Great meal for my best friends hen do and kareoke

We used the 1st floor at Bables for drinks and food after my son’s christening and they were amazing! The staff were so kind and friendly, they decorated the space with things that I brought and were so attentive throughout the whole time we were there. They made everything look amazing and nothing was too much trouble! Thank you so much. Would recommend them again and again if you’re looking for an intimate space to celebrate an event with friends/family. ❤️😊

Great place and with a visit. Great value for money. American platter was plentiful and tasted great. Peroni on tap and many drinks, inc cocktails/mocktails available.

We had a delicious charcuterie sharing platter, truffle fries, and waffle with fruit, syrup and whipped cream which 2 of us shared. We were served by Belle and Lilly who were both friendly and attentive. Recommend Babel's to all and we will be going again, prices were very reasonable.

I have been to Babels for Bottomless Brunch twice and highly recommend. Staff are friendly, cocktails flow freely and are very tasty and the food is delicious.

I love the cocktails here. A**** the decor inside is beautiful, especially upstairs. its nice to sit outside on a sunny day. I haven't eaten the food here so cannot comment. the staff are friendly. I recommend this bar!!

Bottom less brunch. Food could be better and more of a choice would be nice. Drinks are OK but after 2 cocktails they become very sickly as its more fruit juice then anything else.

Just stopped off for coffee with the family.Service was good, and the servers were friendly. It was really nicely decorated and pleasantly quiet. Would go back to check out the food - saw what a couple were eating and it looked very tempting.

my wife had her 60th birthday party here. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, the staff were absolutely fantastic, really efficient and it was fantastic value . Thank you so much to Amy and all of her team for making it such a wonderful evening.

Had a panini, sadly the worst I've ever had. It was soaked in fat and way too much balsamic vinegar. I'm writing this 4 hours later and still feeling queasy. No, I'm not fussy, I'll generally eat almost anything but this was truly awful. My one regret is that I didn't complain, my bad, I know. Edit. As the owner pointed out they don't do panini, we checked the menu, indeed, it was an open Italian BLT, which apparently is a ciabatta, however I couldn't tell the difference due to aforementioned vast quantities of oil. Apologies for the minor mix up. The rest I stand by.

Such a great find. Fantastic, comfy stylish location with great menu and drink options from a tea or beer or wine to small snacks to a perfect meal. We will definitely be back and can totally recommend the sharing platters. Child friendly too (we didn't have small people with us but table next door did and they loved their pancakes/waffles with syrup and fruit) Thank you!

Fantastic all you can drink buffet today at Babels. The food was hot and fresh. Plenty for the two of us, but the best was that the drinks never stopped coming. After the 2 hours we had all had plenty to drink and had a great time. I'd recommend them for groups of friends especially if you're celebrating a birthday or special occasion. Will be back to again. Entrance is disabled friendly and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

I wish I could rate this place higher. I went out for lunch with my wife in the hope of having a lovely lunch and a few cocktails. Arrived and went inside to asked if we were ok to sit outside. The waitress said sure, take a seat and I will be out in a minute. Then ten minutes later, still no service. Another pair sat at an outside table for two or three minutes and a waitress server them without even looking over to us. We left and walk down to a place called on the rocks! We had exceptional server, great cocktails and a lovely meal. The staff where fantastic!

My friend and I went for a light lunch and were absolutely delighted. Food looked amazing, tasted even better! Can’t wait to return for the Bottomless Brunch🤩

Lovely cocktails, friendly service, pretty decor, came here on Saturday, just a shame a loud party of lads ruined it for us so we only had one drink here. Would possibly return if the ambiance is better next time!

Called in for lunch during a day out in Hastings. Food and service good and the place is very cute. We had the Charcuterie sharer, which was nicely presented. My mocktail was lovely. BUT - the place was so cold! I was frozen by the time we left 😟👎

Myself and my partner are following a Keto diet and were incredibly impressed with the staffs ease to help us and accommodate requests to change the food. We had a delicious platter or cold meats, cheese, olives and nuts. The coffee was also delicious.

