Lucy served us brilliantly..just popped in for a quick lunch. Theirnburger is the best in the area.we Had a risotto and pork as well. Food was served a bit delayed but didn’t mind as could catch up…

We love coming here as the food is amazing and lovely to come with family friends. Staff here are super polite and nice . Always a pleasure coming here.Lucy was our waitress and was lovely.

Had a fantastic birthday meal. We were spoilt for choice when choosing what dishes we wanted, the whole menu looks amazing. Cocktails were fantastic too! Lucy our server was very attentive, polite and accommodating. We’d definitely recommend coming here for a drink or a special occasion.

What an amazing waitress we had, Lucy was the most attentive one we had ever had. So helpful with food choices. It was our Grandaughter birthday, Lucy made is a wonderful experience 💖 lovely food too.

Reece and his staff continue to provide excellent service . The Plough Inn is a real gem in a superb location. The food is always excellent.

Lovely Sunday lunch worth a visit

While the food was delicious, the overall experience was let down by poor service. The bar manager was abrupt and came across as rude, which set a negative tone for the visit. It took over an hour for our lunch main to arrive. Additionally, several options on the lunch menu were unavailable due to missing deliveries, and no alternative dishes were offered. Unfortunately, the disorganisation overshadowed what could have been a great birthday meal.

This was our first time and we really enjoyed it All employees we encountered were friendly the food was fantastic and they accommodated any changes we asked for no questions asked. We definitely will be returning

It was our first visit this afternoon, and where to start from when we first walked in, the lovely lady showed us to our seats and told us where the facilities were. Paula was our waitress and she was very charming, polite, and friendly our service was first class. The food was out of this world incredibly delicious well presented. Top 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars from us, and we will definitely be coming back soon

I usually like this place however the last time we went was bad. My friend had a nut allergy so they left her food on the side for god knows how long.. our food came out and hers was stone cold. Mine came out and I did not want to tuck in knowing she asked for hers to be reheated. Initially off to an awkward bad start. Mine turned up and I requested extra beef because they said they were out of chicken (I was fine with this hence the extra beef) yet I was given ONE more slice than my daughter’s beef roast? Yet I’d paid double? Then they gave my friend an extra Yorkshire for compensation? My daughters kids meal had a bigger carrot and parsnip than the adults meal so im 28 years old scavenging for my 9 year olds leftovers? Not worth the bread if I’m honest. Also bottle of red wine gets served cold? We all know it should be Luke warm. Gravy’s the best bit, 10/10 gravy tbf. Also the ‘greens’ I had 2 cms of cabbage? Other than that was peas?

My partner and I had our first date here a few years ago and it has since become a regular place to visit for us… never had a bad meal or bad service… highly recommend

The worst roast dinner in Dartford. If you’re happy to pay £20+ for half a carrots and parsnip, 3 anemic potatoes and a plate of peas and 2 slices of meat then this is the place for you. Food arrived cold and bland. Wouldn’t recommend.

We often come to your restaurant, and always enjoy our visit. This time , as always, the food, staff and atmosphere were great. Cosy, friendly and made us feel at ease immediately; very helpful also with our toddler , made sure ro get her food right and provide crayons right away to entertain her. Tristan was our server, and he went above and beyond in his role; we loved having him serve us.

We came here for my mother in law's birthday and booked a 1pm table. All was well, and we were served by a nice waitress. Our main course arrived in a timely manner and was very nice. We then ordered dessert and teas/coffees at the same time. The waitress came over at 2.40pm while we were still drinking our hot drinks and told us that we needed to finish up as they needed the table for the next customers. When we asked how long before we had to vacate the table, the response was 'as soon as' and walked away. We were rather taken aback. She returned and apologised, saying she didn't know there was a time limit and that she had only just been told. Nowhere online when booking was there information saying that we'd only have the table for just over 1.5 hours, and we weren't warned of this either when we arrived. Had we ordered starters, there wouldn't have been enough time for us to have dessert! When we paid, we asked what the timings were, and apparently you have 1.5 hours for 2 people, 2 hours for 4 people and in-between for 3 people. The table of 3 behind us arrived before us and weren't told to leave. Rather disappointed as we wouldn't have booked had we known we'd be rushed off our table for the birthday meal. Having said that, the food was nice and reasonably priced .

