My absolute favourite restaurant, great vibes, great energy, great staff, Simon and Andrea are amazing people, so friendly and welcoming, the whole night is always fun from start to finish, the food selection is amazing, I've visited this restaurant on many occasions and recommend it to everyone, I always look forward to my next visit :) BEST NIGHTS AS ALWAYS

Fantastic food big portions and delicious. Vegetarian and Halal options can be arranged too. Simon , Andreaa and his staff can't do enough for you they work hard to ensure everyone is contented. We took a group of 40 there yesterday we had a really enjoyable night out . Our go- to party place. And it's great value !

THE WORST DINNER EXPERIENCE EVER My family booked a table for my 70th birthday and it proved to be the most appalling evening. The service was beyond terrible: we sat down at 1920, the starters were served 45 minutes later!!!! The main courses took a further 1 hour and 10 minutes so it took 2 hours to get our main courses!!!! The food was very poor, I am Greek and a runny moussaka and some chicken thighs are not acceptable. Also,when did falafels became a Greek dish? Beyond bad. After finishing the main courses we decided to have the desert and leave that dreadful place but we were told that we have to wait an hour for the desert!!! You cannot make it up As for the Greek music and dancing this is what we got: A random guy appeared wearing a wig, ran around the restaurant smashing5-6 plates and then a Greek song came on. The waiters grabbed few customers from the tables, jogged around the tables (believe me it was not Greek dancing) and after the ONE Greek song ended the rest of the evening we had Viva Espana !!!(it is a Greek restaurant) Rocket Man (???)and other songs but not a single piece of Greek music. It is also important to point out that the tables were very close to each other for large groups so we were constantly pushed and elbowed as people were trying to get through. The noise was incredible, virtually impossible to have a conversation so we decided to leave without our desert to escape the worst restaurant environment ever. I am Greek and it takes a lot to criticise a Greek restaurant but my advice is if you want to enjoy Greek food, Greek music, Greek hospitality and customer care, this is NOT the restaurant for you. Great birthday celebration for my husband, we ranged in age from 5 to 75 and everyone loved it. Staff were amazing and food was lovely.

Amazing evening had a blast. Can't wait to go back and have already made plans to do so. Fabulous staff who all made it just that bit more unforgettable 😀

Well, it was five stars whilst Stelios and Andreaus were running it, the minute it was taken over, it went downhill big time. You don't threaten customers to "take it outside" for what was quite clearly a fight. Uncouth patrons being allowed in, tanked up and then either throwing up or relieving themselves in residences gardens. Thank God the restaurant has moved, our sincere sympathies for the people of Wallington, Good Luck

Had our Xmas party here and it was amazing. Food was incredible, staff went above and beyond and hardworking. Dancing smashing plates wow, just an incredible night 💯. Our daughter’s 18th was an amazing night. Fantastic atmosphere, food, music, coupled with possibly the most attentive staff I have ever experienced. Could not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you so much to all the staff at Greek Vine for an incredible night!!!

If you are looking for somewhere to take a group of friends for a meal and entertainment and you enjoy great Greek food you have found the right place. The seating was a little tight but we were a group of 27 and accepted the little squeeze, that said there was enough room. With the wine flowing the meze began with a selection of dips and bread and moving swiftly on to mains. An excellent selection of meat dishes, moussaka and vegetables. In the background you are listening to some great music. Suddenly the music volume increases to authentic Greek music and the plates start to smash. A spectacle of the staff dancing round the tables encouraging the guest to join them which they did. Each group in the restaurant were given there name in lights with an explanation of their celebration. The whole evening was well orchestrated and really pleasant and you were made to feel special. My thanks to the team who worked so hard. If you have not been, you are missing out.

I really don't understand why some people have given bad reviews for this place. We went with two other couples on Friday and had a fab time. Food was nice, so again I don't understand the criticism! For just over £22.95 for Greek mezes what exactly are people expecting?! It was nice food and we had plenty to eat. The courses were very well spread out between the entertainment/dancing and absolute craziness (so fun!). My impression with some of these bad reviews is that people were clearly clueless about what they were booking! The waiters are very friendly, provide an excellent service and make sure the evening is a success. Hats off to all the staff at the greek vine! Yes the music is cheesy and that's all part of the fun! I have zero complaints and can't wait for an excuse to go back again! Thank you for making my birthday night out so fun!

