Gillingham Grill in Medway

I ordered lamb doner meat and chips this evening and kindly requested that the meat be well done. As I watched the staff member cutting the lamb doner, I noticed that he wasn’t cooking the meat any further – just slicing it as usual. I saw he had a grill pad available where he could have grilled the meat to make it more well done, but he didn’t use it. He simply continued as if nothing was wrong. I reminded him that I specifically asked for the meat to be well done. He replied that it was already well done and, in his opinion, if he cooked it more, it would burn. But why should he care if I preferred it even more cooked, or even burned? When I pointed out the grill, he responded that he couldn’t put the meat on it. THESE GUYS ARE MISLEADING THEIR CUSTOMERS! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS PLACE!

Chips were chewy and borderline cold when you have such a long wait time you could make sure your quality is at least up to par. Was really disappointed this time

Under new management the start was a little rocky, but I'm back to coming here regularly. Great portions, no 90% chips and a thin layer of meat, you get when you pay for here. Prices are up a bit but they are everywhere and like I said, you'll get your money's worth.

I asked for burger sauce and was given a different sauce and asked for strawberry Miranda and got tropical fruit Fanta

We really enjoyed eating here, going straight for the steak sharing board. The food was great, with the right level of rendering on the grill and the wine pairing was superb - thanks to the sommelier who helped us select the Alpasion malbec. There were a few things off the menu which was a shame, but overall would go back and recommend.

Overcharged at the counter, had to argue with the cashier to receive a refund for overcharging. Good enough food but disappointed with point of sale.

I surprised my wife for her birthday by taking her to M Threadneedle Street. I had the most amazing time, and more importantly, so did she. From being greeted by the most welcoming manager, to being treated like VIP's by our server Thomas, everything was on point. Definitely going back.

The food was very good,for quality and portion size the prices were very reasonable plus staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended..

Steven took really good care of us and so did the rest of the staff — brilliant as always. However, the food was a bit of a disappointment this time around as the Beef Wellington was well done on one side and medium rare on the other. It’s a one-off given the number of times we’ve visited M, but certainly something to note.

I've given a 5* rating because, not only was the delivery earlier than expected, but, when we had an issue with one of the items ordered, the fella I spoke to on the phone was incredibly polite, helpful and apologetic and offered to send another or something else, We requested a replacement and we were told it'd be here with in 20mins. It was and it was perfect. Thank you to the man who helped us. The food was lovely, fresh and hot. Give them a go. we'll be back for sure.

The food was a bit disappointing, the fried chicken was too salty, the chips didn't taste the best. My kids liked the nuggets. They also forgot the salad on the kebab. Food arrived quickly but we won't order from here again.

Walked in to order a pizza with a friend! Worked out better to order online through just eat but it was unavailable online and the owner would not validate the offer! So we just left!

Ordered on behalf for my stepdad and mum to try. As I always say it is the best kebab house to ever open, they couldn’t agree more. Absolutely amazing food always perfect spiced and cooked. Love this kebab house will never ever change it for anything👌🏼

Nice venue and great menu, however we waited circa. 30 minutes for our first drinks to arrive, and our orders weren’t taken for at least 15 minutes after arrival. The food was ok but probably not value for money. Two people had to send their steaks back because they asked for medium rare and got very well done. Then the new steaks took longer than expected to arrive. Nothing terrible about the place or the experience, however for a £1,400 bill for 6 people, it wasn’t worth the money.

i call them to ask for deliver as it came through collection they told me could not do it as it was ready could not have been as i just did it and it was a chicken shish kabab and i no they have to cook the chicken then said they would want 5 pound to deliver i said ok. then told it would be 15/20 minutes if its ready why the long wait when i got it it was cold so not happy will not be buying from them again

Friendly host who noted the birthday booking and offered VIP status which translated into absolutely nothing, not even a mention from our waitress let alone a candle or some other token (so why ask when making a booking it’s a special occasion?!) Waitress was rushed and curt and didn’t make us feel relaxed. And sadly after taking the order and making a point of saying everything was available it turned out the main dish we had come for was actually out of stock. Rest of the food was excellent but overall experience lacking.

I ordered 7up 1.5 L. However, they delivered lemonade 1.5 L. Otherwise food was hot and tasty.

Your advertising could have been more explicit about the pricing. I, naively, thought when booking that I was paying for table and food. Imagine my surprise when the waiter asked me to pay an additional £145+ on top of the booking charge.

We had a lovely time at M Threadneedle Street last night. We had the month of love menu, with drink pairing. The food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. Not to mention, the service was amazing, the waiters were terrific and everyone working at the restaurant went out of their way to make sure we were looked after.

Great restaurant. Food was superb. Sharing Beef Wellington and International Beef Board were both fantastic.

I’m almost embarrassed to review how awful this place is given I’m actually a member. The service was patchy, the overly sweet cocktails are from packets (confirmed by a very embarrassed “mixologist” but more importantly they can’t cook a steak and when returned the same steak arrives cut in half and served by a surly “manager”. I explain Ed that it was now missing the sauces and he reluctantly brought those. Chips aren’t “triple cooked” hence soggy and weeping, the broccoli is served cold and in a bed of a mush I can’t even decipher. It was bad. I had a guest with me and I left embarrassed. On the up side the waiter in the “private members” bar that everybody seemingly had access to was attentive. Give this a wide berth.

Use to be really good, one of the best late night fast food places in Medway. However since the place has had change of owners standards have dropped and they keep dropping. It's absolutely disgusting the food is so stale and old. Even the chips are re-fried and the oil they use is never changed. There is a young man working there sweating he's balls off and then using same hands to handle food lol absolutely no joke. Not recommended at all.

Excellent food and good service. I have eaten at M Threadneedle a number of times and have always enjoyed it. It’s buzzing during the week and especially at lunchtime but was very quiet on the Friday night that I am writing this review for. That’s probably more to do with the level of activity in the City on a Friday night than to do with the restaurant though.

Chillie cheese bites not cooked properly

Leonardo was an absolute gem yet again. This man is heaven sent and took really good care of us once again. From start to finish, his service was flawless and even made up for the slow arrival of food with a couple of shots, thereby showing his appreciation for the customer. Aside from that, the beef wellington was cooked to perfection as usual and the sides were divine. M is one of the few restaurants that treats vegetables with respect and it shows. That said, there’s plenty of room to improve on the fish as it was rather dry and lacked depth, let alone flavour.

Today we decided to go back to M for a business lunch.As always they didn’t disappoint us. Food was impeccable and Anastasia treated us with respect. Our guests were very impressed about the place and they will definitely come back! Thank you!

Brilliant evening at the M restaurant. Always love going back there for food. Food lovely as always and had a lovely little birthday surprise from them (little plate with yummy brownie pud and a hand written birthday sign in chocolate) also I got to take home my birthday gift as promised (bottle of champagne) which we enjoyed at home! Staff was also attentive. Will come back again and again!!

Our experience at M was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious 🤤 the staff always on point and very knowledgeable. Will be back!
