Popped in for a lunchtime pint while paddling up the river Wey on a quiet sunny day. Perfect! Loads of outdoor space. 4 cask ales on tap and all the other stuff. Exactly what was required.
Wonderful atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. In particular Sandy who took the time to speak with the chef on our behalf and made sure our meal was perfect. The food was delicious in both taste and quality
Generally, this feedback is more about the hotel.& SPA. We had a spa & lunch booking not cheap at all. But the lunch was VERY limited, and most things cost extra ( it's not the same as last time we visited). A sandwich choice with crisps, not much else, no frills, no starter, no puds, no drink....pretty poor.
And the spa!! While the facilities were good as it's been modernised. And the massage was great.. a super lady very relaxing.
BUT the staff and service elsewhere were slapdash and careless. No planning or forethought had gone into our booking. When we booked our 50 mins massages for 2 of us and asked for them spaced out after our lunch, not as soon as we arrived after lunch. Well, they did just that booked us in immediately after eating.
The young desk staff and apparent Customer Service Manager didn't care. Just repeated themselves parrot fashion instead of offering customer service.
Brooklands Spa has gone downhill in terms of service. And I will advise people to avoid it at all costs. Even if you get a deal. Young, inexperienced staff manage your booking and apparent people steal products!! So they need your credit card before you begin. It's more like visiting Croydon than Weybridge. A sad decline of what used to be a pleasant place once upon a time.
My partner and I came out a little while ago for a little date to watch the rugby.
I learnt when we arrived that their cocktail menu is very bare. (DONāT come, if youāre coming for cocktails - even the basics ones! also NO food being served even though the website says they do!)
I made my disappointment clear to the very young looking bartender about not having any cocktails. He said he could make me an off menu āspecialā cocktail he learnt while he was living in Africa. It was special type of customer service I had never experienced before! My partner had a very fine New Zealand Savvy B.
All negatives aside, the pub is very affordable for it being in the centre of Weybridge, cozy decor and both were staff were excellent. They also have a pool table at the back!! Donāt see that too often nowadays.
Recommend if youāre ever in the weybridge area and in need of some cheap booze!
Such a lovey pub with great service! Becks and Sienna were so attentive and brought so much energy - weāll be back. See you soon! Thank you for looking after us!
Disappointing Easter Sunday visit for brunch.
First choice from menu not available so smashed avocado was chosen.
Avocado was unripe cubes on cold sourdough with undercooked poached eggs.
Hot drinks were lukewarm warm and the restaurant only had a couple of tables besides us so no excuse for bad service from the kitchen.
Wonāt be returning which is a shame as it used to be a lovely venue for brunch .
Booked for lunch x4. Was quite busy when arrived but empty when came to pay bill. Nobody came to arrange bill or ask if anyone wanted coffee etc. Slow service throughout the meal when we needed to order. Food was good, staff polite but thought it couldve been better service as there were alot of young staff on. A few were friendly and smiling. As with all restaurants now, young people are the main servers. But they all lack alot of table manners and customer service. That's down to management training .. or lack of.
Bland food, poorly presented. Never seen a Spanish omelette like this in my life but was made to feel like Iāve never eaten out before by the waitress. Grossly overpriced
On a horrid rainy New Year's Day I went into Eight with three friends for my birthday. Daniel & his team were absolutely lovely & made me feel special & really spoilt me. The food was delicious & the customer service outstanding. Thank you for a lovely time & a happy new year to you all.
Great greek restaurant the food is excellent with a large selection and cooked perfect the staff are also brilliant and great value for money and excellent atmosphere well worth a visit
Very cosy and good atmosphere. Friendly staff and amazing food!
I had a tempura bento box and avocado maki. My partner had chicken udon, cucumber maki and gyozas. We also had some miso soup on the side. We loved everything and will definitely be returning soon š„°
(The plates and bowls were beautiful too!)
A cosy juice bar with a great mix of menu items. I enjoyed delicious over night oats with apple for breakfast washed down with organic juice mixes . I wish I lived closer to enjoy this more regularly
