My friend based in London had been a few times and had always put the amazing beer garden on her socials, so when I came to visit I asked if we could go and I was not disappointed, the garden is beautiful, the river, flowers, food, pub and them roast potatoes and lamb shank WOW. We even joked I would travel the 4 hours just to come again. Staff were friendly and understood when I didn't want something on the plate and all 4 meals came out super quick and correct. I asked for no cabbage or green beans and without even asking the kitchen gave me an extra Yorkshire to fill my plant which is a first for me from a pub. Only downside was the parking, waited for a space for 10 mins and gave up so had to drive down the road, feel its important to mention as we nearly drove off and went somewhere else. Tried the coop carpark but you only get 45mins but again I understand, cant just create space. 100% would go again. perfect ended to an already great weekend.

Myself and my wife made our first re-visit of the year today and it was great ….. garden looked lovely and the mill stream was pushing through at some pace ….. you can sit right next to it and enjoy a drink and a good meal while watching the dragon flies chase each other up and down the river ….. the food was good and we chose the Monday night special consisting of 6oz burgers in a bun, chips, coleslaw and onion rings all for ……… £18, now that’s a great price for a couple and we both enjoyed the food ….. get there early if it’s sunny as the garden is very popular esp if you want one of the river tables …. We visited for lunch, the selection was good, although hubbie was looking for a pie and there was no pie on the menu. The food came quickly and was tasty. It was reasonable priced. Only comment would be that the children’s meals did not come with any veggies/beans as standard.

A nice pint ruined by being given a fine for parking in the car park of the pub I was having a drink in. Completely ridiculous. Expected to see signs on a bust Friday night.

I searched for a place to meet as friends not too far from the M25, between our respective homes. I found this Wey side Pub, that felt traditional, with lots of beers on tap. Sadly it was not summer, else we would have eaten outside by the River. But with torrents of rain outside we were happy to eat indoors The menu with 5 specials on the board were £10 each for the mains. One of our number wondered if we had the kids menu, as other parts of the menu only had single figure prices!! The staff were ALL responsive, friendly and prompt. Wish it were closer to Guildford, as it would be a regular place to visit PS Thank you for my “extra mint” and bowl of peas The Lamb Casserole Special was tasty and hot, (I’ve got used to dried out tepid mains at Pubs ) I repeat my thanks to the Chef!

This pub/restaurant states wheelchair accessible - yes it is but no disabled toilet and access to beer garden impossible due to ramps in urgent need of repair ! - however on a plus the food we had was of a very high standard and the staff went over and beyond to accommodate our needs and requests but I felt they were somewhat embarrassed at the struggle we went through on our visit

Travelled along way, and what a disappointment the chips were burnt were they had been reheated, they were not freshly cooked, the way the food was served you would think we were in a road side cafe,it was just dumped on the plate, I could go on but I'm sure you get the gist.

Popped in whilst out on walk on towpath nearby. Good Covid protection in force. The garden area is a credit to the owner as the flowers in hanging baskets and tubs are beautiful and cared for and enhance the garden tremendously. We only had a coffee which we ordered on an app. The garden is right next to the canal water, so maybe not great for younger children. But we loved it.

This pub is an excellent place to stop after a walk along the River Wey Navigation as it is right on the river, and on the week day I visited lunch was being served until 3 o'clock and it was not busy. I had a beef bap with chips for £5.95 and a well kept pint of Courage Best. Service was friendly and efficient. I noticed that there was also a vegan menu. There is a pleasant garden overlooking the River Wey, and a bus stop outside; it is 10 minutes walk to Byfleet and New Haw station.

We had pre-booked for a Mother's Day meal and felt we made a good choice. We didn't know the pub well, but had discovered it when walking alongside the Wey Navigation, and decided it might suit. There were five of us including our four year old grandson. We were seated and served quickly and the four adults all chose a roast dinner which was very generous, with nice tender meat (the beef and the turkey were equally good) and lovely fresh vegetables. Our plates were full, but then we were served with additional cauliflower cheese. Being Mother's Day, my daughter and I were given free desserts. It was so refreshing that there was no attempt to charge extra for Mother's Day, more the reverse. It was extremely good value and the staff were welcoming and efficient. The bonus was that afterwards we spent another pleasant hour in the pretty garden alongside the water, with swings and climbing frame to keep our grandson happy.

We've been here a couple of times now purely for the food. The quality is very good especially considering the reasonable prices. The menu isn't pretentious at all, but what is there is done well. There's a specials board as well offering different things from their staple menu. The food itself is of a much better standard than a the expected pub lunch - and chips that aren't just there as plate filler.

