What a depressing experience. The lad serving never smiled, there was no pastries only cakes, at least the young lady was friendly. Coffee was good but please be more wrlcoming

Place was empty, asked for decaff coffee, and had to repeat myself when they went to put the grounds in and not the decaff bag. Couldn't rate the food as didn't eat there and couldn't rate the atmosphere as there was only 1 person working and no customers.

Staff here are friendly and helpful.

i came in today at 2:30, the barista in training was kind, and the other worker on shift (with glasses) was incredibly rude, to me & his co-worker. also, no oat milk. huge lack of customer service at this service station

Rude staff. Bad experiences with me and my partner at different times. Shut early and make you feel unwelcome as if you are burdening them by even asking for coffee or food to be warmed up.

This is a lovely Costa on the London bound side of the Thanet Way at Dargate. Staff are friendly and the service is excellent. Coffee is great .thank you.

We were eating in and yet our food was served as a takeaway! No offer to redo! My ham and cheese sandwich, once out of the cardboard, was overcooked and hard to bite in to. The iced mocha was absolutely excellent though! Please ask before assuming takeaway!

Won’t ever go back after meeting a Friend for coffee & cake and receiving a £60 fine for being 8 minutes over there 90 minute parking time limit.

I don't really eat much of the food from here, mainly just cake and coffee. But always a good service and friendly. Toilets could do with an update and clean. But always a good place to stop for coffee

No peanut butter to go with the toast, even though it clearly is advertised on their point of sale. No toasted teacakes. Gave up on food at that point. The man needs a customer service course ASAP. Never smiled and I'd say didn't want to be there. Won't be back !!

Like this one as coffee is served hot not lukewarm like many other Costas.

No alternative milk available. Washroom could be cleaner.

One guy knew his job, but the guy who served me was useless, wouldn't use the instruction on the wall, kept asking the other guy, took forever to make my drinks

Great place to chill and distress. Plenty of choice in food and drinks. Staff are friendly and never feel rushed.

Treated as an irritation by head office staff after being told twice a PCN would be cancelled. 8mths later we were threatened with bailiffs as fine was increased to £170. Two members of staff apologised and in their words “it happens all the time” the friend I was with had his fine cancelled. I was strung and the last email I received from head office stated they will not answer anymore emails from me! I emailed customer services 3 weeks ago highlighting it was down to their staff lying to me. Not even had an acknowledgment. I know it shouldn’t matter but my wife and I are pensioners on a fixed income so including the £35 spent during our visit it has now cost me £200. All I asked was that staff be told they cannot tell customers that they can get parking fines cancelled. The site is off road on a dual carriageway, the last thing I expected to see in an empty car park was a parking time limit. For goodness sake the staff saw how long we were in their establishment, the shop was empty for most of the so it was obvious to staff on duty. Being threatened with bailiffs was the final straw, bearing in mind this had gone on for 8 months, my wife was terrified at every knock on the door. The only reason I’ve put this on here is because Costa Coffee have no customer service strategy or even care about their customers.

Can’t say no to a good hot chocolate

Place could do with a bit of a deep clean, to be honest . Lots of staff all were busy but still dirty tables and the toilets needed attention. Staff member thought they were ok as he had just used them . Drinks very yummy service was ok poor guy was hanging from a good night out bless him. Good to see the youth doing enjoyable things after covid .

Had 2 flat whites and a Bakewell Waste of £9.60 Flat whites were awful , Bakewell was stale , the 2 guys working there were very lazy , so much rubbish lying around on the floor and not much enthusiasm to do their job , need a good kick up the backside , last time there were European women working there , coffees were good and the place looked clean , what happened ? I shan’t bother stopping there again

Stopped off for quick coffee on our way to visit friends. Was good to see staff chatting and smiling amongst each other ( the 3 I saw) looked happy in thier work, place was clean and tidy. Had a lovely friendly feel about it. Service was good. Nice to relax for 20 mins. Thank you.

One of the best Flat White Coffee's I've had in a long time.

