Horrible everything! 0 out of 💯 ! Honestly wasted my time, money. Restaurant based on Royal Victoria Hotel. I assumed it was really good, as hotel look fancy enough. Me and my boyfriend came to check it out, as we were walking around day before and saw the sign outside, I think 🤔 it was saying Michaelen star awarded, but I am not sure, might be mistaken. - Stuff Very welcoming, attentive. - Food We ordered burgers. Both burgers looked okay, tasted ordinary, tomato was cold, meat tasted funny, like cheap meat from supermarket. - Bill Prices are average! Please do not waste your time! To management, Please invest more in your food quality. It’s an embarrassment!

We ate at the Sea Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Victoria Hotel on her first night in Hastings. We booked there for four reasons: it was open on a Sunday evening, the restaurant has sea views, the price was very reasonable, plus we were staying at the hotel. The restaurant was popular with families, with young children, all of whom I assume were staying at the hotel. Service was OK, although the staff did seem rushed off their feet trying to manage the restaurant and the lounge next door. Food was well presented, but looked better than it tasted. We also ate here for breakfast which was OK.

Came here for a Sunday roast. They have a great set menu and price, where you can have 2 or 3 courses for a fixed priced. The starter was delicious and a great portion. The carvery was also very good and the cook gave me loads of meet. The rest is buffet style, so you can have as little or as much as you want. The desserts all looked delicious and I chose the sticky toffee pudding which was very very yummy. The staff were very friendly and the cook came out and said hello which was very nice and welcoming. Great place, will return!

We have parents staying with us for Christmas and New Year and wanted a traditional Sunday roast with a view. My husband suggested the Sea View at the Royal Victoria Hotel and we called and booked. We were a group of 6 including 2 teenagers ( tricky customers!) So glad we decided to go here, the hotel has a real old school charm and the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating too. Special mentions to Dominik and Renata for lovely table service with a smile and the lovely chatty chef (didn’t get his name, he’s from Dumfries). We will be back again soon, can’t believe we have not visited sooner. Thank you.

Food usually well presented. Sea views help to make the long delays more acceptable. Enjoyed the steak, lamb cutlets and salmon during my stay, but had to wit a long time on each occasion

I'm not even sure where to start after an awful evening! What should have been a lovely Christmas meal turned into a bizzar evening of events, before we even got there we had last min info that they had no licence for alcohol! starters came out cold and raw so all sent back, came back reheated and handed back out to wrong people, I had someone's toast on my plate with a bite taken out of it, all sent back again and skipped starters, main meal was less than appetising! Pudding came out grapes mouldy, rock hard biscuits, starters still on the table at 12am when we left! Fire alarm going off, and to top it off police turned up to check we were not consuming there alcohol, very run down hotel which is really sad, we had fun due to good company but left hungry. Had some money returned for no starters. Would not return sadly!

We had a fantastic lunch last Sunday with my father-in-law. Fabulous carvery - and don't let the name put you off! Really well presented and beautifully cooked roast with all the trimmings. Great value and a gorgeous view of the sea across the road.

Mother's Day special! Great meal, beautiful views. Presentation pot of primroses for every Mum. My favorite for an early evening aperatif, gin and tonic perhaps?

Took my elderly mum in here for a lunch. Paper signs up everywhere saying they would be using takeaway cups due to a leaking dishwasher - the same signs have been up for almost a week ! Anyway I wasn’t ordering coffee so didn’t think anything of it. I ordered two toasted sandwiches and a bottle of juice. The sandwiches were plonked down on the table in paper bags with no napkins or cutlery. I questioned the Barista who simply said “you’ve read the signs “!! Wow - the customer service in this place is terrible - email sent to Head Office! Incidentally this was NOT the trainee barista but the fully trained one!!! Not good enough! So much so that I will definitely not be returning to this which is my local Nero! For this dreadful service I paid £14.30!!!! Ps the sandwiches were actually quite revolting and not like some I have recently had in Bury St Edmond’s Nero.

It's a good place to catch up with friends over a coffee or tea without going to a hideous town centre coffee shop

The Market Cafe. Great cafe. Good value for money Create your own breakfast option is useful if you don’t like everything on the set menu. Friendly staff.

After arriving in Hastings and strolling round, we found this pub. Welcome was brilliant, beer was great and food was excellent. A small but welcoming pub. We had a classic fish and chips, and a delicious Sri Lankan fish curry. High recommend, dogs welcome and a great cosy ambience.
