I’m relatively new to the area and I’ve been looking for a good local Chinese. I’ve tested a few over the past year and this is my favourite. Food was delivered hot, good portion sizes, fresh and very tasty.
It took an hour and twenty minutes for the restaurant to call to say the cauliflower bhaji was out of stock. This was when the food was supposed to have already been delivered. When asked how long the order would now take I was told twenty minutes... 50 minutes later the food arrived and was cold.
Wish we could say the taste was good but the food didn't taste of anything.

i don’t know what happened but i was missing 2 dishes from my order, i called up to complain but it was very much “i don’t know what i can do about that” just feel like i’ve been ripped of £20 worth of food. check your order before you leave that’s all i can say reall…
We happened upon this takeaway before heading back on the train. They prepared the hot n sour soup(the best I’ve ever had- plenty of pork/prawns), won ton soup, Singapore noodle(great balance of prawns/pork/chicken/egg with noodles and chilli/garlic king prawns(juicy prawns- good balance of vegetables). Meal for 2 for £19.50! Bargain!
Where do I start….. food was 20minutes early and cold.
We informed the restaurant to leave food at the back of our home yet the delivery driver continued to bang on our front door until, I believe, he actually read the note and left the food at the back.
Meat in the starter was undercooked, naan was undercooked, potatoes were over cooked and the chicken was undercooked and not fresh (had a greyish look about them).
All our food was inedible, resulting in organising a dinner before the football! We’ll be applying for a full refund!!
First time we have ordered here and it was the worst Indian take out we’ve had. Never ordering here again!
This is a decent and usually quite a busy Wetherspoons pub in the heart of Canterbury, making it a great place to stop off when exploring the city or shopping.
It's pretty big with two levels, varied seating areas and even some tables along the pavement outside the pub but sadly no beer garden. You can even stay here as it's also a hotel.
The food and drink is cheap and tasty as in most Wetherspoons pubs and brought out nice and quick.
I would definitely recommend it if you want a bargain drink or meal when you are out in Canterbury.