Based on the name of the restaurant there was no greek food served! Frozen food, Microwave vegetables, potatoes The service was terrible! You pay one price, enter @ 7pm thinking food will come when you order, instead buying overpriced drinks to pass the time until they start serving food after 9pm. Watching a show of people come out partly drunk from weather spoons next door joining in plate smashing, trying to do some kind of Greek dance in a line. They play a few Greek tape tunes, whilst the rest is all good English music you would find at Butlins. I wanted to get up & leave, the friends wife wanted to stay for the show, we did say to take money of for the food at the end but the South African owner & chef says no one leaves here without paying. So in a way we felt a little sorry for him, bit our tongue & all decided to never go back there.

Brilliant restaurant, always great atmosphere snd good value food . Loved it went with family and friends a group of 20 and every one had a fab time

Bad bad bad bad bad dry tasteless food. This is not Greek food, this is not Greek culture. Go if all you care about is walking over smashed plates, laughing at "silly Greek dancing" and overpaying for cheap alcohol. And if you do have to go, my advice is to fill up on the bread.

Celebrated my 60th with family and friends. Great food, Great entertainment. Great staff. Simon and his wife are so lovely. Make you feel so special. Will definitely be back

We had a fab night celebrating our Grandsons 18th Birthday food was yummy staff were great and entertaining they made sure everyone had a fun night. My Granddaughter had some special dietary needs nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward the next celebration ! Thank you all. The only minor thing I would say is shame there is not room for a dance floor .

* I sent an email on the 22/01/2023 requesting a booking for 5ppl on the 10/02/2023 * I received a reply from Simon the next day saying they could accommodate us for that date at £22.95 per person for the set 3 course meze menu & would require a £10 deposit per head to secure. * I paid a deposit of £60 (my mistake) on the 27/01/2023 On the evening of the 10/02/2023 I explained that our booking was ment to be for the 5 of us, they removed the 6th chair & place setting. I didn't think too much of it then & we set off to enjoy our meal & time there. My wife & I also partook in the festivities....the atmosphere was great, as was the food, drinks & service. Shortly after finishing our mains, my daughter's boyfriend turned up as he was giving her a lift home & this was when things turned from bad to worse!!!!! We asked if it would be possible for them to bring a chair for him & if perhaps something for him to drink. We were then told that it he could if he paid the full price of £22.95 & then they would bring him his food (perhaps they were thinking he was the missing 6th person?) regardless, this was a ridiculous request as we had all practically finish our meal & were just waiting for the final desert. My daughter's boyfriend was talking to some of the staff before I got there. This was when the manager intervened & told the young man to leave as he'd didn't want him there. I asked what was the reason for this & was told that he was being abusive to the staff!!!! I can vouch for him & say that he definitely is not like that (there is a difference between stating one's case & abusive behaviour) I did say to the manager that he'd come to collect my daughter & perhaps was just a bit early in doing so. At this point my whole family had left the premises & were standing outside. After I had checked on them, I went back in & immediately asking if I could settle my bill? Without us even finishing our meal. When presented with the bill & to my astonishment, I saw that they had discounted it with just -£50 & not the £60 that I had incorrectly deposited!!!! Normally I would have just overlooked it, but chose not to this time.... the manager was called to sort this out & in my viewpoint, he did so reluctantly. In this case - The customer isn't always right

My Daughter had her hen do here. The staff worked so hard serving food, drinks and dancing too. We had an amazing night, it was a fantastic atmosphere and the staff really made it a fun evening. They even catered for my gluten free diet. I would highly recommend

Fantastic evening. Amazing food a great selection in the mezze- really delicious and plentiful. They were happy to bring more of the things you loved. It was a fantastic party night - fun for everyone. The waiting staff worked so hard to make sure everyone had a great time. Great music to dance to. Waiting staff led Greek dancing and plate smashing. They make a fuss of any celebrations and make the person feel really special. You could not find a more fun evening anywhere.

