Very nice pub! The food is very good and displayed well. Decently priced and the look/ feel and atmosphere is what makes it so nice. When the weather is good you could spend a whole afternoon there comfortably. You do have to wait for your food it isn't a quick in and out pub lunch especially if you're in the restaurant on Sunday but worth waiting for.

Certainly one of the most attentive professional waitresses , the way the lady worked the room with grace and flow. It's been a very long time since I've seen a lovely natured kind pretty lady just do her thing. Shame not everyone notices a good thing when they see one. Good luck Lucy Steven

Gorgeous pub right next to a shallow river. Food was fantastic but I was slightly disappointed with the amount of food choices, especially for lunch.

Just had a beautiful lunch out in the sun the service was impeccable from Paula. We had Fish and Chips which were delicious so compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. We love coming to The Plough. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and they are super dog friendly to our pooch Fudge!

Oddly busy today for a quiet Monday in May, we entered and approached the bar person who was friendly enough but when we descended the stairs to the restaurant we were greeted but a flustered lady, who was also polite but made me feel unwelcome as she said in a hurried tone "Have you booked?" I responded "no I didn't think we needed to book to eat on a Monday afternoon!" "Well I will see if I can fit you in" she went off and came back a moment later and explained they only had one small table free in the corner by the window! "Ok" I said "I'll take that" the menu's was vast, suggesting many chilled and pre-prepared items, but we both chose Fillet Steak sandwich with chips! Can't be sure if it really was fillet, but it was passable, I ordered a small glass of pinot and my friend had a pint of Peronni, and some table water (tap) for the table. The food arrived promptly and the restaurant whilst far from full started filling up, I noted as I came in there were signs in the entrance warning people who parked in their car park to enter their registration number to avoid a hefty fine (it appeared that they have sold the rights to park to a third party) I was fortunate to have parked on the verge of the main road, with my Blue Badge! Whilst ordering the lady explained that the kitchen had run out of all the fish but still had lobster tails for the sandwiches! No cod and chips, not that I was hankering after them! I'm assuming they had a very busy weekend! Not the only pub in this pretty little village but one of the best views looking over the babbling brook with its quaint old back horse bridge and ford for tractors 4x4's and coaches taking visitors to Lullingstone Roman Villa just up the road! The total bill came to £41.50 and I added on a 5% tip, as the service to my mind was adequate but not outstanding! As I left I noted the garden (part of the car park) was filling with dog walkers and one person enquired if it was possible to sit outside with their aged mum to avoid them having to make the stairs. It did feel slightly understaffed, and the staff that were there did appear to be rushed off their feet, taking orders and serving behind the bar as well as carrying people to and from tables. I don't think coming as I do from Canterbury I'll be rushing back any time soon.

Sorry but not impressed starters squid more batter than squid .main crispy duck with noodles ,slimy chewy no crispy noodles sent it back ended up with what was chicken and chips ,sweet not to bad ,service ok tho BUT not worth £110 altho that was with glasses of wine , wouldnt go again .

Nice looking pub, plenty of lovely outside space. Food menu is pretty good too. However some of the staff and in particular the managers need some serious training. They lack basic manners and only like telling people about the rules or telling you off.

Extremely disappointing visit to The Plough. Ordered food, after 45mins the waitress returned to our table to say one of the mains was not available. Ordered a replacement main (pizza) and then waited….. side order of fries arrived, but nothing else. Fries average at best. The halloumi burger arrived and then the pizza. In all over 1.5hrs from ordering. Pizza was good. Halloumi burger had been sat around, bun hard etc. waiter hugely apologetic saying it was all his fault (doubtful, poor guy, felt sorry for him), offered complimentary drinks etc. we weren’t the only ones. Big shame as the ambience is really nice! I should add we were seated in the bar area, perhaps the restaurant gets a different experience!

