Delicious fillet of sea bass with soy and ginger sauce, washed down with a tasty Viognier was a Friday night treat. Extremely friendly service in a cosy restaurant. Highly recommended.
A must for lunch ! We both had crab salad . A mountain of fresh leaves home made slaw and fresh crab on top served with crusty bread. Lovely
Sea front table uninterrupted views out to sea
Excellent small breakfast, high quality ingredients, beautifully cooked and piping hot. Included toast and hot drink made it very good value. Lovely atmosphere.
Visit Pearl cafe Isle of Wight we had lovely tasty snacks the bread was lovely and fresh with generous fillings with a helping of salad the service was excellent an ideal venue to view the Pearl jewellery lovely displays overlooking a scenic view.
Best Mac and cheese on the island!! Only pointer to improve it would be if there was a side salad included like there is if you order lasagne, other than that can’t beat it, we have been when it’s the two light bites deal in the daytime, so so yum and friendly staff behind the bar
Food used to be amazing....now I would not
even feed to my dog. Over cooked, cheap
pre made rubbish. Major lack of care or
quality. Not fresh like it used to be. Ordered
over the phone for delivery. Firstly there were
missing items. After waiting over an hour
for delivery, we then had another 30 minute
wait for the rest to arrive. Secondly, phoned
to order as wife can not eat onions as they
make her poorly. Food arrived covered in
onions despite stating no onions. On top of
this cross contamination, no sauces ordered
yet the hot dog had spots of hot chilli sauce
on it. Contacted them, to have a manager
or whoever it was blame it on us.... how when
you missed items and put onions on even
after telling you not to....then to sum up
the experience, when we asked for a refund
we're told they would refund, but only if
we went to them. Refused to refund to the
original payment card. Normally, I praise local
business, but on this occasion, hell no....
Original post deleted and resubmitted. Have just recieved a rather nasty facebook message from the owner.... People need to realise the sort of vile people that run this place. Don't ever make a complaint as you will just be told a pack of lies and fed abuse. 30+ year business or not, you do not treat your customer as if they are a piece of s**t on the bottom of your shoe.... Please avoid. There is better choices else where....
We booked a cocktail masterclass at Artisan Cocktail Bar & Grill back in early February, but when we arrived, our booking wasn’t in their system. To make things worse, they don’t usually run cocktail classes on Saturdays, so we were worried my mother’s birthday celebration would be a bust.
Thankfully, Kieron saved the day! He arranged cover for the main bar so he could still run the masterclass for us. From start to finish, the evening was brilliant - plenty of laughter, learning, and delicious cocktails.
If you visit, make sure to ask Kieron for The Solero - it tastes exactly like the ice cream and is absolutely delicious.
The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that the food was pretty standard and took forever to order and arrive. This is definitely more of a cocktail and drinks spot, but the masterclass is highly recommended.
Huge thanks to Kieron for making my mum’s belated birthday treat so special!
i had an awful experience in this cafe from the passive aggressive workers behind the counter to the waitress slamming my drink down on the table. its safe to say have not been made to feel welcome to return and i will not be coming back. i recommend subway down the road as it is the exact same and more welcoming.
Average at best. £12.50 for 4 prawns on skewers as a sharing plate. The Moroccan chicken skewers with Cous Cous was below par and although presented relatively well it did not lend itself to the so called exciting dishes as advertised! The menu choices are not good and quite frankly sparse. The choice of desserts was disheartening, although reasonably priced. The drinks are expensive £3.50 for a half of Coke and £10 for a glass of wine is quite honestly too much. The Good friendly service from the front of house staff can’t be faulted.
Average food at an above average price. Will definitely NOT be going back.
We ordered a pre-Christmas takeaway, first time visitors! It was delicious! The sag aloo is really good. The teen loved the korma and said it was the best they’d had for ages. We loved the paneer and the dupiaza.
A lovely meal, we’ll definitely order again!
