This was a welcome find for my wife and I on the road from Ashford back to Hastings as we'd been seriously looking for somewhere for a coffee. After parking in the large off-road car park we were made to feel very welcome by the two ladies in this beautifully presented, neat and clean Cafe/Shop. We took advantage of a promotion whereby you could combine a coffee with a bap for a discount. Both were excellent, and the discount was generous enough to make it very affordable. The shop was packed with an amazing array of fresh farm produce along with other locally produced products. Mercifully for the traveller, there is a toilet on the outside of the cafe.

While out driving, we called in for a coffee. This little cafe is part of the Salts Farm Shop complex. There is seating both inside and outside. There is also quite a large car park outside. You go into the shop, order what you want to eat and drink and pay at the till at the entrance to the shop. Your food and drink is then brought to your table by the very friendly staff. Our coffee was very good. I have no doubt we will be back when we are next in the area.

Late lunch, early dinner. Roast was excellent with crispy roast potatoes, large Yorkshires and a delicious selection of veg. Real gravy on the side. Warm Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and cream was delicious. 🤤 Busy so staff were pushed but they were friendly and helpful. Recommended

My husband and I ate here twice in the space of a few days. Service was friendly and welcoming both times. On the first visit, our nachos and egg on toast were very nice. There’s a large variety of milkshakes to choose from - our White Twix and Bubblegum choices were amazing! Would love to try the iced cinnamon roll flavour. As we’d seen good reviews online, we booked a vegetarian afternoon tea. This consisted of sandwiches, quiche, mini cakes, scones and a surprise mini cheesecake towards the end. All of the sandwiches were served on seeded bread, which was an issue as I don’t eat this. Usually with afternoon tea, sandwiches come on at least two varieties of bread e.g white bread and seeded bread, so there’s something for everyone. I feel that when we booked the afternoon tea, the coffee shop should have informed us they usually make the sandwiches on seeded bread, or asked for our bread preference. With hindsight, I will specify with future afternoon teas which bread I would like to avoid this happening. They did kindly prepare additional sandwiches for me on white bread, at an extra cost. The food all tasted lovely and was very good value for money at £11 per person - we took the cakes away with us as were too full to eat everything we were presented with!

Lovely country Pub, hard to comment on the atmosphere as it was a cold wet afternoon so pretty quiet but we were looked after. Food was lovely and fresh, will be going back in Spring definitely.
