Curry night on Monday is well worth a visit, but unlike us do book ahead. The pub very kindly managed to fit us in but given the amount of people enjoying the food there, we were very lucky.
This was a welcome find for my wife and I on the road from Ashford back to Hastings as we'd been seriously looking for somewhere for a coffee. After parking in the large off-road car park we were made to feel very welcome by the two ladies in this beautifully presented, neat and clean Cafe/Shop. We took advantage of a promotion whereby you could combine a coffee with a bap for a discount. Both were excellent, and the discount was generous enough to make it very affordable. The shop was packed with an amazing array of fresh farm produce along with other locally produced products. Mercifully for the traveller, there is a toilet on the outside of the cafe.
New to the area from Cheshire!
Chanced upon your Bakery…..,,
what a beautiful find…….. x
Delicious Baps, quality produce, came out armed with loads of lovely things to try and even bought a yummy Home made Coconut Cake😋
Pleasant ladies serving, friendly fellow customers……… looks like we have ‘hit the jackpot’ !!!
Will def be visiting again soon!
Thank you Broad Oak Bakery
This place is fantastic.Had a lovely meal,at a reasonable price. Service was excellent and it's just across the road from the beech,so the views are fantastic if you eat outside.Must highly recommended.
Food was great ate here a twice. Somethings were expensive like scrambled egg on toast which seemed like fried eggs smashed up 🤔 and one slice of toast almost £7. But can't fault the service quick and friendly.
Really warm and welcoming restaurant, I have used Mardi Spice for over 16 years and can honestly say, their food is fantastic, cooked to your liking. Highly recommend them.
Booked to go for Sunday lunch on January 26 th 2025 Absolutely freezing- no heating on . Had an open fire but not lit. Sat with coats on but still not warm enough. I did complain but wasn’t convinced about the excuse of why radiators were not on as my partner is a plumber. Could not understand why the open fire wasn’t on either considering we are in January !
My partner pork was not hot either and roast had too many herbs - we both left food as got cold too quickly . Not cheap either.
I highlighted these problems but the manager didn’t even knock my coke off the bill.
Such a shame as went to support a local pub but
will not ever be going back.
Gemma really looked after us, reserving a table on a busy night, and serving us drinks within the happy hour. They don’t do food but allowed us to bring a takeaway pizza in. Great atmosphere and great pub 😍
The Kings Head in Udimore is a true gem of a pub! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warm, homely atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience.
The food is outstanding—delicious, well-cooked, and full of flavour. Whether you’re stopping by for a hearty meal or just a drink by the fire, you won’t be disappointed. It’s the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy some proper hospitality. Highly recommend!
