I was served by scarlett and she was very polite and patient very helpful and friendly. She made us feel at ease and would definitely come back and recommend the pub to others. Great service

8 of us went to the King's Arms for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's 40th. We were in the Library, which was a perfect size and allowed us to put up some decorations. The afternoon tea itself was really good value for money at £17.95 per head - a good variety of sandwiches inc vegetarian, great cakes and the most amazing scones with plenty of cream and jam. I must particularly mention Kelly, who was a brilliant help from the moment that we booked and looked after us so well on the day. Faultless. I would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel set in the old town of westerham, a nice bar and restaurant area, staff friendly and happy to help with all your needs, food was good to..hotel could do with a revamp/refresh.

I stayed at this hotel 28/9-1/10. I have to say that having read reviews before going I was a little apprehensive at what I was walking into! However, having arrived at a very late hour I was pleasantly surprised! Due to my own stupidity I arrived at 12.30 on the Saturday evening. I cannot praise Hannah enough. She kept in constant contact with me and my progress and went well above and beyond the norm in staying up so late waiting my arrival. Having made this impressive start to my stay the level of service did not drop during my stay! Nikki, Scarlett and Rose are all to be praised for their level of service and attention. The accommodation was nowhere near the as 'poor' as some of the reviews I had read. Yes the stair carpet is showing signs of wear, these things happen but we have to take into account that it's rated 3⭐. My room was comfy and clean, including the shower room. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, as was the evening meal I had. The hotel overall was clean and tidy, and well presented! I have stayed in many hotels, bed and breakfasts and to be honest I feel this hotel is more of a 4⭐ and the service by all staff 5⭐. I will return here in November of this year and more times beyond that with no hesitancy or apprehension! In fact I would say I am positively looking forward to my return!

Awful single room. For £97.00 shocking tired run down room. Had better cleaner accommodation at Premier Inns. Spent so much money doing outside and neglected the inside. Only good thing was the bed was very comfortable. Would never stay again.

Pub and hotel in Westerham,Kent. I just went in for a drink after visiting a local attraction so cannot comment on the hotel section. A comfortable bar area with mainly padded stools around tables. Two garden areas, one a patio and the other a leaned are which was nice and peaceful. Food is served at lunchtime and again in the evening ( see photos for menu ) You can eat in the bar or the separate restaurant area. There is background music in the bar but it's not intrusive As well as the usual pub drinks it's also possible to get tea and coffees. I enjoyed a nice mocha. The bar staff were both friendly. There is a paid car park to the rear. It's an old building and has nice character. There is free WiFi.

Lovely place in Westerham, bit difficult to park if you arrive about 5pm as their car park is the cheapest pay to park car park, that said the reception is good , the staff friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant, Whitby scampi and chips and the food was excellent, very good and efficient service too. Rooms are a good size some of the stairs carpets are a little worn but very clean.

Nice pub, menu looked really nice. 3 of us had the caesar salad, lots of lettuce and hidden groups of cheese and pea shoots. Had to ask for the dressing and the croutons were so over done that you could hardly eat them without the possibility of breaking a tooth. Our other friend had crispy chicken in a basket, loads if iver cooked batter on it and not much chicken and he asked for the Kiev sauce and got something else completely. Considering it was lunchtime it wasn't very busy, wonder if this was a reflection on the standard of food delivered

I stayed here for a couple of nights on a flying visit to see friends. A friendly welcome from Hannah and Anthony, as well as the other staff (breakfast and housekeeping) who were equally welcoming. The breakfasts were really good but, as I was out and about, I didn't eat here later in the day, although a visit to a local Italian restaurant was excellent. Comfortable accommodation and everything was just as I'd expect in an 18th century hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to go back another time. Thank you :-)

I have been to the kings arms for dinner a number of times now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits. The food has always been really tasty, especially the pork belly, the lamb and the linguine…delicious! Food comes within 10 or so mins of ordering, the friendly stuff are always attentive to your needs. Nice relaxed atmosphere, just what I was expecting from a local pub/restaurant.

Popped in to the Kings Arms while on a walk round Westerham with my other half, decided to grab a spot of lunch and was pleasantly surprised. An overall disappointing experience. The room was falling apart with the ceiling peeling off in the bathroom and a large moth eaten hole in the carpet in the corner. That plus the fact that the main light did not work and very limited toiletries on offer made me feel a bit ripped off given the price we paid.

We tried the kings arms as we had heard good things about it. The food was excellent. I had the pork belly and it was fantastic. The service was brilliant we will be back

Myself and my family came in on the weekend starting the 19th April and The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. Hands down, some of the best food I've had recently, I must say the food has rapidly improved since I visited last, myself and my family will most definitely be returning soon!!

Parking is tight ..they have sold their soul, so a 17 bedroom hotel does not offer enough parking.. as any one can park and pay in what's left of their limited space.. probably was ok 30years ago but brewery needed to monetise a couple of square yards. The little people must be controlled and charged and regulated...place looks dead on its feet. At noon the staff already looked tired and "whatever" mode. They don't do or care about mystery shoppers. The walls had filled visible rawlplug holes but not painted over. Stairway (to heaven) for guest rooms had a revoltingly worn and badly taped carpet. As we departed on our left, going out the front door an acro stand rapped in yellow and black tape was there to support the front masonry. Sorry but this is what we observed.

Arguably the coldest and most unwelcoming pub I’ve ever had the displeasure of visiting. A group of us swung by on a Saturday afternoon to have some drinks and food - and it felt like we had wandered into a scene from ‘Inbred’. Cold stares from everyone in the room and the girl at the bar visibly sighed at having to serve us and could hardly pull herself away from her conversation. Just a horrid & very common atmosphere in general (clearly a true working locals pub) but the one star is for the young blonde waitress who served us food - she was lovely. Please don’t waste your time here - The George is much better and there is a lovely Italian restaurant in town too.