I have been here quite a few times with different people. My favourite restaurant by far!! Everything is perfect. The Manager is lovely and welcoming as are his lovely friendly staff. Great atmosphere and amazing food!! 10/10 all round.

Simon the owner was very rude condesending and aggresive to a group of female diners last night. When we mentioned how long it took for our first drinks to arrive Simon was arrogant in his insulting remarks indicating that we were alcoholics . We definetley wont be returning for his bland oily poundland Greek food. I wish I could say that his food tasted like crap, but it was so bland I cant even say that about it. I pity his staff because if he talks to paying customers like he did to us . God knows how he speaks to his staff. Only visit if you enjoy long waits for drinks and have the form of long covid that has left you with no sense of taste. Smashing plates and some music of a now thats what I call greek hits does not make up for the rest of evening

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. Went here in a Friday evening, the staff were beyond lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and tasted just like being in Greece. Prices were excellent too! Lots of choice and perfect for vegetarians!

Visited the Greek Vine for a party recently. Thought the entertainment was great fun. The food was slow to come out but this wasn’t the end of the world as we were a large party so we kept ourselves busy. Towards the end of the night, more people were up dancing and a certain staff member kept his attention on our table, I can only assume this was because it was a large party of women. Unfortunately this staff member then felt he had the right to not only grab my behind but also my breast. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested but he just seemed to find it funny and then grabbed my behind a further 3 times. I was not the only one subjected to his inappropriate attentions. We left very shortly after this and I’m now regretting not saying something at the time, all I can put this down to is shock! I still cannot believe that I was being groped by a working member of staff in a family restaurant. Disgusted.

We booked as a family party of 11 for New Year’s Eve. The waitress that served us was clueless and couldn’t even tell us what beer was available or what size bottles!! We all had a fixed price set “Meze” menu and I have to say the starters were o.k. and served promptly, unfortunately things went downhill from then on. We waited over 1 ½ hours for mains to arrive but this was bland and lukewarm at best and to make thing worse they played unbearable loud music the whole time. The manager then proceeded to play “zorba the greek” music whilst smashing sugar plates, this was closely followed by a rendition of “Y viva España” as we waited for more mains to arrive. I can only liken the atmosphere to an episode of Benidorm!!! No further food arrived and the children in our party were still hungry so waited for dessert. Confronted with more terrible music one of our party spent most of the next 45 minutes outside watching a fight and someone vomiting in the doorway!!!! As dessert was not forthcoming one of our party settled the bill so we could leave before midnight, whilst I spoke with the manager. The manager was of the opinion we couldn’t have dessert because we were leaving early and everything was o.k. because “some” other people were having a good time. I explained that we had paid a large amount of money for terrible food, poor service and we were all still hungry but this didn’t wash with him. He still insisted on charging full price for a terrible experience. Unbeknown to us at the time, as we were getting ready to leave the manager questioned my youngest son as to why we were leaving and asked him if we were Mormons or something!!!! This is by far the worst restaurant experience we have ever encountered, with an abhorrent, arrogant, bigoted manager and would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Enjoyed the night but ruined by an absolutely dreadful management! The night started with great music, everyone singing and dancing. The food was decent, not amazing and took a long time to come out, especially between the starter and main.The night began to go downhill when the restaurant completely forgot about the New Years countdown.Towards the end of the night the tables were cleared for people to enjoy themselves dancing which myself and my group of friends did. All customers were getting along, dancing with each other. One of the customers decided to cause an argument with one of my friends which got a little heated, therefore, my friend walked away back to our table. Another man from the same party followed my friend... he decided to walk up behind him, catch him off guard and head butted him, for absolutely no reason! Now this is not right! The management did absolutely nothing, claiming he didn’t see anything even though he had many witnesses saying they saw it, including one of the waitresses.Management refused to call the police or ensure that the man who head butted my friend left the premises. As told by one of the staff members that the man who head butted my friend was actually a friend of the owner. As you can imagine, due to all of the above the group of us felt extremely uncomfortable and wanted to leave so the night could just end. We said to management to make sure that the man and his wife do not follow us, as soon as we get outside the wife then comes out. Now this is terrible from management.We will not be returning and I am disgusted with the way the restaurant dealt with the situation. I am now taking this further.

