No bar food and revolting lager tasting like soap. Had another side business indian takeaway upon the place that is placed now on the last used kitchen that is was condemed by health and safety due to this being a old toilet block that still consists of sewage and drains!!. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Try the village for the real deal

I visited 8 years ago and this place was busy and a lovely friendly pub, now its Dead and run to the ground. No food!! and no customers. the staff were rude without any kind of acknoledgement of us visiting. The lager tasted as if the pipes had not been cleaned for weeks on end. Left and will not visit ever again.

Nos hemos estado alojando en el Red Lion en Dunquerque, Kent durante muchos años durante nuestras vacaciones en el REINO UNIDO. Solía ser un alojamiento sencillo pero buen pub y ofrece comida de pub. También los anfitriones eran muy amables. Sin embargo, a lo largo de los años, este lugar tiene en términos de otros clientes y servicio de venir a un nivel que no adecuado para nosotros.

Un salto para tomar un trago. Señora tierra es precioso. Tenía un par de juegos de billar en una mesa de pool de la vieja escuela inglesa. Muy divertido. No solo la comida por las noches y así no hay.

Esto no vale la pena la caminata desde el refugio que cruzaba la carretera principal. Y entramos en un camino largo que era bastante peligroso. A la llegada en primer lugar me pareció que estaba cerrado pero estaba claramente, no es un pub. Ahora entiendo por qué. El servicio era lento y no es muy acogedor, incluso con sólo dos muchachos en el bar, así que me acomodé con una pinta. Yo no siento que quería probar la comida no parece el tipo de lugar para sentarse y comer. El chico sentado en el bar me dijeron que las habitaciones de la parte trasera, pero allí todo recogedores tomado fruta bye que usar la cocina para su propio uso. Este confirmó que sería conseguir una pastey desde el garaje en el hotel. León rojo no lo siento me gusta haciendo algo mal dejar comentarios, pero me pareció que era tan injusto para otros travel lodge los visitantes.

Fuimos a al Red Lion desde el Travelodge en la calzada norte. Fue apenas merece la pena el esfuerzo. Las patatas fritas estaban bien, pero el precio de £8 por patatas fritas, además de dos rebanadas de jamón y un paquete de huevo frito era exorbitante. Tuve la César con pollo, hamburguesa y patatas fritas - una pequeña hamburguesa de pollo, con un pedazo de queso procesado, un trocito de tomate, pepino y aderezo césar en un pelea, todo se sirve en un plato frío - que fue igualmente un pobre valor de £7. La cerveza estaba bien, que era el único. No volveremos.

Utilizamos las rojas 3 veces de león este año, por 3 jubilación para llevar. 2, Instalaciones para barbacoa, en los jardines, donde la cobertura y capacidad, y una gran mezcla de carnes y ensaladas, pastel. Además, un curry almuerzo, con todos los trimings. buen servicio, amables propietarios, y nada es demasiado problema. fácil aparcamiento.

changes names just like the wind!! does its routes round the family to change names none of them between then have any idea how to run a proper business and the place has been killed from the day they started its a great shame as the locals love this pub and when the new owners take over this shall be a lovely family pub again, just see for yourself when you are welcomed by the lovely landlady

The food was good, very old pub with it's own ghost. Friendly staff and locals. Welcomed by the (I think) the resident dog called MAX. He is a friendly dog.

probado este lugar para una comida como también de grupo como una bebida en el bar La comida era excelente. También buena verity, que tenía un precio razonable. Una buena selección de bebidas. Nos hicieron sentir muy a gusto. El personal del bar era muy trabajadora y amable. El pub es un 'viejo pub propio del país' muy limpio y bien cuidado. Sin duda mi camino para ir aquí de nuevo. Todo un 5 * pub/restaurante.

Estuve hace poco en el Red Lion para el almuerzo - a pesar no estar demasiado lejos esta fue la primera vez que había estado allí para una bebida o una comida.

Had a lovely evening meal but bar service was poor seemed like the bar managers girlfriend was more interested in smoking and playing on her phone than concentrating on her job

greeted?? yes i was not even spoken to. The female owner who was uttely abrupt and rude to me and did not acknoledge my presence at all this is my personal 2nd visit and my last. after waiting 15 minutes for service this is not good as this is not a busy pub in the daytime!!, Then a lovely young gentleman came in and served me very chirpy i had lovely food here but cannot recommend the poor service as my table was not layed out untill my food came out!!

Found this on Trip Advisor when staying in the area. A traditional Family run pub which also had accommodation. We were made to feel very welcome and it was friendly, even though they insulted our pool playing!! The food was lovely and for a small place had a good choice. After living on meals out for 2 weeks it was great to have some proper cooked veg.

Played a bat and trap championship here food good. However unfriendly young staff when complainew.about lager and coke being flat seemed not interested. Lack of staff behind bar and lack respect for customers.great shame.

Excellent food (barbeque) and good value for money. Nice surroundings and good Bat & Trap pitches. Would willingly recommend

Had read the reviews, so thought I would chance it. Excellent meal. Best hot pot I have ever tasted. Very friendly bar staff on Good Friday evening.

Friendly, hard working bar staff, welcoming locals, a buzzing atmosphere with a great live acoustic band on the night we visited. Clean comfortable accommodation, and a good spread of complimentary party food. 10 out of 10 all round!!

food good but made not to feel welcome didnt help with a dog in premises starring whilst eating went elsewhere

Popped in on the off chance of some food at 3.30pm, even though the pub was empty and the board said 'Food served 12-3pm' they were happy to accommodate us. Cooking for us specially, nice large children's portions. Huge tasty burger and fish & chips. All reasonably priced. All staff welcoming & friendly. Came across this place by chance as the Red Lion in Hernhill- couldn't serve us food at 2.45pm. Glad we did! X

Decent food and accommodation clean. Staff very nice and helpful. Our party included children and it wasn't a problem on an evening in the bar as the staff and locals alike were very friendly.

Excellent food reasonably priced!We were passing through on the way to Dover and stopped for dinner.We're all real ale drinkers and the beer was good and well kept.The food was excellent pub grub! Large portions, hot and tasty.The atmosphere was very 'local' but being from Cornwall this is exactly what we like.A very enjoyable evening!