Terrible experience, waited 1hr and 15mins for 3 roasts and 2 burgers, never again will step foot into The Plough. Burger just came with chips with no salad and roasts were very dry, I would honestly say you’ll get a better meal at Toby carvery and that should say it all!

My friend and I visited here yesterday, first time , we ordered the butter chicken in a bun, I thought it must be good because it was £20. Waited, 40 minutes, asked the waiter , where was how food his was name was ( Race or Reese ) with a very bad attitude rude, he told me there was no way that I would been waiting 40 minutes. When he returned, he said I have a new chef , chef had to cook chicken burgers again that’s why it was taking so long , when the burgers arrived, they were so so hard, we couldn’t cut them , same waiter , he said, will give you a refund , still with attitude,

Nice food, good ambiance, but quite expensive

The place is very welcoming and so are the staff. The food is good, the desserts are amazing. The service is quite good as well. Eynsford is a lovely place, full of history; there is a Roman villa nearby where you can spot the roman aqueduct if you are heading to Lullingstone Country Park. There are also the remains of a very old castle in Eynsford likely built between 1085 and 1087 AD.

Amazing lamb and wine! The service was very lovely as well! We were served by Lucy tonight.

Recommended by friends unfortunately the weather was not great so could not eat by the river but the food and service more than made up for it. The head chef (Keith) came through and we spoke to him he was wonderful and can’t wait to come back and enjoy his food again

Whoever set their bar prices needs to have their heads examined. £20.50 for a medium Rose' from a bottle thats worth £15 quid RRP. Obscene!

Lovely old fashioned country pub. Quite expensive for food but it was worth it! Food was fantastic, staff was friendly & service was good. Highly recommend. Worth a look!!! P.S Get there has early as possible but gets busy quickly!

Had a mixup today but handled so professionally ,was so impressed well done to the manageress on her attitude couldn't fault how she handled it over and beyond will be back well done to her and her general manager wish other places would follow suit thankyou didn't take you name unfortunately but I'm sure you ll know its you well done

Nice country pub in a picturesque location on the river bank. Popped in for lunch, nice and quiet on arrival and getting a table was no problem. Served by Paula who was great, food was good too.

I was expecting high hopes for this place and my sister and cousin told me about it and they said it was amazing. The atmosphere was calming however, service was very slow and the servicers seemed so clueless like they were lost. I asked for salt and pepper and they took about 10 mins. I ordered some sides and they kept on getting it wrong and took approx. 40 mins to 60mins to arrive which is very bad for side dishes. Example the servicer gave my side which was meant to be mac and cheese according to him, but gave me cheese cauliflower. I had to remind the servicer of my fries so many times and he still forgot until I complained to the check and told him to change my order. The chef was amazing and did it immediately.

The only good thing was the sun. On arrival my friend had already turned but was asked to leave the table as the outside area was reserved, we had booked an outside table. We then got started, the seat flung everywhere as there is no morting on the paving slabs so you fall down the middle. The QR code kept kicking us out so we ended up going inside as the Waiter didn't want to serve us. The bar lady was good inside and new her drinks. When the food came out the peas were cold like they just be taken out the freezer. The fish well I mean batter hardly any fish. The waiter to forever to bring cutlery let alone sauces. We then ordered some desserts which one was not what we ordered. We then ordered some drinks only two of the three came out. When we asked about the other the waiter said I will go get that for you. He never did. A nice waitress we then asked 10min later then got our drink. Once we were done we only had the dessert left to pay for so we asked for the bill. 15mins went by. The manager then came out and told us that we will have to move soon as a new reservation was coming. We informed we had all ready asked for the bill. It came across like he didn't care. We then got up after a further 10mins to go pay no one wanted out money I was about to leave because it was taking too long when the manager came through asking if we would like to pay. Didn't even ask how the food or service was. He seemed very stressed. Think he may need to get some new staff. Ie cheaf and waiter. The waitresses were bang on I felt sorry for them carrying the lads.

We really enjoyed the Plough Inn. The food was delicious, and the pub is set in a lovely setting by the Ford. The service was excellent. Highly recommend.

