I had an extremely delicious meal there with my wife just over two weeks ago. We had croquets and prawn fritters as a starter and then the grilled pork ribs and the octopus with grilled tender stem broccoli. As a desert we had a rich chocolate mousse with sour cherry molasses. Every single part of the meal was superb and the service was really good too. It was the best meal we had for some time.

Have visited many times and generally the food and service does seems to be ok. However last night the food was very mediocre and the kids meals were laughable. The kids chicken nuggets and chips kids meal came with 3 nuggets and about 10 chips. It made my 11 year old very upset. The kids cheeseburger wasn’t much better but luckily my 7 year old wasn’t much better. Please just charge me an extra £1-£2 and given them something proper to eat. Having spent £130’on an evening meal to then have to feed them again at home doesn’t leave me ruching to hi again.

if you are looking for an upmarket pub with more-than-decent tapas, and you fancy coming to Hampton Court area, this is well worth a visit. Smart decor, well trained staff and reasonably priced given the ambience and Jose Pizarro quality. We had a few smaller tapas portions - prawns, patatas, patron peppers - all nice. Mains we had the ribs and burgers. The latter were far more succulent. The roasted veg paella was far too salty to enjoy. Sticky toffee pudding was quickly gobbled. The bar is very well stocked, with a fab zero alcohol draft lager. Shout out to Sanah for the friendly and prompt service, and for the team for welcoming us for a lovely dinner. About 10 mins walk from Claygate station (30 mins from Waterloo).

Fabulous evening celebrating my husbands 50th birthday with our family at the Swan. Hugh’s team were simply fantastic, making all of us feel so welcome on arrival and nicely attentive throughout the meal. Lovely atmosphere in the garden restaurant, great selection of wines and the food was first rate, every dish tasty and well thought out. Some favourites included the jamon which simply melted in the mouth, the pane con tomate, the prawn fritters with lemon aioli, and the pork ribs. Wish we could eat here every night!

Range of tapas included Jamon (OK, not the best I've had), Bread and Oil (it is what it is), Scotch Egg (very good), Jamon Croquettes (good), Grilled Prawns with Chilli (Excellent), Patatas Bravas (horrible, Hellmann's Mayo with a red sludge - sent back), Burger (poor tasteless), Churros (Chocolate sauce nice, churros hard and over cooked). Asked for extra bread to mop up the prawn chilli oil told they don't do bread by itself and if you wanted more bread you had to order the bread and oil again?!! Told the waitress that was ridiculous, she came back and said the chef would allow bread at a price, we passed. Clearly, this is another place with a celeb chef's name above the door who is rarely in the kitchen overseeing things (appreciating his other two places in Borough Market, TV and other commitments) . Overall, the not so good overshadowed the good. Not worth the money spent.

Very disappointed. We are from Spain and live in London, and we were curious about this restaurant because what we read in the news. We ordered several supposed Spanish dishes. The croquetas were too oily, the bread with tomato was frozen cold, the calsots where not enough cooked and the chuleton was more a bit of carpaccio! and with mash potato?? every Spaniard knows what a CHULETON is, big, juicy, thick, a wonderful piece of meat, etc... and THAT was NOT, only the price was of a Chuleton...:-( You can fool the "locals" but not the Spaniards.

Brilliant evening at the Swan. Live Spanish guitar music and tapas. All the food was freshly cooked, paella especially good (we cook and are fussy). We visit most weeks, staff are efficient but friendly. One time there was only one lady to serve everyone, she just got on with it professionally. I appreciate the staff doing extra cleaning when they have time (chandeliers etc). Thank you Swan staff.

Really enjoyable evening with friends. The tapas was tasty and plentiful and the service from Ella exceptional. She was so helpful and knowledgable about every item on the menu, making the decisions so much easier. She had excellent people skills and was super friendly (even laughed at my husband's terrible jokes - NOBODY does that!). Her colleagues were also wonderful and I wish every outlet focused on customer service as much as José Pizarro's place at The Swan. We'll definitely be back soon. Thanks Ella.

Incredible tapas, beautifully fresh flavours, the most amazing anchovies, and great service. Only disappointment was a lack of much in the way of beers but that's not really what this place is aiming for - it's not really a pub despite how it appears.

