I have been ordering from here for many many years, but I can honestly say without a doubt I won't be placing anymore orders from here. The quantity and quality not the food has gone downhill. They have obviously changed suppliers for the meat. Ordered two mixed special Donner kebabs from here last night Firstly you used to get a good deal for your money. Lots of dinner meat and other meats on a huge nann bread. Now it comes in a square foil tray on a smaller nann and the meat and salad is spread across the entire nann on the tray, it's just done this way to look as though you are getting more or the same big ones they did before, when in fact is much less, you can also tell this from the weight of it. The meat now is so poor quality. Clearly the Donner meat is not the same as it used to be as is the rest of the food. So folks if your looking for a decent kebab look elsewhere. Rated one star for trying 😡

Came in here today after being recommended. The food is 10/10 and reminds me of proper Indian/Bengali cuisine on top of that the staff were all really friendly. Would recommend!

Really poor quality food here. Chicken was no where near fresh and it all looked to have been reheated. Aggressive and ignorant customer service too - Avoid!

Do not order using website. Rang after 1 hour to check on order and told it's not come through and it's not their problem it's the card merchant and I should take it up with them. No notification, took no responsibility for the issue, no apology and no order. Good job I rang otherwise I'd of waited all night! Disappointed in Bonani. Won't be ordering from them again.

Have had many takeaways from bonani. Food is always freshly prepared and if high quality. Even the kebabs are excellent. Curry's are outstanding Fresh naan is stunning. Best onion bhajis in the area. Prices are good for the quality of food

Ordered special mixed kebab £10.40 on just eat, website down. Really tasty, arrived later than estimated. Salad was over a pound ontop so I didn't bother. Chilli sauce is good . Like gravy but tangy

Got be the worst takeaway in Cheadle no flavour not authentic marinated chicken was a joke no herbs and spices just lemon and red dye dont ask for Asian style curry there is more flavour in a bowl of porridge

Food not too bad but charged us £9 more than their website stated - £29+ for 2 meals, 1 pilau, 1 naan and 1 x onion bhaji???? Maybe if it was better than average but it was very average.

We had 2 Chicken Tikka Kebabs with salad. We were lucky if we had 5 small cubes of chicken in each. For the salad, 1 piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato and a half slice of cucumber. It cost £15 for the 2 Kebabs which was definitely NOT good value for money.

Incredibly disappointed, will not be going back, tried a few times as I thought they might just have had an off day but it’s consistently bad.

Been going to Bonani for over 30 years, very pleasant staff and the food is always spot on. No need to shop at different takeaways to please your family tastes they pretty much do everything. Highly recommended.

Takeaway refused to deliver my order because apparently “new covid rules” mean they can’t deliver to apartments, this is false and is being used as an excuse for a lazy driver. Reported to Just Eat as refusal to deliver

I read the reviews and thought why haven't I been to this place and get a takeaway as I am not far from it. Unfortunately I was incredibly dissapointed as I can probably cook a curry better than this takeaway. Perhaps I got it in a bad moment as the website was down and the kitchen looked empty when I got there. It felt as the place was opened just to get the cash flowing in no matter how bad the food could be. It only deserves 1 🌟 at the moment, I will try again when their website and take out menu is up and running and reconsider. For now compared to other places 1 🌟 is enough and would not recommend. But who knows perhaps it was a bad moment due to covid and other issues.

If you want a PROPER kebab wiv quality chilli sauce this is the place to go. Always a good scran. I give it 10 stars

This place used (I say USED) to be the best curry takeaway in Cheadle. I was house sitting for my mate so thought I would get a curry for tea. Chicken tikka vindaloo with extra chilli's. It was bland, and there were no extra chilli's. It used to be tasty and delicious. Very disappointed as previously it was the best!!

Consistently brilliant food over many years, we have a number of allergies in our family and the staff are always knowledgeable and understanding. Top notch.

A fabulous take away but prices have rocketed recently

Just had the most disappointing kebabs and service from what was our favourite kebab shop. We ordered the tandoori mix kebab (chicken, lamb, donner) and a lamb and donner kebab both on garlic naans. When we got home we had been given chicken and lamb for the tandoori mix and no lamb on the donner/ lamb kebab and both on plain naans I called the shop and he said the online menu was out of date and corrected me on the contents of my order compared to their real menu. Wasn’t interested in making things right just kept on that the online menu was out of date. When I said there was no lamb on the donner/ lamb kebab he said he’d heard me wrong, again not interested in offering to sort out the mistakes. I was hungry and didn’t want to argue so hung up. The kebabs were poor, not very warm, and not what we ordered. The customer service was even worse. Extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Great food and didn't have to wait long. Had the lamb passanda, the meat was lovely and tender and the sauce rich and creamy. Highly recommend!

We had high hopes for this this restaurant considering it’s the only one in town & is long standing within the community; but the level of food & to a degree service left us some-what dissatisfied.

As curry experiences go, it was good but pretty forgettable (apart from my brother trying 'Ceylon' for the first time, and loving it). A few things marked it down for me (and remember I now live in Paris where great curry isn't THAT easy to find!) - hardly any vegetables in the sauces, very oily and the prawn dish contained about two prawns..

Surprisingly empty early evening but clean and smart. Very wide choice menu. Service of food a bit slow but when it came very tasty and well presented with good sized portions. Price very reasonable. No food hygiene sticker displayed. Checked after it's a 3.

We seemed to have a bit of communication problems. I came in at 6pm to order the dishes as quickly as possible, so we could have left by 7 pm and put the kids to bed. For some reason the waiter dragged on taking my order, even tough no one else had arrived yet. Finally by 7pm, the food arrived. We loved it. It was absolutely yummy. We had two vegetarian dishes and three chickens (vindaloo, Malayan, darsan, mild curry and pathai?), Also abi goobi and the pashwari nan was really tasty. The staff was friendly and the kids seemed welcome, even tough a bit messy with the food. Also the food is reasonably priced for copious portions.

We have been customers for a long time as its our local Indian take-away. Nearly every order that we have we have an item/items missing from the order. The service is extremely poor and regularly get asked if we actually want our change! The food itself is not great at all and the amount of oil is actually crazy! We have been customers for many years but we now choose to travel further for better quality. I would not recommend!

We went to this restaurant on the 4th Nov which is the same day as the bonfire society night, meaning thousands of people were in Battle and we still Manager to get a seat, that alone should tell you something as every other restauraunt was booked solid.

Got in on bonfire night without booking, and were served promptly and competently. Two poppadoms were fresh, two not. The mains were remarkably tasteless and, as others have noted, cooked in way too much oil. The chicken was fine but the lamb was uncomfortably tough.
