Visited a couple of times recently and numerous times in the 60s to collect Season Tickets! The coffee is excellent and should make an independent close by look to it's laurels and with the local butcher almost opposite showcasing their bacon and sausages in the Panini I had at The Waiting Room, it's a win-win for both businesses. As the toilet gets more than a mention in reviews, it's a shame that it's been allowed to get shabby as a lot of thought (and money?) obviously was behind it, some of the grouting cleverly referencing the East Kent Road Car Company livery: please give it the care it deserves? Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to return, or recommend, as the effort to transform this Arts and Crafts gem, at last, was worth the wait. (D'you see what I did there?)

Very sad to say that our experience of papa’s tonight was appalling. My 84 year old mother went in to order, she was snapped at because she couldn’t hear, she was tutted and commented at in a rude way because she adjusted her face covering, we were made to wait in the smelly alley way for the food , and when I asked if there were any napkins I was told “no” No explanation just a curt “no” Won’t be going back there again there is no excuse for rudeness !

I had my wedding breakfast at DiVinos with close family and friends. Down from the decor, to the food and service, I cannot speak more highly of this beautiful little place. Luigi, Julia and the team did an amazing job, the food was fresh and the drinks kept coming, we definitely did not leave hungry! Could not recommend more if I tried.

What a fantastic find 8 of us were booked for Sunday roast and if I’m honest from the outside and when we got in the place I was a little apprehensive as to what we were going to get food wise . We were welcomed with a friendly smile and I have to say I really had nothing to worry about . The roast dinner was exceptional in fact everyone of us agreed we hadnt had a better Sunday roast for a very long time . Everyone wanted us to have the best experience and we certainly did . This would definitely be our local if we lived in the area . Thanks so much for the warm welcome and the king George glass . We will be back when next in the area

Noticed this bijou shop as we were attracted initially by the Groovy illuminated sign in the window advertising cloths and coffee/tea. What a surprise! We were greeted warmly by a young lady behind the counter. The main surprise was it was incredibly small, 2 individual chairs, a 2 seater retro cloth settee and an additional small seating area immediately under the counter in front of the display of cakes (not ideal) customers would literally be sitting virtually upon each other although we were the only customers in attendance at that moment in time. We had tea and 2 rather small cakes and were charged over £12! To summarise, whilst the young lady serving was friendly she fell short on what pricing of the cloths and various items for sale were if not tagged and also was rather naive in knowledge about the local town area. Overall the experience was different and the products for sale were interesting albeit scant we would not choose to return over other more spacious and better value venues locally.

Had lunch here with three friends on August bank holiday Monday during the Sandwich Festival when the restaurant was fairly busy but not packed. We all ordered pizzas and then waited a very long time noticing that other customers who had arrived later were being served before us. One pizza arrived 25 mins after ordering and we waited another 10 minutes for the other three. All came on disposable plates with flimsy disposable wooden cutlery which proved incapable of sawing through the tough pizza base which had not been pre-cut into segments. After breaking two forks and making no impression on the pizza base with the knife I asked for metal cutlery and was informed that they had none. When I explained the problem and expressed my unhappiness the waiter shrugged his shoulders and wandered off leaving me no option but to tear my pizza into pieces with my bare hands. Thereafter no member of staff paid any attention to us and I had to go to the counter to order desserts and pay the bill. If you insist on eating here I recommend bringing your own cutlery.