Shabby shop. Poorly stocked. I was the only customer with two staff on duty. Seven tables dirty, outside total pigsty. Overflowing bins, dirty ashtrays, spilled coffee and food debris everywhere. One member of staff stood outside smoking in uniform, came back behind counter without washing hands. Drank my coffee while listening to Costa staff member talking loudly to Subway staff member (adjoining shop) about where you can buy drugs locally. Poor service. Poor standards. Just avoid.

As always staff very friendly service is always good. Vaz is always polite and willing to chat. Decor could do with a refresh. Other than that no complaints.

Staff and snacks were pleasant. However, the latte was weak (the espresso cup was not catching all coffee whilst being prepared) and the hot chocolate lacked flavour. Also, requests for face coverings were not adhered to by about 3/4's of customers (or delivery men) and was not enforced

Coffee was great. So I had two. Then went back to my car in 1 hour 35 minutes. At home a fine of £100 for parking over 90 minutes. Why have a limit for parking? And more importantly, why are the staff allowing customers to linger over 90 minutes if they know the consequences. I'm disgusted the staff didn't tell me. Will not drink there again. To get charged for having a sit down!

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, I HAD JUST BEEN THERE 1 HOUR BACK, WE HAD ENTERED COSTA BEFORE THE CLOSING TIME AND MY WIFE WAS WAITING IN LINE TO USE THE TOILET. ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBER JUST APPROACHED HER AND RUDELY TOLD HER THAT SHE NEEDS TO LEAVE.MY WIFE SAID TO HER THAT SHE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR NEARLY 10 MIN, THE STAFF AGAIN SPOKE RUDELY AND SAID TO HER I DONT CARE, I THEN ASKED THE GIRL FOR HER NAME AND SHE REFUSE TO GIVE. SHE HAD A VERY BAD ATTITUDE AND DIDNT CARE AT ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.WHEN I LEFT THE SHOP ANITHER FAMILY APPROACHED ME AND SAID THAT THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS WELL. CAN THE MANAGEMENT OF COSTA LOOK INTO THIS. APPERENTLY THIS IS A ONGOING ISSUE AT THIS STORE.

Staff was so rude went in for a coffee and got a girl behind the counter say what do u want so rude I left it went to the petrol station otherside of carpark got coffee there completly rude don't want to do the job don't but they lost out If I could give it negative stars u would horrible place

One star is to much for this Branch of Costa On my first ever visit it was Dirty inside with dust and food on the floor away from the counter and this was at 0900 in the Morning the car Park was ! Well bins full over flowing with rubbish all over the car park , Costa cups and tissues I have to say having a Subway next Door contributes to the state of the place but never the less the pair of them should be ashamed of the state of their premises there is no excuse for it. Well there is having two people at very busy times don’t help So come on Costa get in and sort before my next trip, and I Don’t want your £4 free gift just clean up your act. That will do.

Ok but noisy if you sit outside Aircon too cold inside

Have been in there several times since November. Each time the staff are really miserable and unfriendly. No idea why. The products are good enough but you leave feeling like Voldemort has stolen your soul...like a massive moodhoover. Please lighten-up!!

I think Costa is a little overrated though their blueberry muffin and latte does satisfy me quite well.

Coffee was very good, it is Costa so that is to be expected. The panini I noticed was only heated for half the required time. This during a pandemic where you would hope cooking was taken a bit more seriously.

Stopped off to grab a coffee the lady in this costa is so rude..she gave 3 sugars for 2 large coffees so I got back in for more and she was so rude saying I didnt ask for sugar etc..lady had glasses and tattoos and an accent. Deffently wont be going back here to receive this sort of customer service.

Clean and handling the stipulations of social distancing and safety precautions very well. Try the Honeycomb Cappuccino! It's fantastic!

Lemon cake was stale and frostino drinks tasted tangy and had barely any flavour, not up to the usual Costa standard.

Seems to be going down hill in terms of brand standard since coca cola took over.

