I would like to thank Fatima for a lovely take away meal. We could not eat in due to Covid, Fatima put together the meal we would of ordered and we collected and had our meal at home. As always the food and the service was outstanding it took us back to our holidays in Morocco. Thank you Fatima we will see you soonTricia

I went here with a friend on a Friday evening for dinner. Fatima and her staff gave outstanding customer service, very attentive and friendly, spending time chatting with us and falling over themselves to make sure we were comfortable and that we would be happy with the food. My friend and I couldn't quite decide over starters so Fatima made us up a gorgeous platter of a selection of starters which included miniature versions of one of the main courses (filo pastry filled with cheese - so so tasty!). There were vine leaves stuffed with rice, vegetable samosas, bean mix and salad among it all. Picture included! The platter was presented beautifully and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. I ordered a sage and mint tea which was served in a Morrocan style silver teapot with a handle cover. The aesthetic generally, at Fatima's is rich and authentic, and the downstairs section especially feels as if being in Morrocco itself. Long couches, lots of cushions, pictures of Morrocco on the wall. It's a visual treat and very comfortable. Dogs are allowed at the restaurant too which is nice. The place has a warm feeling, due largely to the welcome and accommodating nature of Fatima and her staff. For my main course I hat the carrot and chickpea tagine (also pictured) which was delicious. It was suitably thick enough in consistency, and the flavours worked so well together. It was served in a clay dish as you can see, adding to the overall experience. We did have puddings, but they were eaten before I had the chance to consider photographing! Rose flavoured biscuits created a light, airy and fragrant experience which I had not experienced before and the baklava was a dream! I then had a coffee afterwards which was presented just as well as the rest of the meal. I can't fault Fatima's and her beautiful selection of authentically Morrocan foods. I was amazed at how quickly she was able to cook the food that we had and I am very much looking forward to visiting again to try other parts of the menu! Highly recommend, if you are after an authentic experience and truly delicious and creatively presented foods and pattiserie items!

Have walked past Fatima’s daily and always saw it more as a bag shop. A friend suggested lunch in there after Xmas to catch up so I thought worry giving it a go. My friend is a veggie and I’m on a vow to eat less meat. We both opted for halloumi wraps. Initially on looking at the menu I did think it wasn’t cheap for the wraps, however when they arrived they were very much worth it, packed with delicious salad and halloumi, hummus and lightly spiced. Will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu and take my hubby as the tagines sound great. Thank you

Just had a meal at Fatima’s last night. I so enjoyed the food. Shared a mixed platter to start, and a vegetarian tagine for the main course. Others in our party had the spiced chicken and the lemon chicken. Portions were just right and the tastes were out of this world. Had already read on trip advisor to try the Rose ice cream and it was delicious. The assorted pastries were so good I even purchased more to take home. One of the best meals I have had for years.

My wife and I have eaten here a few times and it is truly remarkable. The food is some of the best we have ever eaten. The tagines are spectacular. Fatima cooks all the food herself in a kitchen at the back which gives the whole place a warm and cosy feel. We ate here as a family for my birthday recently ( I wouldn't of chosen anywhere else for that special meal). She makes lovely cakes and sells some lovely rugs bags and jewellery thats she brings in from Egypt and Marrakech. A gem of a place.

We've been wanting to go to Fatima's for a long time and we weren't disappointed. Intimate setting in George Street (which operates as a shop by day selling Moroccan products and bags etc many of which were on display around us) and warm and friendly welcome by Fatima and her female colleague. We had the set menu that night. Wonderful mezze platter to start including a selection of hummus, vine leaves, pitta and falafel etc followed by two dishes of lamb tagine and dahl which were all delicious. We had a plate of sweets for dessert which was the end to a perfectly satisfying meal. BYO and dog friendly for small well behaved dogs. Will definitely go again.

Can not fault the food even if it was a tiny portion however, we sat outside on the metal chairs, my chair had a spike that tore my trousers so I told them and they changed my chair for another, after eating I went to pay and hadn't taken enough with me to the till, on explaining i have to go get more money the owner got argumentative with her waiter then asked me if i thought it was expensive, i replied i suppose it more than i expected, she then got very defensive then argumentative with me, i tried to ignore and leave quickly but she made me feel like a criminal, needless to say i was surprised that the bill was more that i expected and there was not any mention of perhaps a complimentary drink even due to a spike destroying my trousers we will not be returning

I went with my sister, her 4 year old and my mother on a Friday evening. We stumbled on this place when looking for somewhere to eat that catered for the variety of tastes. The servers were accommodating as soon as we asked for a table, and the food was great. We had a dip platter and olives plus the samosa to start. Unfortunately a member of the group doesn't like sauces and her samosa came with a yoghurt dressing dribbled on, but they replaced the dish without complaint - though they were a little confused (understandable as I can't imagine not liking sauces!). Everything was very tasty and delicately spiced. We then had tagines (the veg with chickpeas and tomato, the beef and a chicken one which was made less sugary on request as a member of our group is a diabetic). They were all perfectly cooked and very flavoursome. We also got complimentary turkish delight, which was nice despite it not being something I would usually like). Well done!