We popped in for a bite of lunch one weekday. Plenty of room to park the car, appeared to have a nice play area for children and another garden area for adults to sit out by the canal and watch the boats go by! however it is next to a busy road so I can imaging it might also suffer from traffic noise at certain times of the day. I visited for a Sunday Roast. I ordered a lamb roast with all the trimmings. The dinner was reasonably priced but still not worth the money. The Lamb shank was quite small, the roast potatoes were new or small potatoes with the skin on which were stale at best, chewy at worst. The veg was fine and the creamed leaks and parsnips were actually delicious. The meal would have been fine had it not been for the gravy which was incredibly sweet, more like caramel than gravy and overpowered the whole dish. For dessert I had a chocolate sundae which came in a glass. The ice cream was melted by the time it arrived and there was hardly any chocolate in it. I wouldn't return here despite the riverside seating being very pleasant.

The White Hart is pleasantly situated on the Wey navigation and I met some friends here for lunch. Arriving a little early on a quiet lunchtime, I was pleasantly welcomed and served with a nice cup of coffee whilst I waited, excellent value at £1.50. There is a very good choice of food and I opted for sausage and chips in a basket at £5.95. This proved to be 4 delicious sausages and more chips than I could manage, all well cooked and piping hot; again, excellent value. Some of my friends chose a floured bap, available with a variety of fillings, reported to be well filled and tasty. We were very satisfied and will definitely return - the best value meal I have had for some while. On a damp day we sat inside, but the garden by the canal looked attractive, plenty of seating inside and out. Highly recommended.

Nice location by a stream off of the Wey navigation where we were moored. Has a very pretty garden. The public area was clean and tidy. The service was not bad and we all said the food was good. Our cousin said it was a proper pie he had and his vegetarian lady friend enjoyed the quiche. Everything fine until it came to wanting a dessert. They had no ice-cream which meant they couldn't do most of the desserts, hence only 3 out of the 6 had one. A disappointing finale.

Despite having lived in the area for nearly 40 years we had never been in the White Hart so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed as the quality, service and friendly welcome lived up to our expectations. This was an early evening visit so the back room, set aside for diners, was empty. We decided to eat in the main bar area where more people had gathered, presumably after a hard day at work. The service was very friendly and quick and although my chosen item from the specials board had run out, a suitable alternative was quickly provided. Still very little improvement. Bar service polite but not personal, no eye contact or a smile. With the exception of one barmaid who is always happy. Drinks fine (tricky to go wrong really), new tables in beer garden and great view of canal / river. Have ordered food four times at The White Hart. First time was a burger meal which came out without core ingredients. Had to wait once I'd asked for the additional items. Since then have only ordered chips or nachos. Nachos came out without the promised salsa. No apology made. When asked, barman went to local Morrisons and came back with squeezy salsa of which we received a small amount. Next two times, ordered chips. At £3.45 a throw with cheese, it would be nice to have some cheese that is visible, and tasty. And more than 15 chips (although chunky). When asked, an off duty member of bar staff was sitting customer side of bar and commented themselves on how poor the food was. Surprising reaction but a promise of improvement yet to be seen. Advertisement for chef still remains.

A Tuesday lunch time might not be the best time of day to get a true impression of this pub as it was very quiet - barely a handful of visitors. It's clean, well maintained, service was prompt and friendly. Foodwise, we went very simple: a chicken and mushroom jacket potato - I usually like to eat the skin but this was well, well cooked. Plain fare. The tuna wrap was as from a supermarket and the nachos were from the budget line. All in all, not overly-priced and at least there was a choice other than some of the pretentious options other pubs restrict you to. £15 all-in with drinks so not bad.

I live locally to the White Hart, and have had a few meals in here, which are always lovely, as are the staff and the service. The only downside for me os the clientele, who tend to stare and whisper like you are invading their turf.

I ordered a pot of tea.I let it stand until the food arrived. When I poured it looked very weak. The tea bag seemed devoid of leaves, despite my squeezing the colour of the tea was light grey after adding a dash of milk. I asked the waitress for another tea bag. " I will have to charge you" was her immediate response without firstly examining the defective teabag. I reacted by telling her that I wanted a refund for the tea and she duly obliged. Now ,here is my question. The pot of tea was £2.80. An extra teabag maybe 2 pence. Their profit on that cup of tea possibly £2? She chose to cost her employer £2 for the sake of a 2 p teabag. !!! Another issue. When I ordered via their app it asked for a tip. It used to be that you tipped after the meal according to the level of service !! I usually leave a cash tip. Had I have tipped when I ordered would they refund the tip if I wasn't satisfied?

Akswit did a great job and made our family brunch perfect, timing the coffees with the food just as we asked; great job Akswit! Overall a nice place to go for a day out and some fresh air.

We were warmly welcomed and offered drinks from a great selection. The roast dinner was really delicious and my request for extra gravy was met! Puddings were also lovey. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely pub with a nice restaurant - set menu was good value, about £23 for 2 courses and £25 for 3. I had the cauliflower soup, tartiflette and chocolate mousse and they were all amazing. Friends had options including the rump steak and said it was amazing too. They bring bread to start, which tastes amazing, and they refill it if you want more. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.
