We only popped in for a couple of coffees but I'm really glad we did. Seems like we found a gem of place to come back to. A warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door, friendly staff and reasonably priced too. Will try some of the food next time!

This is situated near the Rock-a-Nore car park by the wonderful black fishing huts of Hastings. Very friendly service and dog friendly. We both had sea bass on crushed potatoes and carrot puree with a butter and garlic sauce. One of the best fish meals Iāve ever had- and Iāve had a lot. Delicious.

Went in for a coffee and cake with my partner, which was a little over priced but OK. Unfortunately I was appalled by awful behavior of a member of staff to a customer. They had bought a coffee, but had purchased a pastry from elsewhere previously, and was picking at it out of the bag. It was pointed out to them in the bluntest of terms that the pastry was not purchased from the shop, and the customer was politely apologetic. Increadibly the staff member launched into a tirade of abuse creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere for all. She was certainly rude and almost bullying in her approach. Very unprofessional and I'm sure that the customer will never visit again. For that matter, I don't think that I, or my partner, would want to go to a place where staff behave in this way.

Looks like my review was removed. I was here last night but only men were served even though I was there first. I objected as a staff member reached past my left ear to take money from man behind me. As my review as been removed with no apology from the pub management, I will now forward a complaint to the licensing department. I won't go away until the pub changes its practice. Equality for all customers.

We had the camembert sharing board which was just enough. It had 2 baked camemberts with gherkins, peppers, hummus, pesto, black grapes, sun-dried tomatoes and salad with crispy bread! We thoroughly enjoyed it! All for Ā£22.95 I think

We had coffee and tea in this lovely pub. It's largely decorated with paintings (which you can buy I think, some have price tags). We didn't have the chance to try the food and the ales, but we'll definitely try it during our next stay in Hastings. The staff was very friendly š

Iām often in the Robertson Street branch.. Food is always great but the prices are seriously ridiculous. For a posh lemonade (they didnāt have an affordable versionā) and the tiniest falafel and pepper wrap, it was Ā£8.60!! The wrap had no garnish, no salad on the side, no crispsā¦just two halves of the wrap which was four small mouthfuls. Iām sorry, but yiu canāt put the prices up and offer less. I can eat a whole full English breakfast for less than that. Also, the layout for the toll is not great. Everyone lines up, the line is often long as there is only ever one person on the till. There is no space Newtown the large table and queue, so people coming in and out of the kitchen, in and out of the toilets or just trying to leave the queue once paying have to squeeze passed all the time. Itās a great venue and the food is good, but with so many choices in town which are better value, I wonāt be going as often

The before and after photos are enough of a review, but we went for a Steak & Harveys ale pie, a Cheddar & caramelised onion pie, both with perfect chunky chips, thick flavoursome gravy plus red cabbage, and tenderstem broccoli sides. Thanks.
