Great pub and the food is out of this world. Always going to come back when we visit Hastings.

Friendly hospitable staff, excellent range of beers. Was lovely enjoying a drink outside the front of the pub in the sun watching the world go by.

Awesome is the only word for this pub :)

Great customer service and excellent food

Sadly we were only in Hastings for two night but so glad we stumbled on this jewel. A really friendly atmosphere with excellent choice of beverages. Entertainment from local poets and bingo if that’s your fancy. Seating is rustic and I’m sure busy in the warmer weather. Right on the doorstep of the fishing boats and old town. We just had to go back as it was so nice.

Great location overlooking the historic net shops. Sat outside in the February sunshine drinking Hophead. Perfect 👍

Lovely lunch with my cousins. The shrimps were delicious and food was served promptly and joy. The service was also quick

Went in for a few drinks for my sisters birthday. The staff were nice and friendly, though maybe a bit dim and dark in the pub itself.

Great pub, staff lovely. Food is great especially cod and chips, fish pie and fish stew. Beer is always good. Friendly atmosphere. Would I go there again YES. Dogs welcome.

Really great fish’n chips. Fish super tender, juicy and fresh. Great special offer on monday evenings - duper large portion for a pretty decent price (13,50€) including a drink. Really enjoyed the place.

Not happy with service. Went on Sunday hoping for Sunday lunch. Told sold out. Very clickey atmosphere, felt not wanted must be my London accent. Ended up with just a drink, shame as looked inviting from outside. Won't be back.

We had a great lunch here. Lovely welcome for us and water and treats for our dogs. Really good, fresh food and served quickly. Recommend the battered cod and chips and the crab sandwich with fries. Nice fresh salad with dressing as it should be served - in a separate dish so you can add your own. Perfect.

Lovely family run Pub, good food and best Guiness in Hastings.

Typical British pub, very good.

Went in with a young man I support. Food was fantastic, service great and friendly people in here. Because of his disability, the young man I support has issues with certain food so they catered for this with no issues, no drama.

Had a delicious clam chowder better than anything I have had in the USA. This was followed by sprats which were really hot which was lovely as usually they come warm. Service was very quick and price very good

Nipped in for a pub lunch. The muscles were delicious, the burger was a large portion and also very tasty. Shame I didn’t see the notice advertising the 3 x 1/3 pints of real ale tasters! Next time!

Stopped in cause it was pouring outside. Eaten here before but just wanted something small. Have whitebait starter and it was massive. Wife had hummus and said it was really great, came with celery and bread. Nice inside and locals were good value with their chat.

Just had a drink here but loved it. Hope to come back one evening for the live music!

A lovely traditional pub, one of my favourites. Always a great place to watch the world go by. Especially on sunny days.

Met up with friends 8 of us and we all said how good the food was. They were really helpful with my dairy intolerance and amending the fish dish for me so helpful thanks. Staff lovely and friendly would definitely recommend if in hastings.

Great place for a lovely bit of fish and chips.

Called in with our 2 little dogs, we were made very welcome and soon settled with a drink and ordered our food, we had the burger and crab Mac and cheese, the portions were large and the food was very tasty, We felt very welcome and the locals were all very friendly, Our only comment would be,, and it’s not a criticism was that the ladies toilet were quite cramped but clean and serviceable, Hope to return some day Thank you

It has a nice sunny beer garden but it's difficult to get a seat as it's always full.

Lovely Old Town pub with both traditional craft beers and regular draught beers and lager... Plus regular live music and a delightful external seating area where you can absorb the atmosphere of both the sea and the net huts... Busy in the summer..!!!!

Ordered mussles, clam chowder and smoked haddock chowder. Everything was SUPER delicious. It was the last day of my stay in Hastings and it was the perfect end-of-holiday meal.

Really love this pub and the Harvey’s is always amazing. The food was average unfortunately, the chef that was there before has obviously left which was a huge shame. Obviously we will come back but maybe not to eat.

Alfie (jason) is the best barman. 👌

Very nice lunch and good environment

I popped into the Dolphin for a Pint and a bite to eat. My intention was to have fish, but on their daily specials board was Lamb Shank, which I love, so I chose that. It arrived with mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans on the side, and a small jug of gravy. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and fell off the bone, and the mash and vegetables were also very tasty. Overall it was a great experience.

Popped in here for a pint and work a bit on the laptop after a long walk all day over the cliffs. Every staff member I met was friendly. Overall the service was outstanding. It's awesome u can get a 3rd of a pint taster paddle for the same price as any pint. Brilliant. The owner Laura came down to work, and serves customers, takes the rubbish out etc, she has a greta down to earth attitude to get involved at the same level as the rest of the staff (plus she is totally gorgeous). Overall I can't fault this place. Professional and great service in a proper authentic pub environment. Would highly recommend it and would be back for sure. Cheers

THE choice if you're looking for a good old British pub. Choice of ales is outstanding, food great, staff friendly and helpful - they know thier beers.

Was in town for the night and really wanted to try this pub as I've seen it from the outside when visiting Hastings with my family over the years and never had the chance, so glad I popped in, me and my wife settled down on a table and ordered a couple of drinks, the place had a great atmosphere and there was a live band on but sadly we had a table booked for dinner else where so had to leave before it started! Bit gutted as it was the sort of place you could spend the whole night at, will definitely be back and hopefully try to the food next time and maybe catch a live band.

The best little pub in the Old Town, and that's really saying something as there are some great pubs there! Great selection of ales, all well-kept, and fantastically friendly staff. Good food too, and live music at the weekend, which is always a blast!

Wonderful choice of real ales - a couple of my favourites that I hadn’t tried in years. The bar man was keeping the place immaculately clean - if you still have any COVID worries you could feel safe here. I was impressed.

We often go to the Dolphin Quiz nights and so were incredibly grateful when they offered to help after another local business badly let us down for a long booked wedding party. Laura one of the owners of the Dolphin explained that they don’t really offer exclusive hire, but very kindly made an exception for us. And what she produced was absolutely perfect in every way. The place was decorated beautifully, the attention to detail by her, Graham and other staff was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The food was supplied by Rob Hills who often does kitchen takeovers at the pub and was absolutely delicious - a selection of dishes from around the world. Our guests were blown away with many messaging us the day after to say it’s the best party they’ve ever been to. And we agreed with them! We really couldn’t have asked for anything more - it was an absolutely perfect evening that we’ll remember always. Thank you so much!!!

This pub is at the bottom of East Hill, the beginning/end of the walking routes out toward Hastings Country Park, Fairlight, Winchelsea, Rye Harbour direction. I had quality fish & chips and a couple of good Guinness here. I recommend the walking and the pub.

Friendly atmosphere (too many poorly controlled dogs for my liking but it is a dog friendly pub so I shouldn't complain) good food and well kept wine. Will probably return.
