Lovely service and food was amazing (I had lamb shish). Could not have chosen better for some decent food! Read the previous reviews about wine prices and yes, on an expensive side, but did not matter to me, as I was too busy eating delicious food to have more than one glass of wine! Highly recommend it!

All you need in a restaurant. Quick service, reasonable prices, professional staff, clean toilets, and above all, fantastic food.

The staff are super friendly every time I’ve been in or had a delivery! The portion sizes are huge you will leave with a full belly! Cocktails are delicious, I think you get your moneys worth here! 100% recommend to anyone

Second visit. Food v good. But again a bit odd in one respect. I ordered a portion of taramasalata as my starter. Comes as a very generous portion. But absolutely no bread! You are expected to eat it with the nice - but understandably - small serving of complimentary bread and 2 little dips. Well, when you are with two other people there isn't enough to eat much of your taramasalata starter. When I asked about some bread for my starter I was told I was expected to take from the complimentary serving. But there's hardly any bread as it's complimentary with those dips. Anyway, all good natured. I did ask for extra bread please and got it, freshly made, without an additional charge. Just really odd to me. Last time it was the same for my hummus starter. Paying £90+ for food you would hope to get a bit of bread...

Had a family dinner here. Highly recommend. The lamb chops were delicious along with all the other food we had. Great cocktails as well 😉

We had a 3-course lunch, the food was excellent value for the set price, it was our 16th wedding anniversary and we just came back from Turkey as well. Galata is a lovely restaurant please try it you won't be disappointed.

been going to Galata for number of years last night was worst service we had ever experienced. ordered a combination of hot and cold mezzas. Cold came out 8 minutes prior to hot mezzas, when they should come out together. Mains was served to table whilst still eating our starters consequently were cold when we came to them, hence my partner didnt eat hers. Staff were displacement regarding this leve lof service which is grossly substandard. Not acceptable service and fell far below their normal standard

This is a splendid restaurant for either lunch, or an evening out. Great food, plenty of it and very good value for money. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent.

Down in the area working and found this Mezze Restaurant which fortunately were able to fit me in. The food is first class a humous starter followed by mixed chicken & lamb main. Portions are very generous and the food is cooked to perfection. Service was excellent despite being very busy. I can’t fault the food or service and will definitely be booking again when next in the area working.

It is easy to locate. Good food and drinks. The only issue I have is there is no parking space so difficult to find a parking closer. Nonetheless, if you are looking for good food which worth the money, then I recommend this restaurant for you.

The Galata is a lovely place to eat and there is plenty on the menu to tempt you. The atmosphere, service and quality of the food is excellent. The only thing is it's on the pricey side especially the drinks. It's a shame the cheapest bottle of wine on offer is priced at £23! Also cocktails £12 each. But as I said earlier the food is excellent so it's a place for special occasions, probably not for regular visits.

We came back for a meal to celebrate our anniversary after visiting the restaurant the year before with some friends. I am sometimes a little worried about going back when you have had a positive experience as the expectations are always higher. This was i'm glad to say a very nice second visit. The food once again was delicious and well presented. The only issue was being a rather small table for two it did mean we struggled a little bit for space feeling a little cramped, having to move the drinks around to accommodate dishes and the like. That said I understand it is a balancing act for the restaurant to make sure they have enough placings available. Rest assured we will certainly be heading back,

We finally get to try this Turkish restaurant on Valentine’s Day! It’s a little cosy restaurant, amazing service, very welcoming smile faces! Great portion size meals, gods was tasty! Thanks again lovely waitress Holly & manager Ali! Maybe the only improvement side salad could be little larger with main meal 🤭very colourful small bowl but wasn’t my kind of salad 🥗 also maybe cocktails prices are too high ! Amazing dishes for sure and we’ll be back again! Best wishes!

Galata Meze Bar Restaurant in Rainham, Gillingham, Kent is an undiscovered treasure if you haven’t already been there. Although the parking facilities behind the restaurant is limited there is a car park within two minutes walking distance from the restaurant (Orchard St Parking). The restaurant is small but I believe they have upstairs seating too which adds to the capacity. Staff are very welcoming, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. The food is delicious and the portions are more than adequate. Their vegetarian options are as good and delicious. Pricing, when compared to the quality of the food and the service, is definitely value for money. We often eat at the establishment, the last visit being on 10 February 2024. All the staff were very attentive especially Rose who attended our table.

