Wow....what an incredible night we had, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was good too. It's my new fav place. Book and don't delay. Brilliant food and good price too. I'll be back soon.

Had the best Calzone I've ever eaten here!! Really friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend for quality Italian food and service.

Four of us ate! ,all in all pretty good! Enjoyed service because I had a waitress who bit back,which I like ! Weather was great which helped. Pricing was entertaining but that seems to be the norm now!

This is not the first time we have visited but on this occasion I can only rate 4 stars. Our food was beautiful, great portion sizes and absolutely delicious. However, on this visit the server received was not what we had experienced on previous visits and was quite disappointing. We had a long wait for a member of staff to pass to ask for simple things like salt for fries. We also weren't offered cheese or black pepper for our pasta, which other tables were. We were also asked if we'd like water, this never appeared and again to ask for another drink took a long time, then another 20 minutes before the drink arrived. Such a shame as the experience would have been just as great as it had always been had the staff been more polite and attentive.

We'd walked from Whitstable to Faversham on a hot day, so our meal was incredibly welcome. We sat outside and really enjoyed the view. Appreciated that you can order house wine by the carafe - as this was the ideal quantity for a late lunch. I had the Insalata Napoli (dried bread, tuna, olives, tomatoes) which was so delicious I've made it at home a few times since.

Lovely food, good service , we were seated in what appeared to be the staff canteen. No atmosphere in the place.

Very nice Italian restaurant nestled on the Creek front in Faversham. Authentic Italian flavours and style. Pasta and risotto dishes very tasty. The Italian limonata 'lemonade' is refreshing. Service could be a little more professional as we were brought the main course during the starter, though I would suggest this is due to bad management training than staff incompetence. This however does not detract from the exquisite flavours of our food. Recommend a visit here. A very pleasant way to spend an evening without an exhorbitant bill.

We went here yesterday for the first time with family and were so impressed by the service and food. Lovely atmosphere and location. Staff were so accommodating to our young children and all our dishes were great! Even the kids menu was very good. Definitely will be back!

Nice meal friendly staff great selection of wines. Update.. been several times since the first post,,this visit poor staffing waited 25 mins for drinks then 35 mins after for mains to come out. Food is still at a good standard just poor staffing.

Always been one of my favourites, but have been a few times recently and is shockingly understaffed. Waiting 30 minutes for drinks, asking several times for water. Little attention paid to guests. Would hesitate to go again

Excellent all round, amazing delicious food, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable waiting staff, great location, and great selection on food menu and the wine menu. Lots of things on the menu I fancied. Went with Pizza and it was one of the best I had tasted. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Italian restaurant on the creek of Faversham. Great food, drink, and atmosphere.

Great place to sit out after a town walk in the early evening sunshine with an Italian beer and lovely food. Great service despite being pretty busy. We'll return but are unlikely to capture the ambience of this occasion.

I was there last night, the bride and groom brought us along so we all could have a lovely time, as I was photographing there wedding it was so lovely being have a lovely meal with them, the staff were great, so kind and friendly for us all, nothing was a trouble for them, we all had a great time, I would definitely recommend it to all my wedding couples!

Updating my review after another recent visit, this place is just such a gem in the town. The quality of the food continues to be really high, seafood specials are particularly fabulous. It's pretty much always busy here, testament to the great food, but the super service from friendly staff continues despite the packed tables. With lovely views by the creek, what more could you ask for from a restaurant. A little piece of heaven...

We wanted a nice Italian meal and was delighted to find this restaurant. It is not your average Italian with lasagne or spaghetti bolognaise. It is a more adventurous menu and a little more fine dining. The restaurant is set next to the estuary that when we arrived was at low tide, but we started to see it come in by the time we were finishing. We both had the Salmon E Gamberetti for starters, baby prawns in a marie rose sauce with smoked salmon on a bed of rocket and they did not skimp on the smoked salmon at all. For mains, we had Fusilli Aumm Aumm, which I swapped for penne pasta and the Zuppa Di Pesce. Both were absolutely delicious and very filling. We hope to visit again to try some of the other dishes that all looked very nice indeed and will definitely be recommending to family if they are in the area.

Highly recommend this restaurant - it is one of the best (if not the best) that Faversham has to offer. The service is both friendly & expert (the staff really know their menu & winelist) and the restaurant itself is cosy and friendly inside, and fresh and sunny outside with a relaxing view over the creek. The food at Posillipo is of an exceptionally good standard with real an Italian home cooking vibe.

