By far the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. Everything is full of flavour. Been really good every time I’ve ordered. Highly recommend

Big portions, all was very tasty, we ordered chicken, lamb and vegetarian curry all was nice and I would highly recommend this place, it is take away only.

Mind blasting curry! We regularly drive over from Canterbury to get Chutney because it is so good. Super friendly service and each dish tastes distinct. Great value, too.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INDIAN TAKEAWAY. Just had one of if not the best Indian delivery dinners I've had. I had tandoori mix grill and.the meat was cooked to perfection. It was a busy Saturday night with Christmas lights switch on in the town and they were busy when I walked past after seeing Christmas lights switch on. So I chose to do a telephone order and get it delivered. Got told 45 to 60 mins, for a good meal I don't mind waiting and it came after 40 mins via a polite, friendly and clean driver . everything was superb, fresh and steaming hot. Cant ask for anymore than perfect service and perfect food .

What a shame. Tarka dhal was tasteless..rice was soggy. Takeaway Service was friendly and warm but food disappointed..even the Chicken Jalfrezi was a little low on taste. Perhaps the chef had a bad day...it was Sat night

Ordered a few times from here now.. Staff are lovely and do anything they can for u if your a picky eater like myself . 1st choice all of the time.

We have given this restaurant glowing reviews in the past and rightfully so. However last night we ordered the same as usual. When I went to pay it was over the usual amount (I only knew because I had written our order on the menu & total from before & I had it with me). So I queried the price which in the end he agreed & took the correct amount. However when we got the meal home the first thing as I went to dish up was that everything was covered in the curry sauce as had been overfilled with the liquid which made it a bit difficult to get out of the bag. Bit inconvenient, very unusual from there, but not too disastrous & managed to wipe everything down & dish up. Sat down to eat and we both at the same time took the first mouthful and it was absolutely over spicy. Now we have had the same meal since we started eating there and never been anywhere near this hot. It wasn't enjoyable at all and whilst I would hate to think this was deliberate because of my querying the bill, it was an awful co-incidence! What a shame, as we will certainly hesitate before ordering anything again

Order came on time but really disappointed to find the food is not really what you order. Chicken vindaloo definitely not even hot, not even madras heat, just mild to medium. Four of the eight pieces in the chicken were potato. If I wanted potato I would order Bombay aloo. Usually expect the odd chunk of tomato or onion or potato but not as much as this. Yea I could ring and complain but my meal was ruined and telling the owner doesn’t help me and not writing this review doesn’t warn others to the tricks taken to save money in the restaurants food costs.

Visiting Sandwich and we’re recommended this takeaway. Really pleased we got the recommendation the food was great the service was excellent. Not particularly cheap but the portions were very generous. A minor niggle that they don’t take cards was overcome with a bank transfer. Would highly recommend and will use them again when we’re next in Sandwich.

Cannot praise Chutney Masala highly enough. We've just had lamb madras, coconut rice, aloo Gobi with onion salad and chappatis. Absolutely perfect every time and very generous portions of everything! They gave us some poppadoms and even they are perfect! Well done Chutney Masala 👏👏

I ordered a takeaway from here and eating their food for the first time. Service was great, delivery was prompt and delivered by a very polite young man. The food was very hot, despite coming from 5 miles away!!. Food was absolutely delicious, I had Korai chicken and accompaniments. Will definitely order again from here.

Me and my family was using these for many years but after a few bad ones we stopped ordering we was all shocked as this used to be lovely food, so after about 2 years we thought we would try again and this time it was worse!! When I got home the main curry dishes was leaking and the onion bhajis was that greasy the bag thay was in was soggy and ripped the naan Bread over cooked the chips was a small hand full and was sweating I was annoyed when I collected the food as I was waiting 10mins I thought it was still being cooked but it wasn’t it was in the bag sat on a side in the kitchen it was luke warm when we got home the only thing what was nice was the rice 😂 definitely a waste of nearly £60

Haven’t been told cash only when ordered. They’re apologised and we had to do bank transfer which is fine. We Ordered saag paneer but it hasn’t got any sauce in it just lumps of spinach and a bit of paneer.

