The food was terrible i had mushroom risotto which was semi cold and was obviously frozen and reheated my kids had margarita pizza each which was basically pizza dough smeared with tomato purée and virtually no cheese staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful very expensive too had much better food elsewhere for a lot less

Visited the Plough inn over the Christmas period. Not only was I met with impeccable food but impeccable service. Was met by a young waitress (Ava A) who ensured we had a lovely experience and a young lad by the name of Tristan who made our drinks. Safe to say we will be returning in the new year.

Awful experience. The guy serving us was invading our personal space, did not give us the festive menu, serving others and not serving us. he was all over the place. very un professional . We just left without eating. lucky we went around the corner to the Castle and had a great evening as a family and great food. Will be going back there and not to the plough in future.

We had a lovely lunch out at the Plough. There was plenty of choice on the menu and it was well priced, as well as being delicious. The staff were so friendly and a pleasure to experience. We'll certainly be back!

Had a lovely family meal with plenty of choices Our server was really good (and patient) as we ordered off different menu options & the group took a while to get organised There’s a good size car park & it’s easy to find in the middle of the village by the ford crossing Food was delicious

Great atmosphere and very scenic location. Unfortunately, some of the food doesn't match the quality of the ambience. Mac and cheese was bland, although dauphinoise chips were good.

I attended the Plough Inn Eynsford for the 3 course Christmas meal with a friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The only let down was that I was advised by a worker that my chocolate dessert, which was the chocolate bomb would melt once the hot sauce was poured on it. However, this did not happen. Then I was advised by the manager that she shouldn't have told me that as the dessert was never going to melt and instead I was supposed to smash it. However, it was too late by then. Therefore, this was very unfortunate as I wanted to video it. Apart from this misinformation the rest of my Christmas meal and drinks were incredible. Also, my friend and I really appreciated the Christmas card we got from the staff there too. I would love to eat there again and would highly recommend it.

Went for Sunday dinner and staff were extremely welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was lovely and well timed so we didn’t feel rushed. Our server Reece was a breath of fresh air, so accommodating, helpful and upbeat.

Lovely atmosphere and setting, the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. There was an extensive menu with some very tempting dishes, however I was disappointed with the amount of vegetables that accompanied my turkey, one small slice of carrot, three brussel sprouts and three small roast potatoes.

The food here is delicious, it’s a up market pub restaurant in a lovely quaint village we had views of the beautiful little river from our table on the first floor. Reece our waiter was excellent. Highly recommend

All fur coat & no knickers. Such a shame but we had to return 2 meals due to being overcooked then the replacement was undercooked! Waited over an hour for our food & half of it was returned. Genuinely wanted this to be good but unfortunately it was a shambles with poor service & food. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

The atmosphere is great and I've been looking forward to a visit since moving in the area over the past months. While reviews for your Sunday roast are great, I don't think the food, at least the one we ordered was exceptional. The risotto was half cooked and the steak fillet was extremely small for what it's charged for, however it was very tender. The best part was the dessert, which was good to end an evening to celebrate my birthday.

Stephanie and Ava provided great service, and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend!

Stephanie was a great waitress - she was very understanding that there were certain things I couldn’t eat and went out of her way to make sure the kitchen knew rather than just relying on the automated ordering system. She kept us up to date on our order. Was interested in us and most of all seemed very happy in her work and that made the meal brilliant - Stephanie was very attentive but gave us privacy too - thank you

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast - the children’s roast beef was excellent quality and the chateaubriand roast special was really good. Trimmings excellent. Compliments to Cormac the chef and Paula for the very friendly service.

I hadn’t been here for around 7years but we recently booked for a family of 12 to go around Xmas. Thought we’d try it out before hand. Booked with a pushchair and was sat on the upper floor, no lift! Daughter’s burger was overcooked and dry. Chips must have been quadruple cooked, as they tasted burnt. Ordered my daughter a cookie desserts and half of it didn’t turn up and they didn’t even seem bothered to let us know at ordering it wasn’t available. Told the waitress about the issues, nothing happened. There’s better pubs in the area, with far better food/service. Try the red lion or the castle hotel, if you’re looking to dine.

The bar staff are really good. Very friendly and helpful. Aside from forgetting to bring the dessert we ordered, the pub is faultless. I will go again. Thanks for warming my cognac glass, and I look forward to having a dark and stormy, when they start making them 😄

80th birthday in private area. The staff were brillant thank you to Paula who really went the extra mile. Buffet option was a great idea catered for all in the group. With 2 little ones in the group having a private space gave them the freedom in a safe space without them impacting on other dinners. I would highly recommend the plough inn. Thank you once again to the staff who looked after the family.

Visited for a 60th birthday celebration. Food and service were fantastic, our waiter Reece was brilliant, he couldn't have been more helpful, and was great fun, he helped to make our celebration even better. Thank you Reece.

Lovely Sunday lunch worth a visit

While the food was delicious, the overall experience was let down by poor service. The bar manager was abrupt and came across as rude, which set a negative tone for the visit. It took over an hour for our lunch main to arrive. Additionally, several options on the lunch menu were unavailable due to missing deliveries, and no alternative dishes were offered. Unfortunately, the disorganisation overshadowed what could have been a great birthday meal.
