Didn't really feel cosy or have any atmosphere which are things I like from places serving coffee. Understand it to be very popular with its regulars, though, just not for me

Best coffee in town, and the least expensive. What more is there to say. Highly Recommended if your main interest in a coffee shop is the coffee.

Great cocktails, and best coffee in Hastings by far, the only place for coffee, so glad it is here and so easy to find.

Amazing julius Meinl coffee and the staff are nice. Interior is still in the process of being finished and no food is served; but still great just for the cheap coffee.

As all the other reviewers have noted, the coffee is excellent (I think it really is the best in town) and the owner is charming. There are also lovely food items for sale such as olive oil or pimiento dolce or delicious French biscuits......

Very good coffee! Excellent treats on sale to accompany your cuppa, such as classy marzipan chocolates. Also a very interesting small selection of unusual groceries ( including gluten free things not seen elsewhere, like brown rice noodles and a dried teff mix). Well worth popping in

Strayed in here on a rainy day and had a lovely coffee and a great chat with the owner and one of his customers. Very nice, very friendly.

I really enjoyed my iced coffee here. Friendly staff, walls lined with books (browse or buy), a sofa, a piano all help add to the relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

No hay otro lugar mejor para café en Hastings o calle Leonards en mi opinión. Y venden bolsas de las cosas buenas, y algunos chocolates finos, y el mejor que he visto alrededor de halva. Siempre amable y he tenido algunas conversaciones de buena calidad en este peculiar, joya de lugar. Última cosa, hay otros dos lugares en la ciudad cuyo café tan bueno, pero este viene de arriba por el precio; es de £1. 50 una taza! ! Lo recomiendo.

Fantastic coffee shop serving by far the best coffee in Hastings - and incredibly good value. I'm currently sitting here by the window on a Saturday morning reading the paper, listening to some cool jazz, and reading the house copy of the Guardian. Heaven.

Real ground coffee made with real coffee machine. Real hot chocolate, the thick one! When you just need a caffeine fix this is the place to go!

Excellent little shop that would be really busy if it was better located. In addition to great strong coffee and a fair selection of bakery goods, there are some quirky furniture bits and pieces for sale. Very friendly owner and coffee is half the price of the chains.

Me apareció en un café para llevar como l discontinua al banco en la lluvia torrencial. Este café sin duda bien llamo la atención... mismo creencia del stong, amplio sabor y ni una pizca de amargura. Me quedé muy impresionado l se detuvo a 2 llevar cafés en mi camino a casa. Por desgracia, el propietario no tenía leche de soya pero me senté con unos bombones mientras él discontinua a la tienda para la soja.Así que... vaya fuera de su camino por este café y servicio excepcional. Usted no será decepcionado.

Decided to try out the Grand Rue De Pera for a coffee. It is the best coffee I have tasted. I was also given a chocolate which was delicious. Staff were very friendly. They also sell a good selection of teas, coffee and other foods. I do hope the shop does well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very friendly and nice place. The owner of the coffee is very polite and welcoming, offers additional delicious chocolates & biscuits to accompany the coffee. Free wifi works seamlessly. The atmosphere is cool and you could feel free to read your book & magazine. But the most special of the place is as it serves really best coffee in town¡

I planned to have a coffee here only to find the shop was closed. A sign outside said it would be closed for 15 minutes.

A friendly place with a large range of drinks including lovely Turkish coffee, nice cakes and other bits & pieces. There's also a good range of fairtrade & organic jams, spreads, nuts and soaps for sale.
