As usual, our visit to The Dove was an excellent experience. The menu had a good choice of items, with Venison at the top of the list for fantastic quality and presentation. The staff, led by Will and Sophie, were very attentive, responding well to customer requests and anticipating likes and dislikes. It was quite a busy afternoon with only two 'front of house' staff, but Sophie and her assistant provided a well-paced, relaxed ambiance with no undue delays between courses. Long may The Dove's success continue!

Steak was an absolute winner my partner said! I really enjoyed the sea bass, extremely generous! You cannot miss out on the homemade Kent Gypsy Tart! Wonderful friendly atmosphere, the team could not do enough to help you enjoy the experience. Definitely will be back when I’m in Kent again!

Long way from home we took a chance on Sunday Lunch here, and we felt extremely lucky that it absolutely came up trumps. Our family guests, who only live ten miles away hadn’t even heard of it, but they too were very impressed. Lovely, helpful, enthusiastic young team added to our enjoyment of the food. Can be thoroughly recommended. Prawn and avacadoes served with homemade sourdough toast sounds predictable but was far better. Tender pink roast sirloin with excellent Yorkshire pudding (and that from a long standing Yorkshire lady). Tasty home made lemon tart. Good selection of wine which was as reasonably priced as the lunch. Time to treat the family to a Sunday Lunch!

We headed out for a family drink and called into The Queen's Head where we very quickly decided to stay and have dinner after seeing some of the food coming out of the kitchen!! Although the kids' sausage, peas and chips, pulled pork burger and the bacon and cheese burger were delicious, the star of the night were the jerk ribs, which filled our two 6ft+ men up so much they passed on the dessert menu (unheard of!) - there also needs to be a special mention for the skin-on chips which were also superb. Great atmosphere, our dog was spoiled with lots of attention and we were made to feel really welcome by the locals - including the darts team. We have been back since this visit, and still can't find fault! Great pub and restaurant
