Called in for a snack and drinks at the vintage tea rooms called The Outlook Tea Rooms and Art Gallery attached to the Hope Anchord Hotel. As soon as you step through the door it's like stepping back in time to the tea rooms of, shall we say, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple. However, there's nothing 'vintage' about the service from the very friendly staff or what is on offer on the menu. There's home-made scones, cakes and sandwiches (with Gluten Free options available). There's also a good choice of speciality teas and coffees to drink (alcoholic and other non-alcoholic drinks are also available). The prices are very reasonable. If you like tea rooms then you should like The Outlook Tea Rooms and Art Gallery.

Picked up a takeaway and once again we are given the wrong food still charged full price and not interested when you call them it’s our fault.

The DOVE Cafe is on Bexhill Road itself. The Dugout Cafe is at the back of shops on Bexhill Road. I added this review as when I search for The Dove Cafe, it brings up The Dugout Cafe. THEY ARE DIFFERENT ESTABLISHMENTS.

The Coffee Pod is one of several coffee stops on Hastings seafront open from 8am (see also “Goat Ledge Café” and “Starsky and Hatch”) but has the disadvantage that it is exposed to the elements (wind, rain etc). After seeing a lot of good reviews online decided I must try and visit. In the end we visited twice: once of an early morning coffee, then again for an ice-cream one afternoon. The Coffee Pod seems to be part of Goodmans Barbers and Coffee Spot which is situated in The Courtyard nearby and also on St Leonard’s seafront.