First time for my family and I here and my experience was absolutely incredible, everything was spot on, food was great the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very attentive especially the young lady Shannon who served us nothing was too much trouble she went above and beyond to make us happy, I would very much recommend

Fantastic service throughout and genuine care! Fabulous food! We were always checked upon and made to feel welcome from the very first moments! Well communicated about what was available as well!

We were on a day trip to Eynsford with my daughter and baby grandson and stopped off at the Plough Inn for lunch. We much enjoyed our meal and were very well looked after by the friendly, obliging and highly efficient waitress who looked after us. Strongly recommend.

Was a very nice place! First time in the area and very glad me and my friends chose here to go to. We were served by Shannon at the bar and she was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely made the experience and will come back. Her service was fantastic 🤗 thanks for having us.

Can’t thank the service at the bar enough for their hospitality as someone who suffers with social anxiety, I unfortunately didn’t get her name however she had red hair was understanding, patient and friendly. What more could you ask for on a beautiful sunny day.

Excellent meal with a group of ex colleagues. We were well looked after by Paula who was patient and helpful throughout

Service was careless. We waited 5 minutes at the entrance for someone to check us in and lead us to our table. We were given dirty menus and had to ask if they could be cleaned. We had to ask several times for items we ordered. One drink did not arrive until the end of the main course. There was no friendliness from any of staff, just very bland and disinterested service. At the end a 10% surcharge was added to our bill without our consent. We've been customers since 2015 but will no longer be returning.

Last minute meal out and it didn't disappoint. The service from Kaitlyn was great and really helpful. The food was amazing. Portion sizes were generous. Will definitely be coming back here when next in the area. Amazing.

Very disappointing. I had the humus and roasted vegetable sandwich. The vegetables were nice but couldn't detect any humus; the bread was dry and stale, and the chips were under-cooked.

We eat at the plough inn fairly regularly and this time we ate from the lunch menu. We both chose fishcakes and they were described as containing chorizo. They were quite bland and my first course of squid was just adequate. We like this place and it's setting so we will probably give it one more chance.

Lovely food and great service, only downside was massive group of travellers camped out using pub but they left and pub handled them really well. Shannon was our service and she was fab.

all 3 courses were fantastic, Lucy our server was great too! had a lovely view of the river at the table upstairs. would highly recommend and will be back. roasts were very good, particularly recommend the sticky toffee pudding with rum.

The steak sandwich was very dry and chewy. Almost inedible. Staff were very pleasant and good service. The food was just a bit rough for the price.

My FIRST EVER roast in a restaurant/pub and my gosh wasn’t it just delightful! Absolutely delectable, I started getting full about half way through and was met with disappointment that I might not have room to eat it all! Lucy was also very lovely especially helpful for my friends with dietary requirements. Epic!

We went for a meal and were absolutely mesmerised by the decor and interior of this fine establishment. Never before have I gazed on such a brilliant building near such a breath taking river m. We were here for a friends birthday meal,had a lovely evening, enjoyable food,our server Lucy was such a nice young lady and very patient with us

Was told there was a 30 minute wait for food which was fine, we waited 80 minutes until our food came (they got the order wrong too, and some of the food was cold). The starter came after the mains and the dessert came cold. The majority of the staff didn’t seem bothered, just played it off ‘because we are busy’. Would definitely not return, the wait wouldn’t have been so bad if the food wasn’t wrong and cold.

Visited here with the company. They have an excellent dining room. Can't fault the cuisine, my half roast chicken was done to perfection. The service provided by Lucy & Reece was just right. You have to register the presence of your car in the car park otherwise you get a fine. Don't forget!

Lovely pub with very good food. Best to book ahead if you want to be seated in the restaurant area, but food is served in the pub section too, so impromptu drop ins work. Staff is nice and friendly, and the food is really tasty.

Literally waited 2-2.5 hours for our food! Then it was served barely warm, & would not have been much better hot? If only they had the decency to tell us they were running so behind? We could have just gone elsewhere. We had a Burger king the following day for 1/4 of the price, plus it Inc a drink, & it was absolutely delicious!! Over priced rubbish food, with unacceptable service.