Often have takeaway from here. Tonight’s meal was not enjoyable due to the lamb being very tough and dry. I phoned them to let them know and the guy on phone didn’t offer an apology just speeled off bout lamb in the passanda isn’t soft like in other dishes. I wasn’t after a refund was just giving them feedback. I think his customer service sucked to be honest and I won’t be in a rush to order from him again That lamb was tough as old boots regardless of the cooking process!

This is a gem of a place. I cant stress how good this place really is every single time. Lovely staff on the phone and behind the counter always happy and polite even at there busiest. It's a must try for anyone who hasn't already or for anyone visiting Sandwich town .

We moved to the area 8 years ago and had given up finding a modern Indian takeaway that serves fresh and good quality food. We’ve tried pretty much all of them and they’re like Indian restaurants were 20 years ago: all the curries come out of the same brown curry sauce and the meat and veg are regurgitated/big fresh. We’re over the moon to gave discovered Chutney Masala - we’ve ordered a few times now and each time the dishes are clearly individually prepared, ingredients fresh, meat gorgeously tender and moist. Beautifully seasoned too. Not full of salt. We’d spoken to many locals before ordering and everyone raves about it so we’re not alone!

Both being devotees of Strictly, my neighbour and I decided on a quiet night in so I decided to collect a nice curry from the Chutney Masala from where I had enjoyed a nice curry in August. I had passed the Chutney while out for a walk and was studying the menu in the window when the friendly manager spotted me and gave me a menu and told me how long to wait after ordering to collect. I'd decided I would have my dinner around 6 in order to be cosily ensconced by the fire in readiness for the Strictly semi-final so gave myself good time to collect and eat. I ordered the North Indian Special Chicken with plain rice and Aloo Gobi. The Special Chicken was very tasty with just the nicest of afterburns and the Aloo Gobi had lovely big chunks of vegetables. The takeaway is literally about 100 yards from my cottage so will definitely be back.

Great takeaway. The set meal for 4 is great value and would easily feed a small army. Never had any issues.

We love the food from here, it is a great takeaway. But last night I had my first bad experience and was so disappointed, not only by the food, but by the staff’s response when I called up after collection. The butterfly prawn was very dry - so dry that it was virtually inedible. Incredibly tough and you could barely taste the prawn. I was told that the dish that they provided was exactly as it should be - this is what butterfly was like. But I have only ever had butterfly prawn as individual prawns in breadcrumb and this was one large “piece”. Which presumably why it was so dry. The staff member I spoke to was immovable and while I appreciate what he was trying to say, this WASN’T a nice dish and it seemed strange how emphatic his argument was when I could see and taste the food and he could not. I didn’t touch it, just photographed it before it went straight in the bin.

Got to say amazing food amazing value chose off the menu everything cooked fresh and loads of it ,ended up eating far more than we should have as so moreish and still enough for breakfast would recommend and would def use again

Ordered an Indian tonight with five poppadoms and our Indian was delivered without them. I contacted them and they advised that they were on their way. After we had finished our meal they still had not arrived, so I called again to ask for a refund of £2.75 for the poppadoms. They REFUSED to give me a refund and now I have five poppadoms that I no longer want or need! Very disappointed with this service. As a long term (and I had hoped valued) customer it pains me to say I won’t be ordering here again.