I have to start by saying that the only Pizarro place I'd been to before was the restaurant in Bermondsey. It's probably my own fault for not checking, but I assumed that the Swan would have a similar menu. It didn't. The menu was almost all tapas. There were a few bigger dishes, but two of the three were for sharing and the third, Norwegian cod and chips, was the only one for one person - and I was eating alone. The fish looked good on other people's tables, but I don't go to a Spanish restaurant to eat English style fish and chips. Having said that, the tapas were very good and I sampled a good number. The tortilla was a little bit dry, but that might be my fault because when I was asked how I liked it - runny, medium or well done - I said medium. The prawn fritters were delicious, so much so that I had them twice. I tried two different salads: a tomato salad with salmorejo dressing, which was wonderful and a green salad which was a bit of a disappointment. It had very little dressing. The padron peppers were very tasty and the helping was quite generous. I love boquerones and these were good ones. I was curious about the harissa and lamb scotch egg. it was tasty and came with celeriac, but I don't think I'd have it again. On the first night I ordered what I thought was the pulpo, octopus, but what I received was the pluma, grilled pork. The friendly waitress offered to swap it, but I kept it, thinking that I'd have the pulpo the following day. But the pluma was quite delicious and I had it the next day as well. The wine list is quite small and the markup is quite high. The desert menu was also quite small, but there were several things that appealed. The chocolate pot with extra virgin olive oil and salt was delicious and larger than I thought it would be. I will be trying to make it at home. I had it with an espresso martini, which was something quite new to me, and absolutely heavenly. At lunch I had strawberry and vanilla ice cream with mandarin sorbet - lovely. On the second night I decided to have cheese. This came in small or large, with little biscuits and quince. There was supposed to be compote, but none appeared. There were three cheeses - manchego, picos blue and a third one whose name I can't remember. They were good, but came in very small portions. Service was very good. I think I'll try more of the London Pizarro places before making my way back to Esher.

The train strike meant a last minute change of venue, which turned out to be a real bonus! The classic look of an English pub belies the authenticity of the tapas served there. The food was superb! Excellent service and the food was outstanding, people who don’t value good food and good service will say it is expensive, but we felt it was good value and well worth it. We shared 6 dishes, the chicken chillie croquettes contained gristle, pardon peppers were greasy, sour dough bread appeared stale, shrimp was fried to the crisp in shells, I did try to peel the shells off but gave up, maybe you are supposed to eat the shell too?? Meatballs were passable, patatas bravas was the best dish of them all! This with 2 beers and a glass of vino tinto came to over £70 but it’s Esher and you pay Esher prices which is fine if the standard is good, which it is not!

We went for a Valentines Day meal. The atmosphere was good; the staff were friendly but we would have preferred them to wear masks. We had a glass of the Cava and a bottle of the Mo Salinas Tinto which were excellent. The prawn fritters...

Nice food but very overpriced. It would have been nice to find the advertised iberico ham in the croquettas, though. As we were a large party (10) we were put in an upstairs room. Awful. A bland dull room with either not enough light or...

Discounting the monosyllabic barman and the creepy waiter who tried to direct us to a more expensive wine when we asked for ‘house wine’ (he behaved once he realised we were no mugs) the food was actually very good. The place is though, anonymous and...

Me and my wife came to the Swan inn to Jose Pizarro’s Spanish gourmet Tapas restaurant and we had seven of the best options on the menu and all I can say is that it is the best Tapas presented in a gourmet style that...

I'm not a big tapas fan - always seems a messy concept to me. I do believe this to be the case but, if you have plumped for a tapas experience, this is one of the best you are likely to get. The quality of...

Came here last night with friends, it was a first visit for us! Atmosphere was great from the get-go as was the service. Only thing that let this down was the quality of the food, two of our dishes were luke-warm at best but being...

Excellent evening out. Our server (Jamie or Jason??) was so helpful in choosing. Great choice. Some of the dishes are typical Spanish and others are AngloSpanish. So a good mix. Sat outside even on an October evening and it was cosy and warm with the...

We had visited here once in the late summer and had eaten outside in the garden area and we wanted to return and see what it was like inside the pub. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. It was the busiest point of the Saturday evening when...

The pork ribs were delicious. We had a variety of dishes all were good. The Spanish omelette was also memorable. Lacked atmosphere for a Saturday lunch very quiet and we had booked at the only time available!

We had a lovely Saturday night dinner at The Queen’s Head in Weybridge yesterday. I chose the Chalkstream Trout, whilst my partner had the venison. We then both chose the same dessert, the pistachio soufflét, which was excellent. We must also give a shout out to our waitress, Jolie, who was brilliant. We can highly recommend dining at The Queen’s Head.

My partner and I came out a little while ago for a little date to watch the rugby. I learnt when we arrived that their cocktail menu is very bare. (DON’T come, if you’re coming for cocktails - even the basics ones! also NO food being served even though the website says they do!) I made my disappointment clear to the very young looking bartender about not having any cocktails. He said he could make me an off menu ‘special’ cocktail he learnt while he was living in Africa. It was special type of customer service I had never experienced before! My partner had a very fine New Zealand Savvy B. All negatives aside, the pub is very affordable for it being in the centre of Weybridge, cozy decor and both were staff were excellent. They also have a pool table at the back!! Don’t see that too often nowadays. Recommend if you’re ever in the weybridge area and in need of some cheap booze!

I really miss the place that did a roast in a massive Yorkshire pud as you walked into the services. That was some time ago now! Always busy here, a popular stop but nice food options and clean toilets.

Disappointed. Walked in and it smelt funny. Tea pot filthy. Coffee bitter. Didn’t drink and walked away to Mada Deli up the road.
