I met a friend here for a catch up, we chose a cream tea, it was ok, bunged on the same plate and not very appealing, a little more care wouldn’t go a miss, it tasted ok, we shared a piece of cake afterwards which was very good. Chairs are uncomfortable and it’s quite stuffy in the conservatory area, I wouldn’t rush back to be honest!

6 of us went for lunch today and we each ordered a plowman and 4 pots of tea, 1 soft drink an 1flat white coffee. We were served the plomans in cake boxes , the cheese was very hard and looked and tasted as if it had been in the sun all the morning. The brown bread although nice was only 3/4 of a slice and 2 of the lunches were given to us without any butter and I had to go and ask for it. Although we were charged for 4 pots of tea all we got were takeaway paper cups with hot water and a teabag in each and another takeaway cup with milk in it. We were not happy with our lunch and will not be returning to Great Park Farm.

Fab goats cheese and walnut salad, the leafy salad was best ever, great variety! I, like most I've spoken to, adore the COURGETTE AND LIME cake, oh my, yummy or what! Been going for years and always sad if it's all gone! Coffee really good. We are regulars been going for years! If one point would like to make to management, please can you make it easier to speak to staff taking your order! The clear plastic sheet is hard to speak through without bending the head at 90° to the open bottom 6 inches! 😆. The prices are not easily viewed at times, but we always enjoy the food and the cakes are gorgeous!

When we first arrived at lunchtime it was quite busy. This was our first time here and we had a look at he menu and I thought the prices were okay if a little bit pricey. There was almost nothing to offer vegetarians or vegans and my friend was therefore disappointed with this. The panini I had didn't have much ham in it and the salad they served it with didn't look fresh. My friend order the hummus salad as that really was the only thing on the menu that they could order! But alas, we were told no more hummus available at 12 noon so he ordered beetroot salad and got three thin slices of beetroot with the bread. The chairs cheap fold up metal ones and not comfortable at all. The one saving grace for my day out here was the vegan ginger cake. I think we were so hungry still from lunch we ordered, we devoured the cake. We expected a nice place but were disappointed.

Third trip here recently. Once for coffee and cake and once for brunch, today for lunch. Squeezed us in to a reservation. Stood for a while as they were busy and we couldn’t see what table we had (no name on it due to later reservation already on table). Friendly staff, great paninis; with coleslaw, crisps and bit of salad. Perfect portion. Good range is soft drinks. Cakes running out by 1.30 sadly. Still loved it. May benefit from some larger tables or square ones to accommodate slightly larger groups?

We came here for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Stood outside waiting to order for 10 minutes. Ordered 2 key lime and courgette slices of cake and 2 coffee's. We sat down and 45 minutes later 2 coffee's arrived luke warm. Then we were told only 1 slice of cake left. Surely they would know this when taking our order. The tables were filthy, most weren't cleared, when they were , nobody could be bothered to wipe them down. The staff are just young kids that don't want to be there. What a shame as the cakes and food have always been very good, and it was not very busy,so no excuses.

I love this place. I visit regularly. But I eat anything but cheese. And they serve everything with cheese. Out of around fifteen dishes thirteen had cheese. Including all four “specials “. I had the choice of ham or tuna sandwich. Except they had run out of ham- I wonder why? Oh or hot tomato and basil soup when it was 39 outside. Someone there clearly loves the stuff but please think of those of us who dont.

A very good array of home made cakes and nice fresh tea and coffee ( real tea leaves not bags!). There is a choice if outside and indoor seating. Outside is amongst the nursery plants which is novel and indoors was in a lean to . The furniture is best described as shabby sheik. Also surrounded by pot plants of different heights. Service was good . The nursery was small but interesting plants and a farm shop attached was very expensive we thought.

I love visiting Great Park farm and the cafe , but unfortunately not enough care was given on our last visit with the coffee. As a coeliac and dairy free, I asked for almond milk. I was unknowingly served an oat milk late which I quickly realised was not the almond milk I ordered. Oat milk is not suitable for a gluten free diet and as a coeliac I cannot tolerate it. I did advise the young staff that they cannot substitute dairy free milks and in this instance they had no reason to do so as they then brought me out an almond milk. Staff need to be properly trained for dietary requirements.

Great Park Farm is a gem of a nursery – the plants are always in beautiful condition, everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. Recently their website purchasing had a problem and they (Tom) immediately sorted out my order personally to ensure that I got the plants I wanted. They really care and it shows. Great quality veg and fruit in the shop with lots of home-made goodies (cheese scones like no other!) and you will be tempted by the café cakes. Just a lovely place to visit and buy excellent an excellent range of food and plants. The fresh fruit & veg is great quality and, as none of it is pre-wrapped in plastic packaging, it's an almost zero waste purchase. You also only buy as much as you need, not as much as the supermarket thinks you need. It's a better, ethical and local place to shop. Oh, and the staff are great too! Highly recommended.

Now that Covid lockdown is relaxing, I feel it is time to say thank you to this amazing team. Together with our local fish shop, we have lived very healthily. The highlights of their online shop is the excellent fruit and veg. The strawberries and raspberries and pears in particular last well. The vacuum packed gammon and the bacon is very good. No excess water comes out of the bacon. For a very special treat, the lime and courgette cake is stunningly good and stays moist for days. They have rapidly adapted to becoming Covid safe. They deserve their obvious success. They have had an amazing number of orders but remain calm and patient all the time!
