The best restaurants serving Indian food in Rother South East

As a family we have been getting food from spice cottage for the last 3 years every Sunday and never once have we been disappointed. Food is excellent and staff are friendly. No complaints at all, I highly recommend trying it.

We had a table for eight at 7.30 pm 31st December 24 My first visit to this establishment .We had some drinks brought to our table at 7.50 the second order for drinks was forgotten. It was busy and they were clearly under staffed they were late taking our order. They brought our plates and forgot two, they then arrived stone cold and had to be sent back only to be brought back Luke warm. Our food arrived at 9.15 my Nan bread barely warm. My wife's food was over cooked, mine was ok ish. One of the waiters was abrupt and quite contemptuous. The service was appalling and they didn't seem to care much. I won't be going back anytime soon.

This place is a very great halal restaurant with very kind and hospitable staff. I would highly recommend visiting this if you’re ever in the area

I have been eating Indian / Bangladeshi food for 62 years I am on a golf holiday with friends.As I enjoy spicy dishes I looked on Tripadvisor for recommendations of this restaurant. There were excellent reviews so decided to give it a try. When you arrive the restaurant looks a bit tired from the outside. Don't let this put you off. The greeting we received when we entered was excellent. There was a very varied and extensive menu. I know most Curries start of with the same gravy and other spices added. We started with poppadoms and chutney freshly cooked poppadoms not oily. The four dishes we ordered came .Nice size portions and all really tasty . I ordered Bombay chicken,back in the day it normally was a chicken portion on the bone with a boiled egg and potato. New style is diced chicken. Tasty all the same. I also ordered pashwari nann this was the best nann I have ever tasted. It's a pity I live so far from this restaurant otherwise I would be a regular customer. Would certainly recommend this place for polite pleasant service an excellent food

Another fantastic meal, so fresh and tasty. We had the chicken tikka salad and Graham chicken burger. First time for these dishes, they met expectation though and I can't recommend the burger enough. Not what I would normally order but thought it would make a change.

Really warm and welcoming restaurant, I have used Mardi Spice for over 16 years and can honestly say, their food is fantastic, cooked to your liking. Highly recommend them.

Have eaten here and had takeaways from Little India on multiple occasions now and until yesterday I’d always been relatively happy with my meal. However yesterday we ordered a takeaway for my Mothers birthday and while the main dishes were tasty the naan bread we shared tasted strongly of mould. Its put me off massively unfortunately.

Excellent flavours and value for money

Visiting area. Decided to try this take away. Very nice curry rice and bhaji's. Good value as portion size very good.

Great spot with delicious food and a great variety of options on the menu. I would highly recommend to anyone in Camber and in the ParkDean resorts / caravan area.

Quality of the kebab not good, the “salad” was one slice of cucumber and abit of a lettuce and jalepenos. I like a big load of fresh onion on a kebab. Chips were cold, donner meat not the best. You guys should get a kebab from Spinaci in Handforth, to see how it should be done.

Just eaten the best chicken dhansak I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a few! The wife's chicken biryani was first class too. 10/10
