Thank you for the beautiful wedding bouquets and button holes for our wedding on 12th august. Mao was a great to work with, replied to emails, gave suggestions and listened to which flowers I would like. I had so many lovely comments about the bouquet and am getting it pressed as they were so lovely, so can remember the day. Would really recommend Shimizu Flowers for amazing quality and design from a small independent company, and lovely owner!

Had a bunch delever to a friend in Old London Rd when I saw them in a vase they looked half dead they lasted two days iv got better flowers out sainsbury conpleat waist of £55

I live in Sutton Surrey didn’t know local florist to send to Fairlight Cove as I didn’t know area . Whoever delivered flowers I ordered yesterday to a friend who lost her husband last week went above and beyond. Beautiful flowers and she even helped my friend to put in vase as she’s on her own. Never been to shop but I praise them highly and thank them . Recommend hundred percent

For the price I paid I was expecting a very large bunch of flowers. What came was smaller than a bunch from the super market. Transactions like this make it so much harder to support the smaller business and this is why big chains are winning.

Top quality bouquets are always guaranteed from this lovely shop. Great value and great service from a very lovely proprietor who always takes great care in what she does. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this flower shop. There is a negative review on here from someone who has either mistaken the shop for somewhere else, or maybe something else is going on (I could hazard a guess), but I know their review does not match this establishment at all. I’ve certainly seen other shops with flowers past their best, but I walk past this one every week and I’m always impressed by the quality of everything in it and the woman running it takes real pride in what she does and is obviously a caring person, so I’m pretty disgusted by the comments left. Anyway, please feel safe in the knowledge that any flowers ordered from here will be best quality and expertly presented. I’ve been a customer since it opened, so I’m confident in that assertion.

Sent flowers to a relative at Christmas - had to pay ridiculous amount extra just for some red flowers, plus the delivery charge was extortionate considering it was only a few miles away (I should have delivered them myself but that would have ruined the surprise) Anyway the main thing is, they never received them! The driver must have just left them outside and someone took them, or he never bothered.

Sadly my daughter living in UK recommended this flower shop to my other daughter in Australia, the flowers arrived half dead. Lilies were drooping on arrival and died within two days. I wondered if it was because my daughter ordered from Australia and they are confident that I would just accept this and not complain. It’s happened in three occasions so I finally had to tell my children not to use this company.

i don't want to criticise this place unnecessarily, because someone has worked hard to build this business, and the coffee is nice, but I don't really understand the reviews here. It's nothing amazing and this place is ludicrously uncomfortable - horrible bench seats and you'll get boxed in and/or have to shuffle up to make space all the time. Maybe if the coffee does it for you it is good, but I don't think this is a place to chill out with friends unless you just want a caffeine hit to go somewhere else to relax. The staff are friendly. Maybe they just need a place with more space.

Shimizu is a beautiful boutique florist situated in the quaint Old Town of Hastings, a must see if you are in the area, staff are lovely too!

This place sells the best coffee ever. John, the Barista, is passionate about blending and roasting his own coffee, and it really does show. Others have said this, and it's true - every other coffee will be a just little bit disappointing after one having coffee from here.

The best flat white in Hastings, and the owner is passionate about his own roasted beans so interesting visit - situated below The Laindons B&B but sadly not open on a Sunday

Artisan coffee roasted by the sea. Beware, If you taste this coffee, everywhere else will be a disappointment! Number 23 sets the bar very high, if you are coffee lover you will love this place!

This is a world class coffee bar in a very charming and unique setting. The Hastings old town has a collection of really interesting and creative businesses popping up, and this is a perfect example. The owner was really friendly and obviously committed to creating a really great experience for customers. Most importantly, the coffee is really really good. There is a B&B attached - I didn't see it but I suspect it would be great, given the quality of the coffee bar.

By chance I popped in for a coffee on a cold day whilst waiting for another shop to open. What a lucky chance. The coffee was very good, and the hipsterish surroundings were great fun. The food offerings looked good too.

