Beautiful location, staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, plenty to choose from. Had the best night's sleep in a long time, comfortable and homely. Will be returning for sure. A big thank you to the owners and staff

This should be a 5-star hotel! I booked Twin Deluxe and Bay view room for my family members. Everything was taken care of and the owners really thought of everything the guests would need. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated with clean welcoming bathrooms. The location is superb - it is just a few minutes walk from Shanklin Chine. This would definitely my place to stay when I travel to Isle of Wight again.

Just had a wonderful week's holiday at the Clifton Hotel. Panoramic views from many of the bedrooms, including ours. Breakfasts were great! All of the staff were really very friendly and helpful and all wanted to make our holiday a pleasure. The grounds are beautiful and there is a car park within the grounds. Clearly a happy place to be as all of the staff are happy in their work. Only a short walk from the centre of Shanklin. We regularly visit the island and when we next return it will be to this hotel. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

It was a lovely b&b, the room was spacious and clean. It was also nice to have a walk-in shower as a lot of b&b's have showers over the bath. Unfortunately we should have looked into it more prior to booking/arrival as there is no lift, and our room was on the top floor, up 45 stairs, which as I have mobility issues was a concern. This aside if you can do stairs this is a great place to stay - it was really quite and we did have a sea view although could not see much of the sea. Breakfast was lovely although this does not start until 8.00am! Breakfast is cooked to order and we did not have to wait long for this, although it did not appear that the b&b wasn't full when we stayed. The staff were efficient and polite.

Just got back from an absolutely wonderful stay at the Clifton with my mum. The rooms were immaculate with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and even a coffee maker. The view out to sea from the balcony room is amazing. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of fruit and cereals as well as cooked breakfasts. As it was the Easter holidays, I was expecting there to be some children, but the hotel is geared up for adults and has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and chatty. What I didn't realise before we arrived was that this was actually the same hotel I stayed in 20 years ago on a primary school trip! Safe to say the current owners have updated the hotel a lot since then and their days of hosting schools are long gone!

The concept is cute but badly executed. Everything is done cheaply including spray painting foliage with bright neon colours (badly!). Very cheap plastic tables and chairs with tacky plastic table clo

What a great place. Yummy fillings, bread options and offers GF rolls. Used a couple of times over our stay as the ‘moo & blue’ was sooooo delicious. We travelled from Shanklin to use it. Would recom