After a nice walk bought two drinks sat in their garden area. Served at table no money taken so when I wanted to leave went to bar to pay for drinks and waitress said wait one minute she never came back so then barman checked my bill for our table could not find anything on system. Told him what had been ordered and then paid. This was friday lunchtime I hope they don't lose money this way..Have been here before and eaten and food has been good

It's a lovely pub in a beautiful village. I went inside and grabbed a menu but left without ordering, I'm afraid £20 ish for a burger is too expensive and everything on the menu was above the average price. I can't really speak for the service as I didn't stay.

Great food and easy going services. We sat at the bar area but the seats were comfortable. Would definitely stop by again.

Lovely location, friendly staff, decent food but too many issues for us to bother coming back. We waited around an hour for our food order to come out, and that was after our waitress asked "if we wanted anything else" as if she thought we'd had our main. Fish and chips were decent, my wife's chips were cold. Generally the service was slow to the point of irritation, and we were in no rush at all. We decided against ordering desert and coffee because we could see it would likely take another hour. I imagine the owner would be frustrated that guests willing to purchase more left without paying due to slow service. Aside from this the toilets were disgusting, one cubicle had no toilet paper and no lock, the other was soaked in urine, all over the seat and floor. The toilet roll holder was broken. For a restaurant which is so busy and clearly making decent money, I would expect them to have half decent toilet facilities and to inspect them regularly. These issues are very easy to fix so hopefully the owners will take note, could be a wonderful pub!

Only had drinks in the bar area, comfortable chairs in a lounge type of area, could of stayed all day.

Awful experience. Starter was superb 4 star restaurant quality however the main course which took an hour to appear was burnt in the outside and lukewarm in the middle. Added to which there were travelers on horses riding up and down the car park shouting. The toilets were unclean and very messy. I will not be going back .

Big up Emma she was an amazing waitress brought the vibes she’s a legend the plough inn won’t know what to do without her. Exceptional service love her and food was good but Emma was star of the show 🕺🏼

The food and Drink were lovely. So we're the staff. We were served by Paula. Lovely lady and looked after us very well.

We were somewhat underwhelmed, having heard good things. The service was very slow. We needed a few minutes to look over the drinks menu. It took the server 10-15 minutes to come back for the order and only once we called them over. The meal was OK but a steak was done rare instead of medium rare and the lamb well done rather then medium- rare. Plates took 15 or so minutes to be cleared although it took a minute to return woth the bill. Overall disappointing.

We thought we would go here for a spot of Sunday dinner as we was passing the area.. When we went in the atmosphere was kind of dead though…But staff was nice and friendly however it wasn’t table service.… When the food came, the beef was dry and tough. Hardly any veg ( 2 roasties max! With no carrots, just a bit of kale and peas.)definitely wasn’t worth the price.. To add. The toilets were an absolute mess! Real nasty!

All of the staff were lovely, particularly Paula who served us. We came for my Grandma’s 88th birthday and they looked after us brilliantly. We really enjoyed the food too.

Came for lunch. Lovely place. Fantastic location, plenty of parking, great food, EXCELLENT and friendly service, good prices, my favourite drink, right next to the famous river and ford so you can go paddling after before wandering up to the corner shop.

We were overcharged yesterday and were never even asked if we would like a refund for the extra food. We ordered from the children's menu: 1 portion of chicken strips and 1 pizza. For some reason, they delivered 2 portions of chicken strips. We kindly asked them to take one portion back, as we had not ordered it. They took the plate but never mentioned that we were charged for it. Here’s what we ordered at the bar: Children's Menu: 1 portion of chicken strips 1 portion of Margherita pizza Starters: 1 portion of sticky chicken Main Course: 2 children’s burgers There is no way we should have been charged £89 for the food and drinks. Based on the food and drinks we ordered—2 pints of Asahi and 2 apple juices—the total should have been around £27.85. Always ask for a receipt, as they seem to charge whatever they want. Avoid this place! It was our daughter's birthday, and we were in a good mood, so we never asked for a receipt. They should give it to you automatically. However, we will never visit this place again and do not recommend it.
