Lovely traditional pub in a great location with a good range of real ales, wines and spirits
Staff are very friendly and lunch time food is excellent- will return
We were a party of three. Got a friend staying over and we wanted to go somewhere local and walk-able and with a dog also in tow. The one plus point is they are happy with dogs in the establishment. Tried this gaff before and not been impressed, especially with the food side. The beer, best not go there. If you don't drink lager, good luck with the one and only cask ale in sight. A Harvey's Best of questionable condition and quality. Over to the food. Standard pub grub fare you see anywhere. Hence starts the fiasco of ordering the food. Initial order was for 2 chicken pies, and one butter? chicken burger. This order was taken and promptly cancelled as they had "run out of these chicken pies- sorry". Ok, we said, lets go for one portion of fish and chips and 2 potions of chicken burgers. Minutes later an apologetic barmaid comes to the table we are at and says the last fish and chips portion has sold!. This was re-selected as sausage and mash and at last the order was processed! Food, arrived a few minutes later but only 2 potions. The second butter chicken burger meal was mysteriously missing. "with you soon was the stock comment". Twenty minutes later still no third meal. After chasing, it did actually arrive. We all ate it but were not impressed with the quality of the meals. Now we come to the bill. The fish and chips was still on the charge and was more expensive than the bangers and mash replacing it. This was queried but little was altered on the bill itself, but we were given a £1.20 something cash refund. By now, we had lost the will to live and couldn't wait to get out and go home. We are not passing customers, been in that pub since 1986 but on this showing, never again!
Lovely village pub but was very let down by the barbecue lunch waited near on an hour, for the food to arrive they just couldn't cope on the barbecue and coordinating the food the food itself was okay, steak good but rushed, chips nice, salad and rice crap.
We have been using this Pizza Hut regularly for well over a year now.
Every month we collect our online ordered pizzas at 1.30-1.45 pm and they are always ready. Always fresh, hot and meticulously made with care . We have had pizzas from other Pizza Huts in the past, notably Bluewater and they have been AWFUL and very expensive so we have boycotted them except for the one at Dover Road!
The staff are always very warm, welcoming and friendly especially the gentleman that is there on a Thursday during the day.
Thank you very much.
This is my favorite place the only thing is every time o ask for the warm lemon cake they never have it please take it of the menu so I’m not tempted too many times I have orders and never available:(
Do not order online from this place. It has closed, but it has not taken down its website and your credit card will still be debited. The phone goes to the owner's mobile in broken English.
I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for a long time, spending a lot of money here, but after my recent experience, I won't be returning. I placed a £65 order online and waited over two hours, only to be told that my order had never been processed because a new staff member forgot to print the ticket. Mistakes happen, and I can understand that, but the way it was handled was beyond disappointing.
For such a major inconvenience, all I was offered as compensation was a pack of poppadoms and two samosas, on a £65 order. I would have expected a sincere apology and at the very least a partial refund. Instead, when my order finally did arrive, it was incorrect I ordered a tikka masala and was sent a korma. So in the end, I waited over two and a half hours for something I didn’t even want.
This all happened on a special birthday evening, which made it even worse. Given the poor handling of the situation, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
Absolutely awful service- after waiting an hour and a half on ordering through uber eats- called to say 15 minutes away. Called back 30 minutes later and seems they never had our order- so so unhelpful and told me just to try and get my £50 refund through uber eats???? Appalling- will NEVER use again… please don’t order from these people
First time ever going to The White Hart and have to say how attentive the young lady called Jess behind the bar was , she went above and beyond with her customer service , was a pleasure going there and will definitely go again , Highly recommended A☆☆☆☆☆ and more
