We had a really superb Sunday lunch. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient and the food was excellent. Particular thanks to Paula who worked so hard and was so patient when we changed our minds!

This dish was 🤩 amazing Credit to the chef, I’ve never finished a meal before It’s was the lamb with spring onion mash, green beans and gravy - superb !!! When you get the review please include the name of the chef today Thank you for that food - better than a top class restaurant 👏 Oops forgot the photo, just couldn’t wait to tuck in

Recommended by friends unfortunately the weather was not great so could not eat by the river but the food and service more than made up for it. The head chef (Keith) came through and we spoke to him he was wonderful and can’t wait to come back and enjoy his food again

Fabulous time with friends with good food Three different meals - sausage and mash with gorgeous gravy, the dirty burger and half chicken all good and served by Lucy Three puddings - delicious

Lovely pub, nice food and very friendly staff.

Went on a busy sunny Saturday. Five people and two dogs. Plenty of space and if you eat in the bar area extremely dig friendly.

I just stopped for a pint and a pimms with a friend will definitely stop for a drink next time I'm in the area

We waited nearly 40 minutes for our food. Nice setting and food ok in the end.

The food was nice, enjoyed it sitting outside on a pleasant terrace. Shame about the limited range of ales which are dull and insipid.

As a family we rarely have the opportunity to get together and our choice of The Plough Inn for a unique event proved to be an excellent one. Yes the property does need a bit of attention, but retains character, adding a contemporary feel. The front of house staff were efficient and flexible, accommodating a party somewhat larger than we’d anticipated when the reservation was made. There was a bit of a wait for our meal, but when it did arrive we quickly realised it was well worth the wait - Compliments to the chef(s)! Our chief server today was Olivia who was efficient and polite throughout, helpfully rectifying a mistake we’d made when ordering. We certainly have plans to return, but perhaps not en masse!

Had lunch for the first time at this pub . Food was good although pork belly was a bit small and service a bit slow, a sign of the times for many a pub. The main issue that’s easy to sort out is in the garden area the ground is covered in fag ends. Pub manager, go and have a look in the patio tile grooves and under the tables. Easy to sort. My dog had two fag butts stick to his fur, seriously Food was good though and average priced

Sunday roast, forgot how busy this gets not been since a nipper. Stephanie was a great waitress. Food was top drawer with good portions.

Lovely pub by the river but watch your food folks, my pie was frozen in the middle! No can be checking the temperature of the food, potentially lethal!

Paula was our waitress and she made our family dining experience thoroughly enjoyable. I have several allergies/intolerances and she helped me navigate the allergens easily. Every dish was prepared to perfection, fresh and delicious 🤤

Shambles. My partner had booked a Dining Experience for the two of us to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived we were told that the WiFi was down and no food orders could be taken. How hard would it have been to send a text to those with a booking so we could have made alternative arrangements. This is hospitality 101. Shambles.

Lots of good things about lunch today, but the service wasn't one of them. Very very slow, at every stage.. seemed understaffed but it was the same last time I went 2 years ago. The roast was hit and miss: beef excellent, gravy excellent, pork belly dry somehow, cauliflower cheese was dentures mushy (but tasty), roast potato's meh, but a grand Yorkshire on top. Almost 3 hours for lunch for 4 was a bit long though.

Absolutely appalling!!!! I booked weeks ago for Fathers Day, I advised them upon booking I have a pram because I have a new born baby, we turn up to the Plough only to be told by the manager that our table was upstairs!!!! I explained I’m not hauling my new born baby and pram down a set of stairs and back up again this is why I told them upon booking I had a pram. He then told me he didn’t have any other options apart from sitting us in the (full) bar and to then have to order at the bar rather than table service. We couldn’t sit in the bar due to no tables. So we decided to leave due to their incompetence and lack of ability to accommodate my baby. The manager was completely useless and sarcastic. We even had another restaurant booked which we cancelled and decided to have Father’s Day at The Plough which I highly regret!!! They are NOT family friendly nor willing to even try to be accommodating!!!! Absolutely disgraceful!!!! I DO NOT recommend this restaurant if you are a family as they are unable to accommodate for families upon arrival even after booking weeks in advance. I will never return and I will be advising all family and friends of their incompetence. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!

