We spent a wonderful afternoon in Hastings enjoying the lovely sunshine at the end of September. We loved this shop with its beautiful and varied items for sale. We were in need of a nice cup of tea and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We sat outside in the sunshine and lovely pot of tea for two was brought out to us. A lovely china teapot, bone china cups and saucers. Milk in a little jug and a couple of biscuits. It was delightful and there were two full cups each for the both of us. It was such a pleasant conclusion to a lovely afternoon. Just sitting and relaxing in the warm autumn sunshine. Thank you.

Cute cafe, good hosts and fab menu. In particular the brunch which is generous. And the coffee is good .. most other places in Hastings have lousy coffee. You can take away cakes that are clearly all homemade. Big slices good prices. Always pop in whenever I am on George Street.

Good little pub this. My only downside was the capacity, it is a fairly small venue and there wasn't enough tables for us to sit indoors so had to make do with a bench outdoors but other than that it is a very good pub. Didn't have the widest selection of tap drinks, but it certainly had enough to keep punters happy. Other than this though, it's a very good place! Friendly staff, reasonably priced, I thoroughly recommend here if you want to just pop in for a drink.

The most fabulous delicious meze choice. He also made ayan especially for me as he doesn't normally sell it which I thought strange. Freshly made. Can eat in or out. Very accommodating.

This is the second time this year we went to FILO for a light lunch (2nd March) and once again had a great light lunch and a roaring fire. My wife had the sumptuous prawns in garlic butter and I had a wonderful potato and leak soup with crusty bread and butter. This was with two americano coffees and the price was only £24. Very good value for money and to date my favourite pub and eating place in old town Hastings!

I asked to have a Cornish pasty heated to take away. The member of staff said- that they didn't need to be heated, as they'd just come out of the oven. They didn't look warm, but she was most instant. The result is I had a take out of a barely warm pasty. It didn't feel hot even to touch. End result. They've lost a customer.

We went to this restaurant, now Taste of Vitality, as the chef had a great reputation for Indian food. The menu was fabulous however one hour later we were still waiting for our food. Not a poppadoms in sight! We managed to drink our bottle of wine. People before us were just about to leave as they had to wait an hour for their food and we’re over charged. We were eventually served with food that was not ours and they took it back to take to the other party. There were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant! We paid for our wine and left.
