting raffle prizes as was raising money for great Ormond Street hospital & we both worked for NHS & lady donated 2 of these bracelets thank you so much ,I did offer to pay for the bracelets but they wouldn't take the money We raised £160 for raffle I raised thanks again for bracelet Afternoon tea was £10 with cup of tea of coffee I will highly recommend this place & traveled from Margate to go here as my friend I met lives near here Will be back again hopefully before Xmas

Visited today with Family, booking is advisable. Very popular!!!! We had amazing food, sausages mash, stacked burger , homemade pie with fresh veg and mash lots on the menu. All staff pleasant, friendly and welcoming ! Will definitely be returning!

Terrible experience definitely avoid staff half asleep and food terrible overpriced and came out cold tables dirty menus all scruffy expecting produce from the farm it was a big disappointment wouldn’t return

Absolutely amazing cafe ❤️ very welcoming and polite staff members who are managed by lovely owners. They always have the time to speak and answer questions, getting to know their regulars. Food is freshly made by a very talented cook. Can get busy but always accommodate and aim to please all their customers, defo worth booking ahead if you are coming with a big group to avoid disappointment. Very highly recommended we visit every half-term/summer holidays as a treat for the kids, breakfast with great grandad who is a regular we absolutely love it here.

I have been here before and always found it to be of good quality and value for money .I hadn't booked on this occasion but found the staff very polite and they soon found us a table. After placing the order we didn't have to wait long before our drinks and food were served by the young waitresses who were very professional an attentive to hour needs, during the meal they also checked to see if all was ok. The area and tables were constantly being kept clean and tidy by all members of staff. I look forward to returning in the very near future and highly recommend. Additionally meals are available from breakfast to afternoon tea and cater for most peoples needs.

I visited the restaurant with a group of colleagues after a long meeting at work for some lunch. All members off staff were very welcoming and friendly towards my colleagues and I. The food was amazing very well done to the chef. The members off the staff did an amazing job. Would defiantly recommend and revisit on another date.

From arrival the staff were not very friendly. Half my family arrived first and wanted to order drinks. These couldn’t be added to a bill, they had to be paid for up front. We all ordered breakfasts. One waitress was friendly, the other was stone faced and miserable. We had regular Brogdale breakfasts and the mushrooms were black, the tomato was black and the bacon was black. The beans were cold. The only nice thing was the toast that came with it. As we had another appointment we didn’t have time to complain, but how they thought the breakfast looked good enough to serve beats me. Definitely not like the pictures on their fb page. Will not be returning. Shame

Poor, in fact I'd go as far as to say "rude" staff you seemed annoyed to be working there. Very disappointing.

We went as a family today after pumpkin picking. Horrible wet day and we all took our wellies off at the door, respecting the sign that said “no muddy shoes”. We all wanted to use the loo to wash our hands first of all (bit muddy after pumpkin picking!) but were told the toilets were out of order and were pointed in the direction of courtyard toilets. Whilst we were waiting for my hubby to come back with clean trainers I asked my 2 young daughters to go and find a table to sit at - there were plenty to choose from. I was then told by the older female member of staff they were “fully booked and had no tables free”. It was a bit disappointing as the restaurant was half empty but we hadn’t been before so assumed that it was a case of booking before. As we were waiting for my hubby to bring shoes back for us to leave, another group of 4 came in and asked if there was availability, only to be shown to a table! I asked the staff member why it was they had been given a table, to be told they had booked, but the family that had sat down overheard the conversation and said that they hadn’t booked. They actually offered us the table first (thinking they had skipped the queue!) I said to the staff member I didn’t think that was fair but she was really rude and abrupt back, saying she wasn’t going to argue about it, before then turning her back to talk to someone else. I was a little taken aback to be honest, as I certainly wasn’t arguing, hadn’t raised my voice and was perfectly polite being infront of my 2 young daughters. I haven’t ever experienced such rudeness before like that, and a real shame given that it seems a lovely place. I’m still not sure as to why we were turned away, perhaps as we had children or because we had come with a big group pumpkin picking and she had assumed it was for all of us (not just my family of 4). I don’t know, but regardless, there was really no need for such rudeness and it seems I’m not the first to make such comments. First time visiting and sadly won’t be returning.