Excellent venue for any time of the day. Came here again for a family birthday dinner. Delicious food and very friendly, efficient and professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were allowed in early to decorate the table. The staff kindly allowed us to take a cake and they paid special attention to the birthday boy (age 90) Rose was an amazing waitress and afforded us all so much care and attention. We had a four year old with us and it was noted he liked tomatoes so the staff brought him a plate of tomatoes as extra. Would highly recommend this venue to everyone and we will be back again soon Thank you Galata for a memorable family event 😊

Since moving to Medway, this has quickly become my favourite. Starters amazing, Fresh soft bread, and the Mix Grill is delicious. Highly recommend!

We have eaten here on a few occasions, every time the food is perfect. Portions are big, flavour is always spot on, and service is brilliant. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Being a lover of Turkish food I called in here this week whilst staying close by. Nice small restaurant and very friendly staff. I opted for the mixed Chicken and Kofta kebab which were delicious. Cooked to perfection and full of delicious flavours. Very reasonable prices. I couldn’t have asked for a better first meal out of the year.

What a great Turkish restaurant to have locally. Food is fab and staff really friendly. Have to say the rice pudding today was amazing. We are lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep

We've been here with family, friends and last night just the two of us, we're never disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient, making you feel welcome and looked after. Service is efficient but doesn't feel rushed at all. There's a great selection of food on offer and as for portion sizes... well you're not going to leave hungry! It's all prepared to a high standard and piping hot when it needs to be. Similarly there are drinks for every preference including some fun cocktails! I can't recommend Galata Mezze enough and can't wait for my next visit!

An excellent £12.95 lunch menu for 2 courses. Three of us had different things. All very good. Value for money doesn't get better. We were upstairs on our own but well looked after.

A group of 20 of us went to Galata for dinner this week. I'd booked this restaurant after visiting in November with some friends and the lamb was 'the best I ever had'. It wasn't a one off - the lamb was complimented by a number of other guests on this occassion too, as was all the other food ordered. Considering the restaurant was full on both floors, and for such a large group, our food come out quickly, altogether and just high quality. Can't fault it. Plus the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely visit!!

Food average and expensive, as we're the drinks. Very noisy, and felt like sitting in a shop window, as we were seated right at the front. Staff were excellent.

Lovely meal it my Son and family. Food was excellent. As the staff were really good. No parking at the restaurant, a few disabled spaces behind but that's is There is a pay & Display car park behind the Cricketers Pub just along the road. At the junction with Railway st. Reasonable prices too.

A group of us met here for lunch. We all ordered from the lunch menu which offered a lot of choice and was incredibly good value. The staff were very welcoming and service was really good. We all ordered different things and we were all very happy with our choices. This is well cooked, nicely presented Turkish food, but also perfectly suitable for anyone unfamiliar with Turkish food.

Another brilliant meal at Galata. Very friendly staff and lovely food. Definitely the kind of place you can just relax in and enjoy your time there. We had the Turkish sausage and the Borek to start followed by the chicken shish kofte (loved it) and the centik kebab (which my partner loved), followed by some baklava....delicious.

Really good traditional Turkish food cooked and served by a friendly welcoming team. Lunch menu offered good sized portions that are so tasty you will eat way more than anyone should and 100% will need a small sleep on the sofa afterwards.

Friends and I went to this restaurant in Rainham after arriving at the Sittingbourne restaurant and found it was closed! The staff at Rainham were amazing and accommodated us at the lady minute last Thursday evening. The food the restaurant and the stall were all 5 star, we could not recommend this restaurant enough, definitely going back there again soon. Thank you for a very lovely evening

So for takeaway, who knew that the menu you get on line is a Sittingbourne menu only.. When you order, the grill is £5 more for each dish if you live in Rainham or Gillingham.

The food is lovely but I’ve been there twice now and both times the service has not been pleasant. 1st time we had a put a deposit down and had to be cash so had to arrange to go over there when it was open to drop it off, I saw them write in the diary when the deposit was paid, yet when it came to the bill at the end of the night they refused to take the deposit off unless I could provide a paper receipt of the deposit. Which just slipped my mind to bring. 1. I couldn’t have booked the table without it. 2. They should have it on their records that they received this cash from me. 3. We don’t exactly look the type to be trying to scam them. Second time was a few days ago, and they were constantly clock watching and chasing us to make a decision on our main order because they had another table book after us. We felt like they were clock watching us and chasing us up to order our drinks, order food and eat it, trying to take our plates away before we’d finished. And we only had mains! How can we enjoy an evening where we wanted to enjoy a dinner and a catch up? There were only 4 of us, we weren’t late, and they even had the cheek to ask if we wanted a drink, then they brought the drinks out with the bill and reminded us we had to be out in 5-10 mins

Heard that this was a good place to eat, however the meals we both had were the worst we'd ever eaten anywhere. I had what was supposed to be a moussaka but resembled a sponge ( as in cleaning sponge) & tasted like it really...