We enjoyed the flavour of Coffee you had here, and the fact you could order a pack of coffee then watch it be roasted. So you know its very fresh.

This is definitely the place to go for a decent freshly roasted cup of coffee in Hastings ..... Just on the High Street ... Easy to find! They also serve a tasty brunch plate and pastries ;))

After living in Sydney Australia for sum year where they take there coffee very seriously, it was a lifesaver to move to Hastings to find 23.n0 where he (Jon) take his Coffee very seriously. not only dose he and his team make the best coffee in town he also roasts his own beans.

This little coffee shop is a local secret. Nestled high up in the old town street of High street many tourists miss it but they do so at their own loss. The owner, Jon, hand-roasts the beans on site and the result is some of the most smooth and delicious coffee you will ever enjoy. You can even take a bag away with you to enjoy at home. A great little find and for us definitely he best coffee in Hastings.

I went in for just a coffee and found that this was also a Bed & Breakfast. It has been most tastefully and uniquely decorated with care and attention to the small details.....lovely. The service was friendly and excellent. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I love coffee. No. 23 serves up the best brew you will find in Hastings. The proprietor Jon...really cares about the roasts he serves up, and he knows his coffee. Great atmosphere. Great prices. A great way to start your day in the old town of Hastings. If I lived there, I'd be stopping by No. 23 pretty much every day for a perfectly roasted and brewed flat white.

Found this coffee shop by chance and so glad I did. Situated adjacent to quirky and individual shops this place offered excellent coffee with great customer service - a winning combination for me!Well worth seeking out!

Best and most creative flower displays you will ever see, simply gorgeous.

Called in two days ago to while away a half hour and found it a lovely spot. A great range of coffee with some unusual varieties. Long tables made for a very friendly atmosphere. A limited selection of things to eat. It would have been nice to see a few cake/biscuit choices. Very friendly service.

We travel into Hastings nearly every week just to go to this great coffee house and enjoy wonderful coffee and a sincerely friendly atmosphere. The interior decor is of a high standard of design, complementing the wonderful period architecture of no 23. The coffee is roasted in-house. Its quality is outstanding.

Stopped outside for a quick coffee, sat on the lovely bench with warm rug on it. Great place to watch the world go by. Delicious coffee, comfy seat, what more do you need.

Just had a couple of macchiatos in this lovely cafe which is tucked away further up the High Street in the Old Town in Hastings. Definitely worth checking out. Very good coffee, pastries available, small but cosy, great decor and very friendly owners. A great find!

This is a wonderful coffee shop. Good things about it include: Jon, the owner, who is passionate and knowledgeable about the details of coffee-making. As previous reviews have said he roasts his own beans on the premises (you can sometimes hear the roaster turning the beans around in the background) and will happily chat to you about the ins and outs of the process. Jon also used to be a designer, which shows in the way the space has been set up. It's pretty small, but has a great feel to it - nice muted Farrow-and-Ball type colours, beautiful light from a large old shop-front window, nice long tables and little metal stools. Despite being small, this place has the details of a good coffee shop: water on the side so you can help yourself, a loo round the corner, free wi-fi. There's no hot food here (except toast), but a nice range of pastries and cereal, and occasionally some homemade cakes. I like it because it's a good place to sit and have a read, or work for a while and watch the locals pass by. It has great natural light, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and the coffee itself is spot on.

I truly could not believe the quality of the coffee at this small coffee bar. As Aussies, we take our coffee pretty damned seriously and oft despair at the paltry attempts at coffee in uk but OMG these guys have it just right.The barista was very friendly and knowledgeable with beans roasted freshly on the premises.GO TO THIS cafe if you want to know how good coffee can be. You'll have goose pimples for the rest of the day!!

No. 23 must serve the best coffee in Hastings and indeed Sussex, we've not tried any better. This cafe is pretty cool, but unlike a similar place in Brighton or London, the owners are very friendly, welcoming and unpretentious! If you haven't tried their coffee you really should as it's roasted on the premises and tastes fab!