Went to a wonderful restaurant today for coffee, the place was extremely busy. The staff were coping well and everything was going smoothly. The customers appeared happy and content. A very rude and immature person (female) walked in and demanded a table for 12 which was obviously not possible at that precise time because the tables were all full. The woman was very rude and aggressive towards the manager who very politely tried to explain that at short notice this was not possible.. The woman became increasingly aggressive towards the management lady . When going in larger parties to anywhere such as restaurants it’s always advisable to book to avoid disappointment. This woman was obviously upset but it’s not fair to act like a rude and spoiled child just because of this. If requested I’m very sure that the party would have been accommodated a little later in the afternoon. .This is just an observation from myself because it seems unfair to write bad reviews about things which cannot be helped. We’ve always been treated very well there and would happily go again.

I so rarely give a one star review but this place! We hadn’t been to this cafe for quite some time, having been met with rudeness (from manager or owner) in the past. Our recent visit shows that nothing has changed. I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would work in the hospitality industry when the clearly resent providing any sort of service.

Incredibly rude owner who had obviously overbooked his restaurant and under catered; for over an hour I watched him turn people away in increasingly rude and aggressive ways. Food was bland and I won’t be returning or recommending anyone else does

Urgh. I find this place super frustrating as it has soooo much potential but it’s so hit and miss! We only live walking distance from here so will sometimes find ourselves popping in for a drink and something to eat. Sometimes food and service is lovely (eggs Benedict fab!!). Other times not so great. Staff is the main issue. Often young girls with miserable attitude standing round having a chat. I must say this does not include one young girl (Chantelle??) who is super friendly and makes up for the rest! We once came in before Christmas and heard the owners having a massive argument in the kitchen for everyone to hear. Have stopped ordering sandwiches as they don’t have butter in nor do the jacket potatoes even when asked. No one wants a dry Sandwich or potato! Tried to order a plain milkshake once, without all the cream and donuts on, was told I could but it would be the same price of £5.95? Just really little things that let this place down which is why it’s sooo frustrating. A little bit of tweaking and a staffing overhaul and this place good be great.

I made the journey to Brogdale farm to have my COVID and Flu jabs at my chemist who I use for my medical needs as they deliver, well hubby and I arrived early so had a cup of tea while we waited for our turn. We enjoyed the feel and atmosphere of the place decided to return after our jabs to have lunch. The food was very good, hubby having liver and bacon, and I opted for the haddock. Hubby really like the coffee which they served not to bitter. Vin and Jen were the perfect hosts, and we shall return and maybe do a tour of the orchards next time.

A very nice friendly atmosphere, fresh food delivered with a smile and a particularly pleasing place to settle down and chat with friends after a walk. We both had baguettes followed by cake and tea. Perfect!

Having come for years, we did not pre-book, having intended to decant a couple of our party there while the others had treatments at Country Practice. Being told that they were fully booked was fair enough. What wasn’t fair enough was the fact that over the next hour and fifteen minutes, while we waited with the lovely people at Country Practice, tables were unused and, one presumes, there was ample capacity. I’m not sure how one can run a business turning away customers, and I’ve heard from others that this sort of thing has become more common. A pity, as I want to support local businesses, and I’ve enjoyed visiting previously, although I have noticed on the last few occasions that the quality of service has declined a shade. Can’t imagine I’ll come again. I can’t comment on the food this time, as we didn’t have any. In fairness, it’s been decent on previous occasions.

We stopped off here for some breakfast before a 3 hour drive home. The food and coffee was very nice, and kept us well nourished for our journey.

I absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant. The food is excellent, and great value for money, with good sized portions, beautifully presented. I love the pretty vibe, with great care and attention paid to the decor, and nice details with the afternoon tea, milkshakes etc. The staff are super friendly, there’s a real family atmosphere, and they definitely go above and beyond to accommodate any extras without being intrusive, pestering or rushing you. It’s great for either a proper meal, stopping by for sandwiches or cakes, or just popping in for a coffee. A really nice little find.

It's a shame there is only one cafe at Brogdale as the service and staff at this one are pretty poor. The food isn't really up to scratch either. Not impressed.

Amazing good and excellent service

Went into order drinks for my family and witnessed the terrible attitude the staff ( in particular an older gentleman) were displaying to a mother and her three children. It seems he did not appreciate her feedback on the quality of the food ( a sentiment shared by other customers) and so dealt with her by being snarky, condescending and downright rude. The rest of the staff stood around gawking. As she left in tears, the male member of staff audibly retorted ' see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya'. I could barely believe my ears. This place needs a bucket load of training in customer service. Exceptionally unprofessional and embarrassing to witness. Left without making any purchases on principle. Edited to add: the owners response to this review is at best laughable and at worst deceptive.

Horrendous experience with this place. I had heard nice things before so we gave it a go. They seem to snatch menus back off of you as soon as possible and even though the staff member taking my order for drinks, said she would put them on the bill for our table, another lady shouted over to make me pay now. This was instantly rather rude and really weird. Once seated we ordered food so I can't see why the drinks couldn't have been added to the same bill. The kids all ordered the chicken burger which all came out with burnt chips that looks like they'd been re heated from the day before. My brie and bacon baguette came out without the brie. When I asked for it to be corrected, they disappeared with it, added the ice cold brie and brought it back. By this time the bacon was cold and chewy with ice cold solid brie with it. I asked for a fresh one and got snapped at that it was fresh. She did eventually go and prepare a fresh baguette, however, they didn't bother buttering the roll and then served it with a few cheese and onion crisps which are an acquired taste, not what you'd expect. When I asked for sauces for the 3 kids, we were given 4 measly cheap sachets and we had to ask for more. Whilst sitting writing this review, a male (assuming manager) was reading over my shoulder and said he hoped I have the write site. He then pulled out his phone and took photos of us and the table and said he will post them in reply to my review to prove we ate the food. You'll see the boys left their chips and I left my cheese and onion crisps. I asked what the problem was, he became defensive, aggressive and he refused to actually answer me - this was in front of the whole restaurant. I got my phone out to record him and he stormed out to the kitchen, refusing to be aggressive on camera. Overall, the food was just about edible, hence why we ate most of it (plus no other choice) but the service was the most horrendous I've ever encountered. They tried to humiliate an autistic mother on her own with her 3 children just because they couldn't accept the food wasn't great. I hadn't paid my bill at this point, so I left £40 on their counter (which was still too much for the quality of food) and left. Another customer came to check I'm OK and I went to the main Brogdale farm office to let them know what happened. They've asked for me to write it to the main estate owner so that they can deal with it. Its a shame that one business can lower the tone of the whole place.

Very friendly family run restaurant. On our visit for lunch we found the choice of food and drinks to be good. The food was flavoursome well presented and a reasonable price. Our granddaughter really enjoyed her milkshake. It was nice to have good service as well as being clean and tidy.

Was served. By a very good waitress, (Heather,) food was good well presented, latte was as you would expect. Overall good place for a breakfast, lunch, or just coffee and cake. Just had breakfast with my wife, had young staff running the cafe today, no one over 20 by the look of it. Have been here before and we were pre-warned the service & quality had declined of late but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. We should've listened. The place was not even half full but there was still an air of chaos wIth just a handful of harrassed looking staff. After an awkwardly long wait to be seated we were half-heartedly shown a table and left to our own devices. Once we'd watched and listened to another customer politely complaining about their food to a surly, disinterested waitress we decided to cut our losses and left without ordering. We had time off from work and it was an hour round trip so not a spur of the moment decision to go here. This made it doubly disappointing. Have the owners lost interest or just sitting on faded laurels? Either way some big improvements are needed to drag this place out of its tired complacency.

