The best restaurants in Sandwich Dover South East

Usually have a lovely kebab here but sorry tonight was not good. chicken was tough in shish kebab. The donner kebab usually has nice thin slices but today was thick chunks.

Coffee looks like they forgot to put the coffee in and doesn’t even taste of coffee , need to change supplier or install a new machine

Nice guesthouse in the middle of town. Still gives a good impression of an English pub in a small town.

The bistro has reopened recently after having supposedly been refurbished! No signs of refurbishment only reduced stock in the delicatessen and toilets still backing up. We sat and had a cup of tea (literally) such a small cup it was similar to childs cup in its lack of capacity, a tea bag in the cup which after removing tea bag left half a cup although there was a small refill jug of hot water it was a messy process putting tea on the saucer and topping up what was left of the tea. The wall light next to the table was literally hanging off the wall exposing the wiring and fixings. Unfair charge for such a basic beverage so we will be going back to the Bell Hotel instead.

Visited the White Mills Kitchen today, at the Aqua Park Sandwich, for breakfast. Food was fresh and hot. Service was quick also good value for money. What a menu, something for everyone. Enjoyed watching people on the water.

We ate here two nights in a row on a recent trip. Both evenings the staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent also. One downside is that they do not have an area for baby changing, although I was able to use a quieter room. They did however have a high chair available and were very accommodating otherwise. Worth a visit!

It was a great atmosphere with the front of house team making you so welcome - Easter Sunday. We shared a bruschetta to start with which was well presented, lovely tomatoes. We had a lamb roast and beef roast dinner - which was cooked lovely and full of flavour. My wife liked the parsnip and onion accompiament, I loved the beetroot - but too me the best of all was the roast potatoes. Very generous portion of lovely food. Thanks I would hight recommend

You'd expect a nice sandwich from a café called The Sandwich Shop in Sandwich. The sandwiches are given trendy names but they are mediocre. There wasn't very much tea, not even two full teacups from each pot. The shop was very small and crowded. All tables were occupied; there were four people at one table and they had to move to let us out, and there was also a woman with a small child in a pushchair and as a consequence very little room, even the staff had difficulty getting to the tables. The staff were unenthusiastic.

As a family of 5 we staggered into this delightful cafe on a boiling hot day in August 2020 and were hugely impressed with the service and freshly cooked food. Everything was fresh and hot and despite the fact that they were understaffed when we went in (and it was the end of the Government eat out to help out scheme) they were incredibly friendly and professional despite some very rude other customers. Good old fashioned food and great value for money. If I lived nearer then I would definitely be a regular customer!

We had a lovely brunch, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was really nice and fairly priced- there’s a lovely outdoor area too x

Great breakfast freshly cooked and friendly pleasant staff good clean toilets with good handwash / dry facilities good parking right outside the door cafe is imediatly on the left as you come into the stonar estate.

First time visit. Staff were very welcoming and restaurant is extremely clean and modern with white table clothes, white walls etc. Our starters of chicken tikka and sheep kebab were fresh and very well seasoned and cooked. Our mains and sides were equally well prepared and presented with no ghee floating on top. Excellent value including the wine list.

17 year old ‘Bouncer’ was loudly making rude comments about my wife to the bartender. Seating and furniture tired and uncomfortable.