My husband and myself and small grandson met up with family for Sunday lunch. We all had the roast which was cooked to perfection. The meat was cooked just right the vegetables were fresh and the service was perfect. Our thanks go to the chefs and waiting staff for making our visit enjoyable and comfortable. In these days of people moaning, we thought it would be nice to show our appreciation for a wonderful meal. We hope to see you again when we travel down from chichester for a family get together.

Il locale è dotato sia di sala interna che di aree esterne, attrezzate con tavolini ed ombrelloni da poter sfruttare nelle belle giornate di sole. Si tratta del tipico pub all’inglese, con tavoli, sedie e sbagelli alti in legno, in cui gli abitanti del posto si ritrovano per scambiare quattro chiacchiere bevendo una birra. Noi abbiamo deciso di pranzare, ordinando: 2 Sirloin accompagnate da una salsa al pepe nero, patate fritte, anelli di cipolla fritti, pomodoro e verdura. Inoltre abbiamo ordinato anche una birra Amstel ed una Cider. Carne buona, soprattutto se ricoperta con la salsa al pepe nero. Ottima anche la birra cider! Prezzi nella media locale.

The place has disgusting toilets, the worst Sunday lunch ever and because I mada comment about the Chinese Communists owning Greene King in a written complaint I was barred in 2021! The girlfriend of the manager told lies about me and made a scene in the bar and tried to call the police on me which made her look foolish! A year later the manager was sacked and I was invited by staff back. But the ex manager's girlfriend was in the bar today and so I was barred! What does it say about Greene King and The Kings Arms?

Had a last minute multi birthday/baby shower event here. Team were very accommodating, we pre-ordered to make things easier but added things on the day which wasn’t an issue. Lovely conservatory space for a bit more privacy, lots of outdoor space which is nice in the sun! Food sorted a bunch of our hangovers right out!!! Thank You Kelly and Team for looking after us!

Visited for lunch with friends - a mixed party of children and adults - where the food was hit and miss. Service however was good with friendly staff. The patio is nice to seat and relax in and a nice touch of water bowl for dogs.

Just easier to list this out as sadly there's a lot... *Given one key for room & back door - key got stuck in the back door at 12:50am. *Therefore locked out of room in early hours returning from a wedding. *No-one answered the "emergency out of hours" contact number having tried around 6 times (as all 4 of us tried calling in the time taken to try and remove the key). It rang out and went through to an automated message advising us to go to the website to see the best rates! *Our friends room key opened OUR ROOM!!! (Rooms 6 & 12) *Wife hardly slept worring anyone could access room. *Disturbed soon after being in our room earlier that day by staff not knowing we were there and same again in the morning - Luckily both times we were fully dressed and was awake in the morning! *Car park was also full with no allocated spaces for hotel guests despite staff saying spaces on the right handside should be. * Struggled to get hot water to shower so wife had a cold shower - I managed to get some hot water but only by chance as I turned the control dial almost back to the cold which you wouldnt expect would then get hotter quicker than having it fully on hot! It then completely stopped running so I was stood covered in shower gel and had to use cold water from the lower bath tap to splash myself to get it off. Not ideal having a bad neck & back. * A very dated hotel, the bath, sink, taps & toilet were very worn. Carpets almost bare through especially on the stairs. Doors creaking shut, could at least do with some WD40 on them at the top of the stairs. * Extremely over priced at £110 for room only. Friends paid the £130 for Breakfast but we can't recall the Breakfast options warranting the extra £20 for 2 people. Sadly they seem to be cashing in on the location given the Golf Club is near by which was also the site of our friends wedding. The only positives to add were the Staff and the food we had in the bar before all of the above unfolded. As we had been disturbed this morning by a member of Staff, she was clearly surprised that we were in the room so I stuck my head back out the door to ask if everything was ok. There were 2 members of staff by what appears to be a cleaners cupboard and one explained they wasn't aware we were still in the room. Another member of Staff then came along so I explained what happened about the key etc. She said she would raise it with the Manager and when we got downstairs to leave the Manager came straight along to see us and in fairness to her she was very apologetic and advised us that our card had already been fully refunded (which is what we were about to ask for). We were also offered breakfast but declined as we just wanted to get home. Feel for the Staff here as most of this is clearly not their fault but they may take some flack from others for some of this as seen in other reviews we are not alone in most of the same views above. Sadly, we won't be staying here again.

We called in for breakfast, halfway through a very muddy dog walk and deposited rather a lot of mud on the floor and the struts of our chairs. We advised the staff and apologised for making a mess and they couldn't have been nicer or more friendly about it. They were at pains to tell us it was absolutely okay and not to worry. Such a lovely experience and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were great too, and fabulous value.

Just had a fantastic meal here, Luke the chef cooked excellent food. We had prawns, squid, fish cakes and cheesecake…… excellent waiter service too

Went for lunch in the garden and I can't say how impressed i was by the food it was perfectly cooked and plenty of it huge thanks to the chefs John and Jose for making our day really special. We will be back very soon .

We stayed the evening for a wedding nearby. The rooms were large and had tea and coffee. I loved the historic building with the library, and the staff were great. Hannah and Nicole were very attentive and friendly and really made our stay so thank you very much.

Beautiful old hotel/pub/restaurant on the main road through Westerham. Lots of parking, with a separate restaurant or food served at the bar or outside in the large garden or patio. Very tasy food, served with a smile.