We came in and this was the only place that was not busy… should of taken that as a red flag… We ordered the avocado smash and the cauliflower bites. The avocado Smash was not made in sourdough like on the menu. It was a cheap white bread and I couldn’t taste anything but the chillies in it (I’m African and I have never tasted anything as hot!!) my husbands cauliflower bites were ok. We asked if they made any different sausages (lots of places do them now) and the girl inside just looked at us in disgust and shook her head in a disapproving way… I paid £7.95 for this avocado smash and got 1 slice of bread!!! Now we know that prices are rising, but this is just unacceptable! Reply to owner: Thanks for taking the time to reply to my review. Let me point out a few things for you: 1) I am entitled to make a review whenever I feel like it, I don’t have an obligation as a paying customer to get out of my seat to point out that my food was not prepared as described on the menu, also, the girl didn’t explain who the suppliers were as you insinuating with your reply. She said “yes, it is sourdough” nothing else. 2) you were literally empty, and there’s 2 of you in the cafe, ITS GOOD SERVICE to come out to your clients and ask them if all is ok, not the paying clients job! 3) when leaving I did point out that my food was not good. £7.95 for 1 slice of white bread (sourdough or not) with avocado smash that is so hot that your tongue becomes numb is quite frankly having a laugh! 4) I didn’t ask if you had alternative sausages, lol, I asked if you had any dog sausages because you are dog friendly and lots of places have them nowadays, definitely not warrants an eye roll. And yes, the lady in the till offered us dog treats, but I didn’t accept as my dog just won’t eat them. The suggestion stays, dog owners often pay to have them and they are a good little earner. 5) Finally, lots of your bad reviews have to do with service and pricing, so rather than becoming defensive and write back allocating the blame to the people that are actually PAYING for the service rather than reflect on it apologise and try to improve, just shows your lack of ability to take on criticism. Reviews should be used as a way for constant improvement. When you think that you nailed the service is when it goes down the drain! As advise (which you’ll probably ignore) next time, when the place is as empty as it was, make sure to really make the customer service better, it’s simple and if it was good I surely would not have left a bad review. What a shame that your arrogance spoke louder than your service. You had time to reply to this review 5 min after being written, why not have time to check on your clients experience while they are there specially if the place is empty? Would save you from having to use rubbish excuses to justify the bad service, specially when the review was fair for the service and over pricing of food. Wishing you luck.

This was last minute replacement and last minute opted for bottomless brunch. There was 10 of us with 1 not drinking due to pregnancy but everyone had to pay the alcoholic bottomless brunch! Been to a few bottomless brunch places this is the only place that had this restriction. With the set there’s a leaving alcoholic shot which the pregnant lady wasn’t allowed to order but was made to pay the full alcoholic price!!? Food was alright, served nicely at best. The setting was great and Gina was great in serving us, however the attitude we got from other girl wasn’t great as she had attitude on her from the get go. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

It was an absogem to find this place. We had a lovely lunch with pur three young children. Quality of the food is good and the servicw very friendly.

We were able to use the upstairs for my birthday event, absolutely amazing venue. Amy was lovely to deal with and so accommodating, we opted for a food buffet which was brought out during the evening nice and fresh, everyone would not stop commenting on how tasty and best buffet they have ever had. the nachos especially , there wasn't a piece of food left. thank you again for making my night so special, we all cant wait to come back for cocktails and food.

We went to Babels after reading some good reviews, we were utterly disappointed. The staff were friendly enough, the decor was nice, but the food was of a very low quality, probably Iceland frozen products as we had the American sharing platter. Kids would enjoy it, but at £17.95, we expected more. For the price charged you really need to up your game and put out quality food and have more of it as that was no way a sharing platter......shame.

They were recovering from Carnival when we visited so they didn't have everything we wanted but the staff went out of their way to find alternatives. Food and drinks of the highest quality and the staff are amazing. No complaints.

Quality locally sourced ingredients and a cosy setting on George Street. However, the chickpea and halloumi burger was a bit dry and needed some more flavour. I had expected better tasting food. Low 4.

We had a great time there as everything was gluten free and tasty. The portion of main courses were really big. We were struggled to finished it. The only downside was my fish was not completely cooked and can tasted that it was not quite so fresh. Everything else was good, specially the desert! The fish and chips was good too.

Good but can do better. Staff have been excellent though. Good selection of day’s specials but menu was a bit disappointing. Dishes were generous but not as tasty as expected from the reviews I have read. It is ok for the price.

George Street is terrific but sometimes the restaurants are just a bit too lively to sit and chat. Radley's was less busy than other venues nearby but it didn't deserve to be. The owners are clearly passionate about what they do and the food and service were great. We both ate fish which is especially good and we didn't select the restaurant because of it's gluten free status but this must be a god send for people who are intolerant.

Never felt so unwelcome sitting at an outside table. Rude staff make your business feel like a burden on them. Try literally anywhere else on George St for a nice warm welcome, but not here

Top marks for Radleys, found in the quaint George Street of old town of Hastings. I have been several times, excellent food & a warm welcome guaranteed, all cooked from fresh to order. But the best bit about this restaurant is the time and consideration that they take to cater for those who have high allergies or dietary requirements. Not an easy task to find a restaurant where I know my friends are safe & can relax with peace of mind.

4 of us booked and had lunch here on Sunday. Very good service and great food. As one of our group is celiac the real plus for us was, the understanding and full explanation of the menu by our waitress. Great location too :)

Loved it, food is wonderful, and everything on the menu being gluten free is a great thing for my girlfriend, who can't eat any. This does not compromise taste, in fact those I have eaten with here feel that the batter on the fish (when having fish and chips) is easily the equal of any gluten-containing batter. I had a game pie (it was a special that day) and the pastry was delicious, with the meat cooked just right.

Fantastic, fantastic place. I have coeliac disease but the rest of our party of four eat gluten. The whole menu is gluten free and they were all more than happy with their dishes; even saying they didn’t notice it didn’t contain gluten! I had the chicken burger with brioche buns - the best burger I’ve had since being diagnosed. We really wanted dessert but the generous portions didn’t leave space. Might have to go back tomorrow for a dessert lunch...! Thank you, from a very happy coeliac.
