Forget the cost. Go for the tasting menu which is superb. The atmosphere is wonderful. Each item on the tasting menu is perfectly timed. Miso amuse bouche, foie gras parfait is parfait, beef skewers served on a mini BBQ were superbly tender, scallops divine. What wasn't to like. Staff are the epitome of great training and discipline as well as kindness.

The chicken burger was wet, bland, mushy and horrible. The fries were fine so I ate those, I told the staff who served us and they couldn’t care less so I asked if it was possible not to be charged for mine but they said as I’d already tried to eat the burger which I left the rest of as it was a pile of mush and that I had ate the fries they wouldn’t. I asked if they did the online discount they had on their site and they said no it was from a while ago. There was no way of them giving me any form of compensation for my experience in any form. Luckily this place has since shut down.

What a lovely little country pub, friendly staff, fantastic food with great atmosphere, highly recommend Hoison Duck and Eton Mess, my partner had the Lamb Shank which the meat just fell off the bone, his sticky toffee pudding was amazing. I wish I’d captured the desserts.

Came here for my parents anniversary as my dad has coeliac disease. The food was so tasty! The setting is beautiful and the choice on the menu was great. But it’s the staff that make it! They decorated the table for us, which looked fab, and when two of our party were delayed they were really accommodating. All I can say is thank you so much and I’m so glad we chose to come, and recommend the pub to everyone!

Pretty disappointing experience overall after seeing positive reviews. Ordered the dirty bbq board for £70 and had to add an order of brisket for £35 as it didn’t come with it. Turkey and pulled pork were dry, buffalo wings were pretty tasty along with the ribs. The burnt ends were the best item in the board, probably because they were soaked in sauce. 3 slices of brisk for £35 was pretty disappointing, pretty fatty. Wouldn’t rush back as there are better bbq places around. Pretty sure the food was reheated as the smoker weren’t fired up.

The two women serving on Easter Sunday morning deserve a medal! It was busy so there was a bit of a wait for food/drink but they were working their socks off and being as efficient as possible - and still smiling and being friendly and polite!

The gardens were lovely, however we wanted to have tea in the topiary garden. So disappointing. The scones were awful they were so hard! ( it's not difficult to make a fresh scone). Paper cups, paper basin for the scone and victoria sponge. Cardboard knives! Cardboard spoons ! What ever has happened to enjoying a piece of cake and a cup of tea on a proper plate. Has this lackadaisical attitude evolved since lockdown? (It seems the case in many other places too). Or are we becoming a "can't be bothered society".

No bar food and revolting lager tasting like soap. Had another side business indian takeaway upon the place that is placed now on the last used kitchen that is was condemed by health and safety due to this being a old toilet block that still consists of sewage and drains!!. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Try the village for the real deal