Fatimas køkken er en hyggelig lille marrokansk restaurant, hvor Fatima selv svinger gryderne og laver veltilberedt og velsmagende mad af ordentlige råvarer. Booked a table for anniversary meal. The place was full and they were turning people away. The food was wonderful but the service seemed a little disorganised. Our starters came and our mains followed after a little while but we heard others complaining they had been there over an hour waiting between starter and main. It appeared that all starters were served then all mains regardless of when you arrived.Fortunately for us we arrived at 8 and not 7 like some people.

We both had tagine, one lamb & one chicken & we were offered a choice of rice or couscous & pitta bread as an accompaniment. The food was very flavoursome (I might have liked a little more spice but that's my personal choice) & we cleared our plates ready for some baklava & homemade rose water ice cream which had to be tasted to be believed - sublime! Fatima serves up totally delicious tagines of home-cooked Moroccan stews in her kitchen when she takes over Petit Fi cafe Thurs-Sat evenings. You are always welcomed with a smile and the aromas that drift from the kitchen are exquisite. I love this place. We had an evening with our baby girl (2 months old) and friends. The atmosphere was so relaxed that my baby slept through the whole evening. We all shared starters and Mains so that we could try most things on the menu including the smoked fish tagine with sultanas (incredible), chicken tagine and dhal. All of which were lovely. I don't usually have sugar deserts but the homemade orange blossom ice cream and honey baklava is just beautiful. The restaurant is just establishing itself after being a pop up previously (that we also enjoyed), I am so glad that it's here to stay. All-round a great experience catching up with friends around great well prepared homely food.

We had high expectations for Fatima's pop up restaurant. It is disappointing to make this review, because the chef seemed really capable - definitely a good home chef. However our meal was only just satisfying. We ordered a mixture of starters - a platter of hummus, pitta, vine leaves, baba ganoush, spicy prawns, salad and samosas. The flavours were nice, just not astounding. I recommend ordering the samosas or the baba ganoush, both being fairly tasty. The prawns were enjoyed least - frozen, tasteless, and said to have a 24 hour marinade, yet were somewhat bland. For our main course we ordered the lentil curry, several lamb tagines and one chicken tagine. The lentil curry was probably best. The flavours were nice however not astounding. It was a little plain and the texture wasn't great - quite mushy, which is not what you expect for a restaurant meal. The lamb tagine was too watery and thin. The lamb was tender, flavours being nice enough, yet overall this meal did not meet expectations. The chicken tagine was, again, quite average. The portions for both starter and main were too small. Furthermore, the way the food was served was silly - the stews in small bowls separate from the couscous. Quite naïve. Perhaps a sweet and savoury moroccan tagine with some kind of fruit would have been more interesting, because the menu really is lacking imagination. Finally, the starters were overpriced for what we received- we ordered a platter of various starters and were given very small portions, yet charged unfairly. Our service was slow, which can be forgiven since it was a pop up and Fatima was the only person in the kitchen. Our waiter forgot to bring a drink and then forgot to query the chef about a meal, though he was friendly. Overall a promising yet disappointing experience.

Had lunch in this new little place on Saturday with family. 5 of us had salads which were all freshly made and one had a freshly made aubergine dip. All came with toasted pitta bread. Absolutely delicious. We also had fresh teas - mint and cardamon - much better than the stuff in tea bags. We were so impressed with the food that we also had baklava, ice cream and Turkish delight selection for dessert - best baklava I have ever had. Whilst there we bought a handbag, tagine dish and lamp between us.

There's quite an amazing array of dishes on offer, for a restaurant which is still in the process of applying for various licenses, so can not offer hot food just yet. Our meal was absolutely delicious, wonderful variety, we had hot bread and hot Moroccan tea and coffee with it. Plenty of choice for my vegetarians is a huge bonus in my book and lovely options for my meat-eaters too. We were so full at the end but the array of baklava and other sweets looked so delicious that I was very grateful when Fatima suggested that half a pudding each would be plenty, and we were all happy to share which made the whole thing even better value. I'm so looking forward to going again as I want more baba ganoush.

The food isn't roaringly spicy (which seemed to disappoint some diners) but it is rich with fragrant, fresh and beautifully-balanced flavours. The first time we visited we had lentil soup to start and the second visit we had a harissa and chickpea soup. Both were so full of flavour with just the right amount of spice. Lovely wine too, but we skipped desert as we were too full! However, my eyes lit up every time I heard the words "orange blossom ice cream" being mentioned to other tables... So we will definately be going back to try that at some point! Amazing service from the waiter and waitress that served us. I wish I lived closer to be able to go again very soon! It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table. It seems like it is only open Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings in the cafe which is open during the day. I highly recommend it!

Delicious, beautifully presented and clearly labelled vegan options. Inspired to try and recreate the coconut dhal at home - loved the added twist of the almond and raisin garnish! Lovely service too ❤️
