Great little cafe. My kids love coming here. They always silly some pencils and paper for them to doodle while waiting for their food, which is always really good! Staff are super friendly and everything is reasonably priced. One of our favourite spots

Amazing lunch huge portions I had the prawn salad so many prawns I could not eat it all so got it to take home we had omelette and chips, full English and burger and chips xx a free lolly and choc for the child xx such friendly attentive service we went back again xx p.s. the coffee is also great x

I came with my brother from London for a daily visit and found that lovely cafe in the Old Town. It's definitely a little gem in here. Lovely food, beautiful atmosfere and friendly staff. We will definitely come back.

Stopped for brunch and the panninis were divine freshly prepared staff were attentive and helpful would definitely recommend to any of my family and freinds site was busy so a 20 minute wait was acceptable

Incredibly impressed with the food, especially for the price. Wonderful smoothie also. Staff were attentive, respectful and friendly, despite being rather busy. Best fry up I've had in Hastings. In a time where so many places are putting their prices up, cutting back on quality, and treating customers as nothing but cash cows, this experience was a welcome surprise. People like this deserve your custom.

Sat outside and had an Americano, strawberry smoothie and banana smoothie. Smoothies were fresh, cold and delicious. Got a biscuit with the coffee. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Food menu looked really good too and plenty of choice.

We went on May Day, 3 very wet and cold motorcyclists. Very friendly staff member made room for us. Lovely varied menu. Reasonably priced. Food was very nicely presented, good hot drinks. All staff were very efficient on such a busy day. Couldn't fault any of it.

Quite expensive for what it is but can't fault food or service.

Waitress serving us was really friendly - which is about the only positive. The wrap and BLT was OK, as was the milkshake. But avoid the roasted peppers & humus wrap, inedible. The cappuccino's were just milky coffees. I did ask the male server to check the quality but he couldn't care less. At £35 for 3 of us, I've eaten in better places in Hastings at that price.

Friendly and professional service, great coffee, excellent food, nice atmosphere. This is my go to place for coffee and lunch when in Hastings Old Town.

The breakfast was fantastic, the black pudding truly wonderful. Fluffy and delicious. We sat next the radiator along the windows seats, to thaw out, people watch and enjoy the scene. The staff are absolutely lovely, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My son and & I loved our visit. So much we also had brunch with my parents a few hours later. The coffee was strong and hot, and my sons hot chocolate was yummy. Excellence vale, quality and service. I'll be visiting a lot. Fully recommend.

Food is excellent, well priced and portioned. There is a small selection of books available to keep small people entertained if you don't mind reading out in the cafe. Cheese and ham panini is a favourite of our daughter every time we go there

We had lunch here and we normally stop here when in Hastings. The staff are friendly and they have a good choice of both hot and cold food. The lemon drizzle cake is the best I have ever had - really moist and flavoursome!

Only stopped by for a drink after wandering around the old town. Staff very pleasant. A nice little find. Will definitely return. Menu looks nice.

We called in and ordered hot chocolate. We were asked if we wanted cream and marshmallows and we said yes. The hot chocolate was nice though it was Cadbury instant. When we got the bill the hot chocolate was £5.10 each. £3.50 for the drink and 80p for each of the toppings. I felt it very overpriced for what it was.

Im extremely disappointed, I’ve heard good things about this cafe. Unfortunately, on my visit i heard whom i presume was the manager (foreign woman), dark hair, adressing a young member of her staff in such a disgusting manner, very belittling and patronising way. The young girl was obviously new to the job and i could see she was visibly upset by this. I didn’t even bother to stay for food. Steer clear!

Overpriced/very expensive fried English breakfasts, really over priced. Quality of food poor. (Breakfast #2 £10) The one tiny tasteless sausage was overcooked, two small pieces of bacon again overcooked and tough. Mushrooms cold, egg okay. Service with only two other couples in the cafe slow. (two members of staff) I would not go there again and cannot recommend.

Called in with family for tea and cake. The welcome was friendly, the place was clean and the cakes and teas were excellent. Also had a Strawberry smoothie which was superb 👌 Highly recommended

We were in Hastings for the day, and came across this little gem of a place.

Excellent cafe. Just had the most delicious and generous portion of Smoked salmon & Scrambled Eggs. All really fresh and scrummy.

Do not recommend Breakfast: terrible Bacon over cooked Sausages burnt Toast hard Eggs cold Service: terrible No welcome, took over 15 mins to just ask us if wanted any drinks, we was just about to get up and leave. No apology, it then took another 20mins to bring food. Staff more interested in clearing tables (lots of tables free, not busy at all)

Whilst Hastings is not short of places to eat and drink, this one really hits the spot ! Friendly staff, excellent drinks, lovely food and sensible prices, topped off by excellent service. Don’t pass this place by without sampling something

I've been popping in once a week for a coffee and the cheeky bowl of chips for a few months and it's honestly like I've been coming for years. As soon as I walk through the door I'm greeted with a cheery hello and a 'usual'?. My usual being one of the nicest coffees around. A simple black americano. It's a great spot to sit outside and people watch too. I highly recommend the place for simple, clean food and lovely staff.