Myself and 7 others attended the Greek Vine for our New Year’s Eve celebration. The place was booming and the food was served cold and very slowly. However, we expected this and were not disappointed with some of it. Members of general staff, NOT management were helpful and effective in service. Most parties left after the new year was rung in, or in this case completely ignored without even so much as a countdown as it was forgotten by management! We remained and proceeded to the dance floor where were met by another group of older individuals. After some fun showing off dance moves and filming this, one male proceeded to become aggregated as my partner did not want to become centre of attention and dance. His friend then proceeded to approach my partner from behind and head butt him. Despite a member of staff confirming he had seen this, their manager simply brushed this off and said he didn’t see it and so there was nothing he could do. It’s an absolute disgrace that this was handled in this way, the venue is allowed to remain open far too late and the manager is clearly incapable of ensuring the safety of guests. Although, perhaps the fact that said male was known to staff and management explain why he was allowed to remain in the building and assault a male half his age. Or maybe the manager found it entertaining to observe 50 year old men attacking 22 year olds?! The first course of action should have been to ask the male and his party to leave the establishment or call the police to come to a resolution. We will be proceeding with making a complaint to the metropolitan police and Sutton council as clearly the Greek Vine is not being managed by competent staff who are equipped with the skills to remedy such events in an effective and safe manor but instead choose to play ignorant and place customers in danger. Please note other members of staff were helpful, however the manager was an absolute disgrace.

Having attended my cousins 40th there I was downright disgusted that after paying £23 for a set meal I was given rice and salad which I could of bought in Sainsbury’s for £3.50. I told the pleasant waiting staff that I was a vegetarian and was told it was a set menu but there was vegetarian options. When the food came I had half a bowl of rice and salad while the meat eaters had a selection of meat. The vegetable samosa I had was straight out the freezer into the cooking oil I was hoping for fresh Greek cuisine but no. I did write to them and obviously got no sympathy. I think Gordon Ramsey should visit that place but for all the work that needed doing I’d say he will be there for months as it is no a Kitchen Nightmare but a restaurant disaster and anyone who has a taste for REAL cuisine should stay clear. BTW plate smashing to “viva espana” isn’t authentic Greek. Unless your mixed and have Spanish and Greek blood.

Went hear for a 30th birthday. Food ok I think it's more about the entertainment than anything else. The staff work so hard and I was amazed how they managed to serve so many people at the same time. It was quite loud but I think that's because it was such large tables of people celebrating something. But overall great value for money.

Food is good! Entertainment is unparalleled in this area!! The staff are amazing!!! If you fancy a fun night out with friends go here. You will not be disappointed!!!! 10 out of 10!!

I recently went to a Meze Party Night to celebrate a relatives Birthday. Good food and service with Greek dancing and plate smashing. The staff were great both in serving and leading the dancing and plate smashing, encouraging people to join in. The groups of tables all mixed well and a fun night was had by all. Would highly recommend it for a great group night out.

Geez where to begin? We turned up, 8pm, quiet as a church mouse but from the word GO we were greeted by the happiest staff who were so willing to give us a good time.

Fun night for a laugh, but this is not a Greek restaurant. More of a 'let's make fun of Greek restaurants'. You won't get good Greek food here or experience any Greek culture, but you will have a laugh and the staff are fun loving.

Last minute booking for me & my wife & had a great time. All types of celebrations being held & joined in. Thanks to all staff for a great evening.

The starters were probably the best thing here in particular the mushrooms and I must say they gave a decent portion of those. I ordered the chicken skewers with chips and the chicken was very dry and just tasted as if mixed herbs had been scattered over them. My husband had seabass and thought he had tasted better elsewhere. All in all we were not very impressed at all. Service was pleasant but expected more food wise.

The plate breaking on the floor took me back to the 70's but the vibe is very modern. The venue is large with ample seating for parties and smaller groups. This place is where you can let your hair down and dance to Zorba then groove to more modern stuff.