I was persuaded to visit Chutney Masala by the positive TA reviews. I’m not particularly fussy and I usually have a cast iron digestion; and I do not like slating a business but I have to share a particularly bad experience.The food I had was appallingly poor. The lamb used by Chutney Masala was full of hard fat and gristle. I had to pick each piece of lamb out of my mouth and it all ended up in the bin. The chilli masala dish (so praised by other reviewers) was utterly tasteless - I honestly do not know how anyone could have praised it.The staff promised me my food would be ready in 45 minutes but in fact it was 1 hour 20 minutes.I was appalled that they only accept cash payments which I cannot understand why this would be, although I can certainly guess.Finally, I consumed my food whilst watching a movie (‘Upgrade’ if anyone is interested) and by the end of the movie I had the urgent condition one normally associates with poor quality food.I’m aware this is a very busy local take away, but my experience was extremely poor and I will never be going back despite being a regular visitor to the area. It’s dreadful and I would certainly not recommend it to any person no matter how hungry you are. On the upside it is not an expensive place, but still, it’s not about the money; if was double the price I’d be happy to pay for decent quality. It’s not decent here at all.

The kormas for the family members were tasty and the chicken vindaloo was just as I wanted it to be; not too dramatic but plenty of kick.Thanks very much. I will order again.

Another lovely takeaway last night and despite it being a very busy Saturday evening our phoned order arrived when expected (free delivery within 3 mile radius).Tried a different dish for me, Chicken Chilli masala, and it was a very good choice - just spicy enough. My better half's Sag paneer was excellent (she tells me) so all good.Highly recommended.

The Chutney Masala in Sandwich, in my opinion is the best Indian takeaway in Kent. Since experiencing their dishes we will not have our Indian takeaway treat from anywhere else. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Excellent food, Fabulous Service. Csnt wait to order again once we can leave our house. Thank you Naz and the team. We will be back. :)

We tried this take away for the first time yesterday and have to say it's the best Indian take away we have had! The Madras was full of flavour and had an excellent amount of chicken. The chilli rice was also full of flavour and is by far now my favourite rice dish! Will 100% be using this as our regular Indian from now on! Even if it does mean a 20 minute drive!

I find Chicken Dhansak from most Indian Restaurants too sweet, and not as hot as I remember when I lived in Birmingham. I only had to ask them to make it not too sweet and a bit hotter, and they prepared the best Chicken Dhansak I've had in years! Thank You!

Had a couple of take aways from this traditional Indian. Very good chef making tasty food full of flavour. Tandoori aways moist and Dansak just how I like it with tender lentils. Good prices and generous portions. Staff very pleasant and excellent free home delivery service.

Actually popped in to Sandwich to get Fish and Chips but Papa's was closed so as I hadn't tried Chutney Masala before, Took a chance. Really happy with the result, especially the meal for two - saves having to choose - which was a great price and a good mix. I will certainly be back and be adventurous in my choice.

I have been back in sandwich about 6 months and in that time my other half and I have slowly worked our way through their menu. We have tried everything from the basic to the specials and never been dissatisfied. All delicious and beautifully cooked. Staff are super helpful if you want to try something new but unsure as to what to try. They deliver as well as take away service. You do need to allow a little time for your food but everything is fresh and this reflects in the taste. We have enjoyed food from here so much we have actually not been out to a sit down restaurant incase its not as good. Would highly recommend and looking forward to tonight's curry. Keep up the good work chutney massala staff!

Ordered an Indian for collection an hour later to allow myself time for a drink or two in a nearby pub. Arrived five minutes early and had to wait; happy to wait given it meant my food hadn't been out for ten minutes waiting for me!

We decided to order a takeaway following a night out in Sandwich. On placing the order we asked for the meal to be ready an hour later, to allow us to have a drink nearby.

We had a wonderful family Meal last night , this indian never fails us, and right on our door step, food always hot and flavoursome and delivered within the stated time, perfect!

My husband loves Indian but I have never been keen as I can't eat anything spicey meaning my husband rearly had Indian not wanting to eat it alone, but chutney masala make me something that isn't off the menu that isn't spicey, so I can share having an Indian with my husband. We had one last night with friends and it was yet another amazing meal thanks guys you do a brilliant job xx
