Came here for a Sunday Roast. First time in a couple of years. Not the best I have to say. We should have stuck to the normal menu and eaten downstairs by the lake. We walked into the upstairs restaurant where you have Sunday lunches and the first thing I saw was a fly flying round the salmon! Starters were very average. Some dishes had dried up by 2pm. The roast was barely warm and there was no greens. Only 2 veg. Cauliflower cheese and a sweetest and carrot mix. We had to ask for something green and they served us a few green beans. Pudding was OK with a few different options. Coffee was stone cold. Won't rush back. Plenty of other places to go for £40 per head!

Took my husband to the golf shop and lunch for his birthday. The restaurant is described as having “picturesque views of the lake” well this is the true view! Absolutely filthy, weeds that have been growing for weeks and just dirty. I can not believe management at this prestige club have not noticed!

I have always wanted to go here, I naively thought that being in an affluent area and at a golf course of all places the beautifully situated Inn on the Lake would be a bit special. We went for our anniversary brunch on a rainy day so although the outdoor seating area did look nice we had to eat indoors. We were quite shocked to find sticky tables, sticky menus and zero ambience. It resembled a half empty Wetherspoons at best. My orange juice was room temperature and from a long life carton in a dirty glass. We were asked for our drinks order twice and then for our food order twice. And then for the first time in probably the past 10 years we had to put our card behind the bar to open a tab?? In 2024!!! The food was just okay, but we were in and out in just over half an hour. The nicest part of the experience was the toilets which seemed newly refurbished. I strongly advise you refurbish the restaurant next!

Went for drink and dinner but didn’t have dinner as too much rubbish flying about. Admittedly there was a school prom going on but really someone should have a check to see what is happening around them.

We hosted a charity ball in the Lake Suite at the Inn on the Lake and it was a fabulous night! Vickey and all of the team were attentive and engaging. Vickey was our main contact and worked hard to ensure all our requirements were fulfilled. She was responsive to emails and we felt in safe hands in the lead up to the event and on the evening itself. The food was tasty, hot and the portions a good size. The only thing we would change would be to host the event in the summer months when we could make more use of the balcony to take in the beautiful views of the lake and to extend the event by an hour so we could have more time dancing! Thank you again!

I’m a very usual customer and absolutely love the place, although today I’m not very impressed as this is very unusual. As we come in, everything is running smooth until my son takes a bite out of his crossoint and finds out it’s rock solid and stale! We took it back and they compensated us with x2 cinnamon rolls that were literally 4cmx4cm. What put me off was, they kept the crossoint in the jar and kept serving them, I was disappointed how I spent 7.50 on this tiny crossoint all alone and the customer service was not the best. I will be giving Silvermere another chance as it’s never like this but I’m not impressed.

I needed to organise an evening meal and drinks in a private dining room with projector and screen for a live webinar for customers. The whole evening was excellent. The room was set up exactly as agreed before I arrived even though I was over an hour early. The projector and screen were of good quality and the projector linked in seamlessly with my laptop computer. The food was superb and the team looking after us were excellent. They were very considerate of the fact that we were watching a live webinar whilst eating our dinner and they served the food and cleared away the plates between courses with the minimum of disturbance. I am happy to recommend this venue.

I had my 50th birthday party here and it was the most amazing night! Vickey, Abbie, Georgina and all of the team were the absolute best! Vickey was my main contact for the event and she was fantastic. Very attentive to anything I needed and helping me to ensure that we planned something that everyone would enjoy - and they did! The food was amazing, the atmosphere, I couldn't fault a thing. Given the opportunity I'd happily have another event there. I highly recommend!

Hired the Rydal Suite for work Christmas party. Great venue, perfectly decorated. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend for similar events and will definitely be looking to book next year!

This was our third year of enjoying the Christmas festive meal at Silvermere Inn on the Lake. We were a party of 18 all with different dietary requirements but the team were so helpful and accommodated us all, even with some last minute changes. Service was wonderful, food was beautifully presented, tasty and hot with enough choice if we didn’t want the traditional Christmas food. The building was nicely decorated for Christmas. A lovely start to our festivities.