Absolutely wonderful environment right next to the creek at sunset. The menu had so many delightful options it was hard to choose. The food was spectacular, the staff very attentive and courteous. We will be regulars.

Lovely food brilliant setting, however service was abit hit and miss, too many tables for staff to handle, our meal got completely missed, we had to keep calling staff. No complaints on the food.

The food was very good. So bravo to the chef! There was one person that was jovial and friendly and he was at the entrance. The lady that took the order was abrupt and cold 🥶 (Carmela) and another younger waitress did not smile at all. Generally speaking I was not impressed by the warmth of the staff yet they had audacity to charge a tip on my bill.

It's already the second time I've had dinner in this place and it's delicious, excellent Italian cuisine! Nice place and impeccable service. Highly recommended, I will definitely return.

Loved the seafood risotto as my partner loved her seafood linguine, very authentic and great food.

Me my mum and aunty loved the setting and appreciated front of house changing our table so we could sit by a window. Great cocktails and delicious food will definitely be returning, many thanks.

I loved this place, very nice vibe and lovely and helpful staff. It has very good and delicious authentic Italian food and a big variety of options. The prices are very reasonable and there are parking spots for cars. I highly recommend this place for delicious Italian cuisine lovers.

Always an amazing experience at Posillipo in Faversham!

We had a group for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere service and food was excellent

Sadly a poor experience as we waited over an hour and a half to get our table which was booked. We were not the only tables affected. I appreciate that they had staffing level issues but can't believe all the customers had booked, manager should have turned walk ups away. Could have been a great night but sadly not so. Would I go back, yes if it was managed properly.

Eaten here for past 8/9 years cannot fault it recently visited ordered strascinati salsiccia my go to dish every time unfortunately my partner had the salmon with prawns and green beans that made her very unwell ended up in hospital for 3 days would always recommend this restaurant to anyone just unfortunately the first time we had a bad meal that left partner unwell

Absolutely stunning place and service was amazing unfortunately I had a seafood dish which then a few hours after made me severely ill which is still going on 5 days later. Very disappointed

Really busy restaurant which is good to see doing so well. First time here after so many people saying how good it was. Great atmosphere and the food in top notch. 👌 Parking is very limited, we had to park round the corner but was only a 5 minute walk.

Have eaten there before and was really nice, but went Saturday night and waited well over a hour for starter and then 2 of the main meals where inedible, in total we was there over 3 hours and all that was taken off the bill was the meals that weren’t eaten, will not be spending any money in there again unless they sort the kitchen out because they have a major issues in there and other people around us where having issues. But that being said staff couldn’t of apologised more.

Where do I start. Excellent food at a reasonable price. However as well as the great food there was attention to detail. I saw who I assumed to be the owner chatting with his staff and checking the service on all tables was smooth. I saw one person add 2 glasses to a tray to a customer as it lacked the means to drink. My friend dropped a spoon on the floor and immediately a staff member was there with a replacement. This level of service is rare nowadays but so nice to see people taking pride in delivery. Would come again.

So disappointed after a family birthday meal on Sunday. Starters did not all come out at the same time, had to wait ages and ask again for a bottle of red wine we had ordered. Did not offer pepper or Parmesan cheese again had to ask. Overall the service was poor - the only thing that felt nice was the setting and sitting outside.

Excellent will definitely go again

My friend and I regularly meet up here now for dinner. The food, location and service are fantastic. We've tried the chicken dishes, pasta dishes and pizza's and they've all been so tasty. We often don't have room but we try to squeeze in a dessert. Their almond cookie is amazing. I'm more of a savory person but always go for this as it's not overly sweet.

Great little spot. Had the ribeye, one of the best I’ve had and generous size of 500g, don’t ever remove this from your menu. Will be having a go at their tomahawk on next visit.

Authentic italian. Specially the tiramisu

Lovely restaurant located near the creek in Faversham. We visited as a group for a 50th birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. All the food was made to a high standard and a great selection of wines. Staff were excellent and patient with my questions about the food and drink from some of our party. I had the salmon and King prawn dish, and it was fresh and full of favour. The pizzas looked incredible, as did the pasta dishes. We visited many times in the past, and it never fails to impress.