We had a fantastic night celebrating my niece's hen night. I cannot recommend this restaurant and 'Friday night Meze' highly enough. The staff worked so hard and made everyone feel super special. The food was hot, freshly cooked, plenty of dishes and lots of it. Great music and entertainment made the night complete, and such amazing value for money too. We can't wait to come back for another fabulous party night celebration, we were ages 21 - 81 and we all had such fun.

If you are in a large group and have a special occassion to celebrate, you may enjoy the atmosphere at this restaurant: loud music, plate smashing, Greek dancing, birthday announcements. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you want a quiet meal as a couple as you will probably be surrounded by large groups.

30 of us came here for my other halfs 30th birthday, family and friends..... this restuarant is amazing and so are the staff.Not many restaurants around that put on such a good show, music was fab and atmosphere is brilliant. Plate smashing, dancing, service, price was all brilliant. They made our night. Thankyou !!

I came to this restaurant last weekend to celebrate my birthday with friends.

Wonderful Greek cuisine, highly recommended. The staff will get you up dancing together with plate smashing. A good time is guaranteed.

We were a party of 5, went for New Years Eve and just want to say thank you to Simon and all of your staff for making it one of the best.

We went as a group with one vegan (me!), there was so much food, all tasted great and staff very knowledgeable with vegan options. Really impressed.

A group of five on our Christmas night out. There was a set priced Mezze . Most of the tables were the same ,all set up with Christmas Crackers, and a bowl of olives .We ordered our drinks. We then seemed to have to wait until all the tables had arrived before we were served our starters.Hot & cold mezze including hummus,Taramasalata,Tzakziki, falafel,pitta bread,fried cheese and a few other bits.Then the plate smashing begun,so much fun but not if you have a nervous disposition ,lol.The mains were served among the dishes Moussaka, Greek salad,beef stifado, (i think ) grilled chicken thighs, rice ,potatoes and a bean salad,All very delicious and tasty. During this there was music and Greek dancing.Considering how many people there was,The food came out quite quickly and the staff were very professional and friendly.Quite a few times during the evening we were asked if everything was okay. The atmosphere was great . No one seemed to be overly drunk and out of control. I am not sure what it is like on a normal weekend but I have no hesitation in recommending the Greek vine for the and ambiance , the food and the staff. I will be back.

Fantastic 70th birthday for my mum. The manager Simon is brilliant nothing was too much trouble, the staff are amazing friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and so much choice!!! The entertainment and music was spot on. If your looking for a a restaurant with good food great entertainment and value for money this is the place!!!

So disappointed. Horrific service, so embarrassing! 20minutes waiting for a drink. They messed our food and drink bill up at the end, called my guests a liar for the amount we had paid, even though the waitress had agreed it and left the bar area with our money. As we are having a debate on our bill, 3 other tables in the restaurant were also questionning their bills! Shocking! Something questionable is happening there! Awful celebration for my sister’s 30th Birthday. I will never recommend this restaurant!

I had a lovely evening with friends, food was superb but atmosphere was even better. Great entertainment with dancing, music and plate smashing. Simon and his team were very helpful and so friendly. On top of that very reasonable prices, so value for money. I would definitely go back again.

We came here for my daughter in law to be hen night. Omg what a fantastic night. There was 11 of us age ranging between 75 and 25. All the staff were amazing including all of us ladys in the dancing which was so good. The music was great as was the food. All the staff could not have been more friendly and service was great. Grace had a brilliant time thankyou so much for this. We cannot wait to come back.

Had a really great evening with family at the Greek vine on a Saturday night good food, lots of dancing and great company. The owners were working hard with their team and did a great job. A lovely atmosphere and great entertainment well worth a visit.

We decided to pop in as a couple; not a mistake as the staff included us in the fun. This has to be a great place for party of nearly any description, plenty of singing, dancing and general fun.

Fabulous food & entertainment. couldn’t have had better service or food. All served hot apart from some cold Mezes. all of our party enjoyed the meal entertainment drink & atmosphere. Would return with pleasure.