Great place for a drink and some food. Dog friendly, child friendly, people friendly. Ryan behind the bar was polite, personal and professional. He’s a credit to the staff and M&B. Had a top Father’s Day.

Paula was amazing couldn’t be more helpful.

Been twice now after recommendations, first time there was only one roast dish available on a Sunday after booking, waited nearly an hour for food, although the food was okay once arrived. Second time tuned up and told there was a half hour wait to be seated even though I had booked a table for the time I arrived and advised there would be a further 45 minute wait for food. Choose to leave.

Such a disappointment:had a 30minute wait for our booked table then ordering drinks and food all good after that things started to slip.starters served cold,roast dinner tasteless, frozen roasts,Luke warm and a small wing and leg is what they classed as half a roast chicken.

Our experience on our date night was a really lovely evening we had lovely food on dine and wine menu and our waitress was really good only being leah second night she was very good at her job and I would rate her service 4 stars for a new member of staff

Always enjoy coming for a meal or drink at the plough. On this occasion we had a lovely chocolate bomb dessert with pretty cocktails to finish up our meal. We were served by Lucy, who was very friendly and attentive. We have also been served by Harvey, who was just as polite and attentive!

Visit here twice a year to meet up with my auntie. Never been disappointed by standard of food, availability or service. Reece was our server today. He was very professional and friendly.

Came in with my other half, was greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman named Michael, we dined in the restaurant and it was a lovely experience for myself and my other half we had the wine and dine menu and it was a great deal!! Will definitely come again!!

Went for an early doors beer . The young staff were I’m afraid very wooden for a public job . The beer was poured well short of a pint ! so I asked them to top it up but the ale pump stopped working and no one including the manager did not know how to fix it . Not ideal if running a pub !! Went to the men’s urinals ? They were leaking . As an experience although perfectly placed at Eynsford among the other 3 pubs in area and for price. Will not revisit again ! Appalling!!

I recently visited the Plough Inn during a weekend ride and decided to stop for a quick bite to eat. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered a burger and chips, but after waiting for an hour, my food still hadn't arrived. Frustrated, I eventually had to ask for a refund. To make matters worse, I noticed other customers experiencing similar delays and dissatisfaction. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit.

Not a great experience to be fair . It was a bank holiday Monday evening, so not sure if this had something to do with our experience of this place. The young man who served us really did his best so I can’t take that way from him , I can’t say the same if the young lady who served us . The service only got three stars because, we waited along time for our food only to be served tepid food , so I’m assuming it had been sitting waiting for them to collect for a while . I had a trio of meats roast , the beef was ok but cold , the pork had been reheated after being cooked along time before I eat it, the crackling was superb , the veg were tasty but tepid , the roast potatoes were too soggy and Yorkshire was too old , I’m sure if we had got here mid day the roast would have been ten times better , the broccoli side I ordered was literally cold and the stuffing wrapped in bacon was definitely cooked in the morning and sat there until I ordered it at 7.30pm . My wife’s scallops were tasty but cold as well , of course she had to have the scallops , because everything else she tried to order wasn’t available. If you are going to open in the evening at least change the menu or make sure you have at least 90% of the menu . My son ordered the burger , only for the waiter to return and tell us that they had run out of burgers as well . Definitely not worth the money or revisiting after this experience. Such a shame with the beautiful location it’s blessed with .

So impressed with Sunday lunch, particularly the vegetarian option. The service was pretty good too, considering how full the place was. They were attentive to my allergy and prices are very reasonable. I've lived nearby for years, but never been before ...... now I wish I'd visited sooner!

We had a great visit - our waitress Sharna was excellent, she was very quick and got all our orders out perfectly which was hard when there was ten of us and a baby! Food was excellent, service was really good, had a lovely meal and would recommend people to visit.

Having found us a lovely table outside, the wonderful and humorous Reece introduced himself as our waiter. He immediately told us what was / wasn’t available on the menu and ensured that suitable tailored alternatives could be made for us. He built a great rapport with our 11 year old boy who described him as the best waiter in the world. The food was great, the service quick and faultless. Couldn’t recommend venue and Reece enough