It was shut when we arrived at 15:30. Woman in the National Fruit Collection kindly made us hot drinks. Three families came today to find it shut. Not impressed. After response from the owner via Google, not via her own website, I still think, if you say your café is open until 4, it should stay serving until 4. If you are not going to do that, you should change your opening hours till 3:30 pm. No one will complain if you don't close on the dot! We were there at 3:30, and no one was on the premises.

Came for a late breakfast and was a little disappointed. My wife had a sausage sandwich but found the sausage burnt and the bread dry. I had the eggs benedict but the muffins were soggy where the eggs hadn't been dried and the bearanise sauce was congealed. Such a shame, coffee was nice though.

I visited the restaurant the courtyard at brogdale Faversham with a few colleagues i work with, while riding from Gravesend on our bikes, the owners of the restaurant were very respectful and kind about us leaving bikes outside of the door and seating us while being extremely busy. They were very kind and respectful. I had a mega burger while my colleagues had fajitas. The meal was perfect and had to food out very quickly and perfectly made and presented i was very satisfied with my visit and will be returning soon!!!

I visited for lunch with my wife while stuck in traffic, wanted to get some quick lovely food. The food was freshly cooked, my wife has a ploughmans and it looked amazing all lovely and fresh, the staff was very welcoming and respectful towards me and my wife. The chef came out and asked how our food was and the young lady was very polite and respectful.

Visited today for breakfast, sent one vegetarian breakfast back for being drowned in water from the mushrooms and coffee for a dirty mug. The other 3 standard breakfasts literally had 2 mushrooms cut in to 4 and a table spoonful of beans. Upon returning the vegetarian breakfast (which had been ordered with extra mushrooms to begin with ) had no mushrooms on the plate and was told the had ‘run out’ so essentially making the breakfast a £9 beans and egg on toast was very disappointing. Had to ask for butter for toast twice and get up to find someone for ketchup. At nearly £40 for 4 very under average breakfast’s and diss organised service was a little disappointing. Not value for money and unfortunately won’t be returning

We only popped in for a pot of tea on a cold Saturday afternoon. The staff were lovely and attentive. It had a nice feel about the place. I can imagine it gets busy in the summer months. Nice place to sit and chat. We didn't eat but the food we saw looked good. The milkshake with a doughnut looks particularly appealing! Prices were reasonable.

Had scones and coffee both of which were delicious. Service was excellent with staff being friendly and attentive. Would have given six stars if cheese scones had been available. Hopefully next time!

The owners and staff are extremely polite and courteous, hence the reason for booking a Sunday lunch today. The main was excellent, but that is all we had. After waiting 1/2 hour after our main, no one came and asked if we had finished or if would like a sweet or anything else. I said to my wife that I would go and pay and we could then go. They were not overly busy, 3 tables inside and about the same outside.I mentioned to the young lady at the till that I would have liked a sweet and coffee, but because they couldn't be bothered, I would pay for my main and go. She did apologise, but too late, once bitten twice shy. I won't be going back there.

Lovely lunch here yesterday - shepherd's pie and fresh vegetables and plenty of it! Very reasonably priced and tasty. We sat out in the courtyard which was extremely pleasant. Highly recommended.

Our visit on a very busy bank holiday lunchtime. We were welcomed by friendly staff. With a good choice of food at reasonable prices. Our food as was the service excellent. Our family will return again, I'm looking forward to tasting the Sunday roast.

We went for the breakfast session and I asked to exchange my hash browns for some mushrooms. Had my head bitten off and was told no exchanges to be had , far too busy. We looked around and saw 2 other tables with people on ! Food was average and not very warm. Didn’t say anything at the time as I was far too angry. Will not be returning