Wonderful Sunday lunch! Beautifully cooked, flavoursome roast lamb special with perfect vegetables and Yorkshires. Delicious! Quick, courteous service from friendly, helpful staff.

A real shame. A potentially very nice English country pub ruined by the chain who own it. No local beers - only ubiquitous dross on keg. One cask beer and that wasn’t even local.

We were seated and served by Reece. He was very polite, helpful and friendly. The food was amazing! I had the king prawn, chorizo and scallop linguine followed by mini lemon tart and coffee. Delicious! Everyone enjoyed themselves!

My husband and I visited on Saturday 9th. I booked online that morning and all times were available. We arrived just before 2:30pm. Table wasn’t quite ready so sat down at 2:45pm. Ordered our food and the menu looked lovely. I chose pork belly with Dauphinoise potatoes and roasted carrots. My husband chose the steak pie with chunky chips and broccoli spears. An HOUR later it arrived! The waitress, who was lovely and rushed off her feet, had chased it up when I asked after over had an hour. When it finally arrived, we did have free drinks to make up for the wait. However the meals were terrible. See photos. The pork was pretty dry, one carrot and a few sliced potatoes. Couldn’t even taste the cheese. The pie was over cooked and dry. We did complain when asked about the meal. More Dauphinoise potatoes and 2 carrots were bought out for me. But by then I had finished my meal anyway. We were hungry! Again the waitress was lovely and made sure we didn’t pay for our meals. We also ordered desserts and unbeknown to us were free too. But would rather have had a decent meal. The indoor restaurant was nicely laid out but needs a good clean looking at the seats. The tables were cleaned but could see the legs were grubby and state of the tables not good in general. The ladies toilets smelt as soon as you walked into them. Empty toilet rolls on floor and stained toilets. No excuse for this. So disappointing.

We came to the Plough for the first time and we were blown away by the incredible food and service that we received by all the staff,especially the lovely Olivia. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

This place always struggles to attract good staff for any period of time. Waiting in line for bar service and empty tables that are supposedly reserved?

I have visited the plough many times across the years. I would say that the customer service was exceptional. The downside was the food. We visited on a Sunday for a special occasion The Sunday roast was at best average. It was lacking flavour and most people had lukewarm meat on their plate. Other meals were OK but not the wow their london prices would suggest (yes, sunny Kent at London prices) Would i recommend? For customer service and location, yes. For food, meh

Attempted to visit this pub, but were told that they were at capacity on a Sunday and we had not booked. This is not an issue, but then receive a parking charge notice for a stay of less than 20 mins while we enquired inside. As we had tried to be customers and meet the parking conditions, I contacted the pub and they were very pleasant and accomodating in resolving this issue quickly.

We came for my birthday meal with our children and we were famished. The food did not disappoint, such great serving sizes for starters and mains. We went for sharing options, a very large pizza garlic bread, the tastiest halloumi fries and a substantial charcuterie board arrived first. They were delicious, in a good amount of waiting time after, a sharing platter roast dinner for hubby and I, a sizable children's roast and an adult roast for our teen. We were stuffed. The waiting staff were so polite and friendly. One nice gentleman even offered to let me have first dibs on the cauliflower cheese, he could see the desperation in my husband's eye!!! Great sense of humour! Thank you for a great birthday.

I went to the plough inn enynsford today with my dad There today I had a very lovely cup of tea which I really enjoyed It was of the best cups of teas I have ever had in the whole wide world Also I had a coconut cake which I also really enjoyed it was of the best coconuts cakes I have ever had in the whole wide world The staff that work there are very kind lovely friendly The service there is very good amazing wonderful I had a very lovely experience there today at the plough inn eynsford This place gets it's very first 5 out of 5 star rating by me Enjoy reading your google review by me Have a lovely rest of your day 5 stars all around
