Few places I take the time to post a review but this is one of them!! I stumbled across this place on a Wednesday afternoon on a work trip. The food was absolutely fantastic in particular the steak sandwich. It was recommended by Louis and Georgina which I must add went above and beyond on the service, an absolute asset to the pub!! I will be definitely be back.

Despite having had really good service here on a number of times before we were really disappointed this time. Food was good and staff friendly as usual but service was awful. Had to wait for nearly 45 mins for our main course (no starters ordered) and then we finished and no one came over. We decided not to have dessert as didn’t know how long we would be waiting so managed to catch eye of a guy and then had to wait ages for our coffee. Not sure what went wrong that day Tues 3rd September but we will think twice about going again in the future 😔

As part of my birthday treat of visiting nearby Hever Castle, we booked to stay at The Greyhound at Hever restaurant with rooms for the night (September 2024). It’s a delightful little place, with just five bedrooms, a few minutes drive from Hever Castle and well placed for exploring this lovely part of Kent. Our room, number four, was a ground floor room that opened onto the garden where we sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee whilst listening to the sound of birds singing in the trees. The room had everything we needed for an overnight stay including the most important things - a comfortable bed and a very good shower. We ate dinner in the intimate restaurant where the tables were well spaced so we didn’t feel cramped or overheard by nearby diners. The food that we chose was delicious and reasonably priced, as was the wine list. The owner was friendly and welcoming and we felt at ease both at dinner and again at breakfast. Breakfast was another very good meal with a good range of choices. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and if we return to that part of Kent again we’d definitely return to The Greyhound.

Yes I discovered that this pub is part of a chain where they all have the same menu and wines! Saying this…this is a nice cosy place near Seven Oaks with also some traditional English dishes (we enjoyed either the fish and chips and the pie!) and more modern offerings. Service is good, food is good the Chablis was cold and…it was raining outside!!!! Perfect for a grey day.

Went into the Halfway house this evening and was greeted by 3 friendly staff members. Had a good chat and they looked after me. A* service, would definitely recommend popping into this pub.

Cannot fault this place at all. The service was fantastic and having previously worked in hospitality I know how hard it is to get quality waiting staff to deliver spot on service. Tonight was fabulous and the young blonde girl ( didn't get her name) went above and beyond. The only disappointment was the ultimate choc brownie, was very excited having been on a diet for 6 months, and it was poss the worst I've had, dry and burnt in areas and def not gooey but I didn't moan as the service was so good and put it down to maybe just a dodgy one.

The pub is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the Sunday roast was a disappointment after being recommended. Roast potatoes were so hard like golf balls the Yorkshires were the same ... Chicken portion is tiny considering how much it costs. Pudding for one of us had to be sent back. Won't be returning sorry.

8 of us went to the King's Arms for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's 40th. We were in the Library, which was a perfect size and allowed us to put up some decorations. The afternoon tea itself was really good value for money at £17.95 per head - a good variety of sandwiches inc vegetarian, great cakes and the most amazing scones with plenty of cream and jam. I must particularly mention Kelly, who was a brilliant help from the moment that we booked and looked after us so well on the day. Faultless. I would highly recommend.

Good pub in a lovely village, staff are nice, a bit understaffed at the bar sometimes, But unfortunately both times we have been in on a Friday evening for a bite too eat, there is a drunk lady with a baby, spoke to some locals who claimed she is always in there drunk, not sure if this is true, But if it is, the staff should not allow this to happen, poor child!!!! Other than that the halloumi is amazing

Friendly pub. Nice size function room, had my son's 21st there. Pool table and darts. Staff could not do enough to help.