A perfect place for a perfect lunch

This was our second visit to Posillipo, we were not disappointed, our visit being as good as the first time. The Restaurant was busy, a good sign these days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They serve the best Bruschetta in the country, absolutely amazing. The Signature Linguine dish is amazing, plenty of delicious seafood and flavour. They took out the mussels from the Risotto Alla Pescatori, the dish was also full of seafood and delicious. Service was the right pace, allowed us to enjoy the surroundings, the food and wine. Worth a visit if you enjoy the best Italian food and we will be back next time are we in or near Faversham.

Food was first class, effort to keep customers happy was good. More expensive than I’d normally pay, but was value for money. Was just the thing for a celebration.

We ate here 3 times in 3 days - one evening meal and two lunches - so that probably says it all! Delicious food , plentiful and hot, with a good vegan menu. Very friendly service, reasonably priced and pretty location by the creek. What’s not to like?! Apologies we forgot to ask our server’s name but she was very good.

All good. If you like your Italian food with an authentic edge then this is the place to go. The fact that I can't do dairy and my wife can't do gluten wasn't a problem and my calzone with vegan cheese was actually really tasty -- not compromised at all.

Disappointed to be honest, not enough staff for the amount of tables. Arrived made to wait by rude lady at front of desk. Shown to an undressed table while they cleaned and dressed table with us sat at it, despite several tables for two around us that were free and ready. The food came out incorrectly and was Luke warm, Good points huge menu, lots of choice great wine list. Sea bass looked incredible we didn’t have sea bass but wish we had… Veal was Very average !! Waitresses were lovely.

Simply Great Food...! I have visited this place on 4 occasions with different people and they all have loved their dishes. Everything on the Menu is great down to the chips..,😅. For me the Pizza in particular is my must have and I'm vegetarian and they are accomodating to making changes for dietary requirements. And also have a vegan menu. Only downside is they haven't any beer on tap🙄

Third time eating there and on all occasions the food has been tasty. The waitress was really helpful and assisted me to choose the right dish. Definitely recommend

My husband and I returned to this charming Italian Restaurant on 29th December 2023, after not having been since 2022 as we live in Berkshire and come to the Faversham area infrequently. The food was as delicious as ever with a wide-ranging, excellent menu that offered dishes which would appeal to and cater for all tastes. My Prosciutto e Mozzarella was a large portion and made a great starter with Pappardelle al vitello as my mains - the latter was sublime! My husband's Linguine Posillipo (that included clams, mussels and incredibly large King prawns) that he had as a main course was, according to him, delicious as was his starter of Bruschetta Mediterranea which looked fresh, vibrant and appetising. Staff were professional and welcoming, despite the restaurant being incredibly busy. There is a good wine list. We will be back, hopefully within the next 6 months!

Welcoming staff, great food and portion sizes! The staff are on the ball, service is quick but you don’t feel rushed. The only downside is the lack of parking. Other than that I’d highly recommend it here :)

So often these days I look forward to eating out and find the whole experience (including the food) underwhelming. Not Popsillipo though: good food, good vibe, good service.

Been many times bur have never been blown away with the food, but last visit was excellent. Maybe a new chef?

Love this place, we always enjoy our food and the great service, especially from Mark such a great Waiter. Mark is lovely man who always makes us feel welcome and treats our grandson 3yr old Felix like a little prince!

I am torn with this review. Some aspects of the restaurant are great, some not so much. It's in a lovely position and the atmosphere is good. The restaurant is well presented and the service from the staff is excellent especially on a very busy day. However, the tables are crammed in which not only make it difficult to navigate without bumping into people but also means you are very close to your neighbours. Certainly no privacy. Prices are fair and an automatic 10% service charge is added. We had 4 dishes and 3 sides. 2 dishes were good, 1 ok (too salty) and 1 not good at all. The Posillipo pizza has shellfish which had been added before going in the oven which meant the shells crumbled as you are your meal. Not good, mouthfuls of crunch. I would have raised the issue but the staff were mega busy so I didn't want to cause a problem. Rather a shame.

Fantastic resturant, superb food and the staff wonderfull. We are from coventry but always come here when visiting my sister in Boughton. Such a lovely atmosphere, every one at ease and chatty.

Warm and welcoming. Staff were attentive. Portions were massive and we were very full from just starter and main. Only issue was the seating arrangement with staff running back and forth behind me and I felt a bit squished. Would come again and recommend!
