This was a welcome find for my wife and I on the road from Ashford back to Hastings as we'd been seriously looking for somewhere for a coffee. After parking in the large off-road car park we were made to feel very welcome by the two ladies in this beautifully presented, neat and clean Cafe/Shop. We took advantage of a promotion whereby you could combine a coffee with a bap for a discount. Both were excellent, and the discount was generous enough to make it very affordable. The shop was packed with an amazing array of fresh farm produce along with other locally produced products. Mercifully for the traveller, there is a toilet on the outside of the cafe.

While out driving, we called in for a coffee. This little cafe is part of the Salts Farm Shop complex. There is seating both inside and outside. There is also quite a large car park outside. You go into the shop, order what you want to eat and drink and pay at the till at the entrance to the shop. Your food and drink is then brought to your table by the very friendly staff. Our coffee was very good. I have no doubt we will be back when we are next in the area.

We used to have great breakfasts in the past at this location but we were both very much disappointed by paying 40 pounds for being served old bread under our choice of breakfast. First it was like it had been toasted several times at an earlier time that day and tasted like old toast and was extremely hard, thin and a very small slice of toast, that was not cuttable or biteable. When I asked to change it, I received then a slice of old, dry untoasted bread in a place that sells fresh bread every day. It felt like the avocado had shrunk a lot and the egg was cold as it came back within minutes. My husband had the same, old, dry bread under his choice of breakfast. The small amount of ginger and turmeric shot, was mixed with too much water too. The prices for eating out in general have been shooting up enormously in England in the last two years, however, sadly to say, the quality and service in some places have been going down. There seem to be a lack of awareness amongst the owners, chefs and services, that some people also have to work a lot to be able to have the luxury, which it is becoming more and more, to eat out and that they don't want to spend their money on badly prepared or bad quality of food for high prices.

Three night stay. Staff were very helpful and accommodating but the ‘luxury’ room was a let down. VERY small bathroom, unfinished tiling and floor and cold. Dust everywhere, dead flies and cobwebs in glazing, bins not emptied during entire stay. Very limited toiletries and tea/coffee tray. Old pillows without protectors. The breakfast was good but every item had to be ordered individually, nothing laid out for us to help ourselves to and there were no pastries or cereals

The perfect venue for a private party. Easy access by train or car, gorgeous garden, well stocked bar, first class service with a smile, the best wood fired pizza outside of Italy! Nothing too much trouble for Paul and his team (= family) who are just brilliant hosts.

The team are very friendly and I love service with a smile. The food has gone through many changes and trials but now is really hitting the mark. Lovely food lovely staff. Such a great turn around since the New Inn has been reborn.