Went here in December 2017 and loved it so my family booked it for my 50th birthday. Fantastic night. Great food. Great music .Great dancing and plate smashing.lovely staff.they even cooked nuggets and chips especially for My grandchildren. My family weren't impressed with me wanting to go there. But they all said it was the best family birthday party. Can't wait to go again in October for my friends birthday.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, there was so much food and the music (some classic nostalgia is always a winner), dancing and plate smashing made for a brilliant party atmosphere. We will definitely be making a return visit! Thank you so much!

Had a fantastic evening at The Greek Vine on Saturday Night. Our Scottish family visited and we wanted to take them to eat Greek food and enjoy some Greek dancing and plate smashing. No better place than The Greek Vine in Wallington. Simon and his staff were very attentive to everyone and our gluten free diner in the party was well looked after and definitely did not miss out on the great food that was served. Overall great food, attentive service and a fab night out - we will definitely be back again !

Last night was my 2nd visit, the first time the place was packed but unfortunately they only had 2 bookings. As this is a party style restaurant I thought this would affect the experience but surprisingly it didn’t.

Really enjoyed last Friday at this restaurant. It was a 70th birthday celebration for a friend and there were four of us. One of our party can only eat plain food but this was no problem as Simon suggested some alternatives to the set menu for her and she was delighted. We had plenty of food and it was delicious.

I recently organised a hen do and chose this venue for dinner. It was perfect! The atmosphere was lively, entertaining and fun. The food was delicious and the weekend meze menu just seemed to keep coming!

Went here for my friend’s hen night. I think there was about 20 of us. Restaurant full of large parties celebrating hen nights or birthdays.

Came here for my 23rd birthday on a Friday I had a table of 14. We had amazing service throughout the entire evening, the food was beautiful and I couldn’t ask for a more cheerful, party-like atmosphere, with the lighting that sets the ambiance! This was my first trip at the Greek vine and I will certainly be back! I’m looking forward to introducing this place to some more good friends of mine! The food is really nice. The waitress was really friendly. Don’t really appreciate or understand the additional charge on every single drink that is purchased. Bottle of wine says £18, you pay £22 something. Makes no Sense, if it wasn’t for this it would be 5 out of 5 review. Keep an eye on your receipts, the more you drink the less extra charges you notice!

What can I say, a fab evening enjoyed by all the food was great a mixture of starters and main courses. And also bought up more starters as my lot are greedy. Plate smashing was great and the music was fab. Very reasonably priced 17.95 for Friday night and 19.95 for Saturday night. Thank you for a great night.

Excellent food. There were 4 of us, we each had something different & each meal was really delicious. Food piping hot & served on hot plates ( not always the case in restaurants leaving the food to get cold very quickly ) I was very impressed. Staff friendly & attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.

Saw the mixed reviews but we love Greek food and a bit of a dance so took a chance and went there a little while back with the family and a couple of friends.

If you are looking for rude staff who have no common sense then this is your place to eat! It all stems from the top, the owner of The Greek Vine is a total waste of space. He has no sympathy for his customers and that is proven as they have moved from the nice area of Claygate to the dump of Wallington. If you want to spend money on food do not give this man a penny of it!!!!

Excellent venue for a fun different night out, good food and friendly service and reasonably priced.

Went with a medium sized group of people, a couple of whom had been before and enjoyed it. The food was edible, but nothing more, it wasn't what you expect when paying £20 to eat out. The people who'd been before said it was EXACTLY the same as the previous time, including every single song that was played which I guess is ok, at least you know what you're getting, but I found the whole thing to be a bit cheesy to be honest. The biggest problem though came with the bill. The way the drinks had been totalled up it was extremely difficult to try and match up what had been drunk with what we were being billed for. I was one of two sober people in our group and we tried between us for quite a while to make sense of what we had been charged for but in the end we couldn't make any sense of it and gave up and paid up. Let's just say the drinks bill was eye-watering and seemed to be a LOT more than anyone was expecting and made it a very expensive night out in the end. Having read some other reviews the drinks mystery seems to be a bit of a running theme with his place. I wouldn't go again.
