The best restaurants in Abbey Swale South East

First visit to the Moonlight, and we enjoyed it from start to finish. Quickly attended to by the staff, who were friendly and jolly. Food was well priced, quickly served, fresh and delicious. They're also good at all the small things. A cup of tea comes with the teabag, and a pot of milk so you can have it exactly how you like it, the paper napkins are big and tough enough for the messiest eater, pots of sugars and condiment sachets on each table. Plus salt and pepper in proper pots, etc. When the staff aren't serving they're cleaning, always a good sign. The toilets are spotless.

I would not advise visiting cafe on a Saturday. To be fair they were busy but tables were not wiped or cleared, despite asking for it to be cleaned our food came and was laid amongst dirty dishes from last customers I had to ask for it to be cleared. No apology just a comment that they were busy. The food that came out was wrong. With food coming out at separate times with some of our party finishing theirs before the others had started. The food itself is pricey but good and they have lots of healthy options. Unfortunately the last few times the service and wait for food was very disappointing. We will try somewhere else for our Saturday coffee and snack.

My Brother had his 70th Birthday Bash at The Maypole - as a private function. Super venue - super food and a super host managing it all. Certainly a day to remember. Many thanks!

It’s a beautiful cappuccino from Malakaai. Absolutely nice service and nice coffees. Highly recommended. Keep it up good work.

The food is sugar and oil disguised as curry. A sea of sauce with nothing in it except a few bits of lamb. Vegetables are non-existent, even in the vegetable options, there are 4 green beans, 1 brussel sprout, a sliver of carrot. It's just poor quality food, that needs all the sugar and fat to disguise this. The mint sauce is alarming, no food should glow in the dark! There's no freshness or real food, just various versions of coloured sugar and fat. This is probably just Indian takeaways in general.

It used to be good but just I've had possibly the worst cod and chips I've ever had. It's a shame because it used to be the best. I'm shocked they even served me this rubbish.

Always friendly and accommodating. Good food and the best pancake rolls! My go to for the last 8 years! Enough said.

I love siitting outside on market days and watching the world go by. A friendly welcome and a great place to meet friends.

Great place, great food, friendly staff, and a brilliant relaxed atmosphere. Only thing that lets it down is the tables being a bit crap ( they are wobbly and heavy ) and the tables are very close to each other making the area quite cramped outside. Other than that, love it! Oh and as a side note, pleeeeeease stop charging TWO POUNDS for sauce on the side .. it's really bad practice and comes across as desperate

The best chips! Staff are friendly, prices are fair. Highly recommend supporting this local family business. The food is cooked fresh. Phone up and order for collection or walk in. Cash only. I highly recommend their fried chicken. Honestly the best fried chicken I've ever had. Also without a doubt the cleanest fish and chip shop I've ever been in. They genuinely take pride in everything they do.

Home delivery. Food was terrific, lamb so tender and very tasty. Haven't used since Covid but still as good, if not better. Love it 💯
