Amazing food. I had the waffle balls and my partner had donuts and whippy. Friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble 🙂

What a great experience. A pub in the centre of George street. Very friendly efficient staff. And the food was very special with a good verity to suit anyone’s taste. We will certainly visit again and it will be our go to place to take our visitors.

Such a varied menu, something for everyone. I’ve had pizza, pasta, seafood and steak here and always delicious. Good variety of wines as well.

A tiny pub, full of character. The atmosphere was always friendly and joyful. They have various local speciality beers (cask and keg) as well as specialty ciders. It's a rather small place, but they have two or three tables behind the building.

Excellent lunch today. The smoked fish selection was terrific as was the fish and chips with bread and butter that my wife had. Very friendly staff and no hesitation in recommending.

Opposite the Jenny Lind, this is a great breakfast option and was very tasty. Welcoming host. Highly recommended, lots of choices too, great sausages!

Travelled from Maidstone to visit Hastings and decidet to try the Promonade fish bar.It did not disappoint.Service and staff were 10 out of 10,the food was piping hot and the portion size was very generous too!The place was nice and clean Would definitely recommend.

I would like to thank Fatima for a lovely take away meal. We could not eat in due to Covid, Fatima put together the meal we would of ordered and we collected and had our meal at home. As always the food and the service was outstanding it took us back to our holidays in Morocco. Thank you Fatima we will see you soonTricia

Although I haven't eaten here yet, the items for sale cast you back and back and back to a time when people lived with good sense, they collected things to keep for life, and the sight of all those classic dishes, linens, brushes, lights, glassware and cutlery, etc etc makes me want to move back into the past and forget this modern time which feels so flimsy by comparison.

We spent a wonderful afternoon in Hastings enjoying the lovely sunshine at the end of September. We loved this shop with its beautiful and varied items for sale. We were in need of a nice cup of tea and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We sat outside in the sunshine and lovely pot of tea for two was brought out to us. A lovely china teapot, bone china cups and saucers. Milk in a little jug and a couple of biscuits. It was delightful and there were two full cups each for the both of us. It was such a pleasant conclusion to a lovely afternoon. Just sitting and relaxing in the warm autumn sunshine. Thank you.

I had an excellent stay here with my 90yo mother and sister. It’s in a great location and the rooms were lovely. The staff here are all excellent and very kind and the breakfast delicious. Thank you

Terrible. I visited this place after viewing a house nearby (which I now live in) and endured an absolutely horrific experience. It started when I began choking on a fish pâté that was unexpectedly filled with bones — no warning, no indication, until it was too late. The bones caused internal bleeding in my throat. In a panic, I rushed to the toilet to try and remove them, only to be met by staff who were frantically panicking themselves, repeatedly telling me they’d never seen anything like it — as if I had! It was terrifying, traumatic, and ended with me spending the rest of the day and night in A&E. I was so hungry I ended up eating the free cheesecake the café gave me… which unfortunately just tasted like grease and oil. While the staff did cover the bill, I strongly recommend urgent training in food safety and emergency response. This situation could have been so much worse.