We held a celebration of life/ wake here, and whilst this is not the most joyous of events to arrange or even think about arranging the team at Silvermere were amazing and we cannot thank or praise them enough for not only looking after us all on the day, but meeting our every need in accommodating what we wanted, including room décor and set up. Before, during and after all the team were amazing, service and food was first class, professional but also empathetic and caring and everyone was made to feel comfortable and as relaxed as one can be on such a day.

Highly recommend Silvermere for your evening celebrations. We had our Christmas Party here and it was a fabulous evening. From the booking with Vickey, who was amazing with all my queries and always got back to me promptly, to all the staff on the evening. Especially Sam and Henry but including bar staff and security. The food was beautiful, service fast and all our meals were nice and hot. Everyone had an amazing time and great fun with the photo booth. Well done to all.

Our Choir of 65 enjoyed a superb (early!) Christmas lunch on the 22nd November. From the first enquiry to the conclusion of our event we could not have asked for more. The ever helpful staff endured my many calls and texts as members selected - then re selected - their menu choices. The many dietary needs were always met with ease. On the day, the room looked lovely, the staff were friendly and professional and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I arranged an event for our entire organisation at this venue. Vickey Hewitt was AMAZING! I cannot recommend her enough. From start to finish her communication has been on point. She has helped with every question efficiently and tailored a package to suit our budget given that we are a charity. Her team at the venue were superb. Big shout out goes to Shannon and another gentleman who helped us with all the tech (projector, Bluetooth, sound system etc) They went above and beyond to make sure our day ran as smoothly as possible. The food was excellent (we opted for a jacket potato bar complemented with a selection of salads) which suited all our dietary requirements. All in all a fantastic venue for any event with an even better team of staff to help with all your needs. Thank you to Vickey, Abbie, Shannon and all of the staff who helped with our day. We appreciate it.

We came here as a family for lunch. The quality of food is shocking. Avoid! You’d get something nicer tasting probably from Iceland, that was shoved in the microwave. The vegetables were soggy, the roast potatoes even were inedible (tasted dry, processed and like they’d been initially microwave cooked and then likely reheated several times). Then the meat, the beef entirely slimy and chewy, with a really horrible taste. I actually removed it from my mouth, as it was so unpleasant. All laced with too much salt as well. I left the whole plate as it was so awful. I’m usually fairly unfussy, as is my husband, and would usually just finish it - but this was beyond horrible. The worst part too, is the price! It’s a disgrace to charge £20 for a meal that tastes worse than the cheapest, processed, mass-catered canteen food. Left hungry and out of pocket. Shame on you. Ps The waiter was fairly rude too and forgot to bring our kids’ drinks.

Sunday roast was luke warm. Both beef and pork were tough, had to ask for a steak knife. Really worried as we have booked our Christmas meal with family? Manager refunded our money. I think they really need to look at their meat supplier!

What has happened ? New chef, new suppliers? So so, disappointed. Been eating here for years, always amazing food, Sadly the fish and chips are not as amazing as they used to be. Dry over cooked chips , hake ? awful texture and tasteless. Would rather pay a little that leave the food as we did. Perhaps it is also time to change the oil.

We had our wedding here in May 2023 and it was honestly the most amazing day. The venue is just stunning; the ceremony room that overlooks the lake, the island for drinks reception, so many places for gorgeous photos. The service from the events team is exceptional. Abbie is an absolute superstar. Nothing is too much trouble for her, she guides you through everything but always making sure its exactly what you want. They made planning our day so easy. Would highly recommend this venue.

We have an annual reunion of retired staff and we have used Silvermere for several years. The location, food and staff have always been first class and we will return next year. Excellent value and extremely beautiful location.