Saturday 11th Jan 2020. Though I live local I needed fresh air and freedom for an hour. Costas are all over the country and love 'em or hate 'em, they fill a gap and are nearly ALWAYS consistent. The coffee isn't everybodys cup of tea (oh, comedian) but you know what you'll get. WRONG!! Dargate Costa has managed to deliver the most undrinkable sludge ever What it was I don't know. But it wasn't coffee. I checked the receipt in case I'd ordered sludge, droppings or whatever, but it says COFFEE. Awful. The guy serving was pleasant, his colleague curt and rude. Table uncleared, Lemon Tart dry as a bone one side, moist the other. A six pound joke of a cafe/coffee house, AVOID.

Horrible shop. Queues horrendous, sorry environment, lack of staff, complained as soon as I was home.

I made a huge mistake stopping at this establishment. I am shocked at the filth I found and cannot see how this has a 5 star food hygiene rating. The tables had a built up crust of residue around the edges; the floor was filthy; and staff were standing on chairs cleaning shelves above the coffee machine and over the cups waiting to be used.The windows were disgusting and it looked as though someone had thrown a drink up the door window some time ago.Whilst I appreciate that at busy times it can be difficult to clear and clean, this establishment was not busy, and I am shocked that management could overlook the filth.

A pitstop on the way to London. Cortado coffee,Tea and a Lemon Muffin,all tasty and acceptable,served well and enjoyed in a comfy chair. The solo toilet was in demand,and was required by three people at once,very slow,and would have appreciated an extra one.

Fast service, fantastic smoothie

I like this convienient little Costa. The service is always fast and friendly, despite being quite busy at random times of the day as it's a great little service stop. It's a shame Starbucks opened across the road, but if you want a cheaper and nicer customer service experience I would always pick Costa. Better coffee too! I had a meal deal today which despite the lack of sandwich/salad choice, is well worth the £4.95. It includes a coffee or bottle of drink, and crisps and fruit as well as panini or toasted sandwich. My one gripe about this place is the lack of nice seating. Inside is standard Costa layout, but there are doors at the back which lead to a very overgrown and brambly area. If this was cut back, there could be a lovely outside space which, although near the dual carriageway, would also look out on to the fields and could be a welcome break for long haul drivers. It would also rival the Starbucks over the road which doesn't appear to have any outdoor seating. Regardless, there are a couple of small tables and chairs out the front overlooking the car park, and if you really can't find the sandwich you are after, there is a convieniently placed Subway right next door, as well as the petrol station so you can fill up completely before you go on your way!

Very dirty tables, not much choose in food, Very expensive, I suggest you drive up to the Whitatable turn off and stop at the Beefeater on the rounderbout. Two toasted samwiches and a coffee £10.70. Poor service I will not be stopping again.

It's fine. Small Costa, serves all the usual. Only one unisex toilet which is strange for a service station one. But coffee was still nice.

Spend a lot of money up and down the country with Costa, but last week after spending hour and half in there and £15 later, I recieved a parking fine in the post.Quite outrageous and will be challenging this. I refuse to use Costa anymore and have put on social media to avoid unless you can afford to risk.

Popped in for a coffee and my 3 year old daughter was suddenly desperate for the toilett, asked to use and they demanded that we buy something first as toiletts are only for cusromers. The attitude put us off as we were snapped at we had to buy to get the code for the loo. I thought with an attitude like that, Im sure the service wasn't going to be much better and we left to find out if they had a toilett in the services over the road and get our coffee elswhere. Terrible service when you have a little one that couldn't wait for you to buy something!

Nice food and drink, staff were helpful. Furniture could do with renewing some tears on the sofa.

Really poor service, filthy tables, staff concerned more about takeaways than customers inside. Service with a scowl as clearly some staff unable to cope. No leadership apparent.

Not the place to go if you intend to stay longer than 90 minutes as there are parking restrictions. I received a £60 parking charge after meeting clients there and staying over the time allowed. There are no ways to stay longer if you wish to, without a parking charge.

Quite a good place at the side of the road. Nice hot drinks, staff happy enough and helpful. The day I visited the Paninis were 50% off, winner. Toilet clean and tidy and suitable for disabled..