This little cafe in George Street is brilliant, it Carter's to all tastes and it's owner is very lovely, and her staff are always happy to see, you the premise is always clean.

We went here for the first time on Saturday. The food, service, and atmosphere were all just wonderful. We liked it so much we returned on Monday for a May day breakfast, and it was all as lovely as the previous visit. The owner and her staff are friendly and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend Aroma, and we're looking forward to another visit soon! As an aside, the blueberry smoothie is beautiful!

Well overpriced for a greasy spoon cafe. £9.50 for a tiny breakfast, no tea/coffee or toast. Small cheap greasy sausage. It's not acceptable to charge this much and serve so little. These prices are ok for old town but the food has got to be up to standard. Will not return or reccomend.

What a kind, friendly coffee shop this is. We went in, rather frazzled on a cold drizzly day, with two small children and the staff couldn't have kinder and more patient with us. We particularly appreciated the child-sized milkshakes, and the books. Thank you so much.

Five stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Absolutely loved the quality of food, portion size, friendliness of staff and value for money. Visiting with a friend today decided to browse the cafe and found this place to be a quiet place to chill relax and grab a bite to eat. Half expected the stingyness portions of cafes along in Brighton to equate here but was surprised at how generous the portion size was... The cafe itself was clean tidy and well presented with ample seating areas. I expected a short list of a few traditional milkshakes and tried the snickers milkshake as so many to chose from and I can confirm they are definitely thick shakes... Nothing like shakeaway standards, but infact better... If reading this and unsure where to stop for a bite to eat, a place to relax and where value for money exceeds expectations.. Then I would definitely recommend here and will be returning again on future visits to Hastings for lunch... Amazing all round cafe..

We couldn't compliment the food more. We both had a Greek salad, as we should have been in Greece this week. It was lovely. Service was good as well. Sadly the staff need retraining on hygiene. They had a customer in the doorway with a rather scruffy dog and the staff kept stroking him, then carry on serving. My partner has breast cancer and is being very careful, so was horrified to see this. Fortunately the dog was after we were served. We can recommend this place, but more care is needed.

Visited on a hot August Saturday for a light lunch. Both dishes were tasty, plentiful and very reasonably priced. The young staff were an absolute delight especially as, I'm sure, they would have preferred to be on the beach rather than serving the likes of us Sandwiches. Ditch the expensive chains and support more places like this.

We only stopped for a pot of tea for two so I cannot comment on the food. As we sat outside enjoying our cups of tea, two elderly ladies from our coach party sat down next to us, looking very hot. Without any prompting, a waitress from the cafe appeared and asked them whether they wanted to order anything. They replied 'no' so she asked them whether they would both like glasses of water which they gladly accepted. Only a small thing but so very thoughtful.

The scrambled egg and bacon bagel was honestly the best bagel I’ve ever had! Wish I’d taken a pic but will be coming back again ❤️

We got some bagels for breakfast,unexpectedly pleasant taste! They weren’t stingy,about the use of ingredients! Had a carrot cake, very tasty and fresh! Waitress although alone (cafe was very busy at the moment)she did an amazing job ! Happy with the experience!

My husband and I decided to take our son out for a breakfast this morning (for background information, my son is 10, he is non verbal and has autism). I was very nervous because we were not sure how he would react to it. My son was anxious when he first stepped into the cafe, he calmed down a bit once we found him a seat near the window. We were so glad the staff came to take our order as soon as we sat down, the service was fast and efficient. The food and drink came out within 15 minutes after we sat down. The breakfast was good and we all enjoyed it. At one point my son decided to leave the table and ran from one end of the cafe to the other, I was very nervous but all the staff at the cafe was very understanding. The lady who owns the cafe was very kind, she came to our table and gave my son a packet of wafer. I was actually very touched by her kindness. I accept it that not everyone understands autism or any disability that they haven't got to deal with in their lives but a little kindness goes a long way. Sometimes just a smile or a small gesture of kindness is so very important to us, it's a real comfort to know that they see and acknowledge my son. I would give this cafe more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back again in the future.

Had a great waitress who fast tracked our toddlers food so he didnt kick off because he was hungry. Great prices and great food. Will definitely be coming by here again the next time im in hastings

Very nice little coffe shop. The space are a bit tight, but other than that it was very good. Food was perfect. Had a good cup of tea. Clean and neat with friendlyvstaff. Not expensive at all. Clean restrooms.

Had a decent greasy spoon breakfast. The fried egg was very hard. Staff very friendly.

Honestly a resurrecting breakfast. Throw out the antidepressants, this is all you need. The happiest place on earth. Smashing service and quality beans. What more could you ask for.