We had our Daughter's wedding at Silvermere Inn on the Lake on 26th August 2023 and it has been described by our family and all our guests as "the perfect day". I am the Mother of the Bride, but was also the chief Wedding Planner! We wanted to create a very small, intimate, bespoke wedding with lots of very personal touches - to combine the legal requirements of a civil Registrar's ceremony followed by an Indian Hindu service. I looked at various venues, and whilst all of the other 4 venues were friendly, polite and informative, my very first call with Vickey felt very relaxed and gave me the impression that anything was possible. Vickey took the time to go through the various options for dates, times, menus and everything in between. She put me at complete ease with her calm and friendly manner, and was able to answer the dozens of questions I was throwing at her with charm and ease. She followed this up with emailing me with a brochure and related price lists. there was no pressure from her whatsoever , just complete reassurance that should I need any further help with answering even more questions, it would be no problem. She ended by wishing me all the luck in finding the right venue for the kind of wedding we wanted. My daughter and (now) husband went to visit all the venues I had made appointments with, but like me, they absolutely fell in love with Silvermere, primarily because of its location, ambiance - but more importantly the helpful and friendly staff. On this occasion they met with Abbie Barrow - and just like Vickey, Abbie showed the same level of excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. She is extremely efficient in what she does makes things look so much easier than they actually are with her calm approach. There was no hesitation that Silvermere would now be our confirmed venue. During the months that followed I engaged with both Abbie and Vickey regularly with face to face meetings, emails and talking over the telephone - and each and every time they showed a huge interest in this very unusual wedding and it was obvious to see they were just as excited in putting the arrangements together as much as we were. As a customer this is invaluable when the venue want to do everything possible to ensure our day not only went smoothly, but was exactly as we had wanted. Being Hindus, we wanted to incorporate some of our food and culture into the day. Although they had never experienced this before, Abbie went away and spoke with her Management staff and the chef to ensure we could have the menu that we wanted. Everything I had asked for: table settings, name places, gifts, decorations music for both ceremonies, was handled with meticulous attention to detail and great care - and as it says in the title of this review, it turned out to be the "perfect day". Almost 3 weeks on and we are still getting wonderful comments on how beautiful the wedding was. Lots of our friends have said this is the type of "fusion" wedding and venue they would like, and as a result of attending our wedding, they have said they will be highly recommending this venue. I have no hesitation in saying do not be surprised if you get further enquiries for Hindu weddings at your venue! Abbie and Vickey, on behalf of all our family I cannot thank you enough - I could never have pulled this off without you. Your constant reassurance that "everything will be alright" got me through a very stressful (but thoroughly enjoyable) time. Abbie, thank you also for constantly checking on me throughout the day to ensure I was OK - You had so much to deal with, yet always made time for me which was very touching. I cannot recommend Silvermere more highly as a wedding venue. My 81 year old mother married her long term love last Saturday. 120823. Venue was sublime but more importantly, the staff were attentive and kind. Everybody had a wonderful time and I cannot thank the staff enough. Thank you for making a special occasion so perfect.

This place is in such a stunning location with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the lake. This is the 3rd time I’ve been for lunch and every time I’ve been disappointed with something. We booked a table and chose one outside. Lovely polite waiter bought the menus. The menu online is NOT the same menu you get once there. There were so many dishes I fancied that were not on the menu once at the restaurant….but…we went in to order. Young guy inside took the order. We asked for two hot minute steak ciabatta with rocket which came with chips and salad. We got two cold roast beef rolls with mayonnaise and cucumber!! This was changed after some debate to the hot steak ones but the rolls were cold and doughy. Why have such a lovely place and then not serve up decent food and why have staff at the front of house that don’t take the orders correctly in the first place. I really hate to write this and complain but seeing as this is the third time I’ve had similar problems I felt compelled to.

Called in here for lunch, we had booked a table. We sat outside for a coffee before the meal but when we came in to eat our reserved table had been given away. With a bit of faff we got another table and ordered. We had The lamb burger, two chicken burgers and the gammon and eggs, not too bad though the lamb burger was somewhat burnt. I decided to have a coffee after visiting the golf shop. The place was busy, it was Sunday morning and there were just two girls trying to serve everybody, both inside and outside. I waited a long time to order coffee which when it came was very nice. However, I noticed that the waitress was returning food to the kitchen from a table. Admittedly the girls were very apologetic. Absolutely stunning and amazing venue. My partner and I had our wedding here on Saturday 29th July, it was truly special. Abbie and her team made sure everything was perfect leading up to the wedding, as well as on the wedding day! We had so many compliments from our family and friends about the venue and the food.
