The best restaurants in New Forest South East

Very unacceptable that we had to wait 2 and a half hours for food delivery!! Even more unacceptable that they put a 16 year old kid on the phone. Poor girl has had a lot of phone calls complaining this evening and for a 16 year old that’s a lot to handle. Apart from my complaints, food was lovely but won't be ordering again

Every time I've ordered its been rejected. Ridiculous, considering ample time to cook the order and deliver, regardless of ordering late evening. Absolutely terrible, will never attempt again.

Great spot for a coffee and snack, really enjoyed a decaf and granola slice — such an improvement on the prior Costa offerings.

we went out to celebrate my birthday with a family meal. the staff were super friendly and greeted us with a warm welcome. food came out quickly and was tasty! the staff again were so kind and offered to take some photos within the evening. i would 100% recommend.

Members of staff were very rude with customer who was with learning disabilities girl, took the menu only because the customer didn't talk loudly enough with one of the other . Was not his fault. He was just ordering the food

Normally, I use another McDonald's but as I was in need of nourishment I came her. It was an upsetting experience as my food was not hot and bits were wrong. I called my friend Tarquin and he suggested I ask for a refund. I did this and later we met in our usual McDonald's where the food was delicious and hot.

I was very disappointed. Went with my husband, and 2 adult children. The quality has really dropped since we last visited a few months ago. The staff were stressed and the portions sizes of the starters took us aback! Style over substance we all muttered! The quality of the ingredients is clearly cheap. The chicken burger was over cooked, the vegan burger was a poorly constructed with a dry quorn style patty and every main dish was poorly plated. Rustic bread rolls came out a bake off packet. Sadly I think most of the food could have come from a cheap supermarket and definitely not worth the bill. New ownership means we won’t be going back.

Classic fish and chips, crispy batter, amazing chips, cooked whilst we waited so felt super fresh. The staff were also really smiley!

This pub restaurant has clearly fallen off the interest list of Greene King chain. My friends, partner and I have been here before for my birthday with no complaints. This time was the last visit there. Ten chairs need upholstering, a water leak in the bar roof contravening not only health & safety laws, food hygiene laws. Staff are showing signs of being demoralised presumably by higher management. I had to remind staff we had ordered starters; and my main looked over cooked with out any salad garnish (a couple of baby tomatoes at least?) that I usually expect from a hungry Horse venue. I spoke to a work colleague who had a similar experience; he hasn’t lodged a complaint or review yet. The Vine In —> Fix it or sell it?! Dreadful experience.

Very upset having left Southampton Hospital late last night chose to have a burger at kebab house and not McDonalds only to find it closed at 10pm when website stated 11 pm said open on the door and was shooed away by staff 😢😢

Thank God KFC Holbury is shut! The food was always disappointing – the chips were consistently cold, and the overall quality just wasn’t up to par with other locations. It’s a real shame because the staff were always friendly and did their best, but unfortunately, they had to find other work. Despite their efforts, this wasn’t one of the better KFC franchises. Hopefully, something better will take its place in the future.

6 de nosotros fuimos a un asado en el Día de las Madres, la comida era preciosa. Solo estoy triste de no poder apretar en un pudín junto con los demás y me encanta su banana split. Solo tendré que hacer una excursión de un día otro día para eso 😁. Zoe, que estaba a cargo y todo el personal de servicio eran encantadores y serviciales, a pesar de que fueron despedidos de sus pies y mi marido descarado estaba pidiendo extras 🤦🏻‍♀️ así que gracias.

Great service, great coffee, decent food, and all reasonably priced. The cafe itself was clean, and there was hardly any queue at all.

Terrible terrible service by the lady. 6 of us ordered food, and one couple wanted to share a pot of tea and cake. Met by the lady with no you’re not allowed to do that. I dare her to smile once in a while as well, would not go back and would not recommend to anyone
