Just stopped buy as I’ve heard great things about this restaurant, very busy but done me a take away mixed grill for my cheat meal plus 2 free drinks, very welcoming

We chose Kaya Meze Bar for our wedding dinner, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially the female waitresses, who were attentive and kind throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious—everything we tried had amazing flavors, and our guests were impressed. However, the timing of the service left something to be desired. We were a party of 22, and while we understand the challenges of serving a large group, it took a bit longer than expected for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, not everyone received their meals at the same time, which led to some awkward moments where some guests were finishing their meals while others hadn’t even been served yet. That being said, the manager was very apologetic and accommodating, which we appreciated. If the food had all arrived together, it would have made the experience feel seamless and truly amazing. Thanks again to the team at Kaya Meze Bar for their hospitality!

Absolutely great time... sedo was the best

Visited with my family. Needed to use the baby change. Not the best experience as it was in the middle of the staircase and had a draft. Light is going off every 10secs so impossible for one person to change the nappies! Food is good and it is freshly cooked! The waiters were kind and happy to help with anything.

First time for me and second for my husband. Starter was really nice but my main was ok, nothing special. I was ordering king prawn something but they didn’t have delivery so I have prawn starter, and was order for 2x for my main, but they give me 3x instead. But unfortunately is not for my liking. It’s not their fault just not for me I guess

The food was absolutely fantastic and well presented. We ordered the hot meze and portions were of a good size. For the mains, we ordered the lamb and chicken, which was very moist and well flavoured. What really topped of our visit was the lady that served us. Gigi was very attentive to all our needs and was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning.

A very warm welcome by the staff. My wife and I had lunch from the lunch menu (£15.99) for 2 courses. Absolutely delicious food. We'll presented, but for us, the quantity was far too much....quality was excellent. Definitely recommend this restaurant but be warned.....huge amount of food!!!!

Girls night out, we've been couple of times before been great , this time complete shambles from start to finish. We arrived few mins after booked time had to wait a bit for table. Drinks ordered some arrived but no prosecco & had to ask for glasses for jug of water. After 20mins queried prosecco not arrived still not arrived 10mins later & told think weve run out. We then ordered bottle of pinot grigio after further 10mins prosecco arrived! Starters came probably at least 50mins after ordering had to ask for knives & forks as none forthcoming! Told mains ready as soon as we finished starters......ok....then no it was another tables mains.....mains were then long time coming....served in dribs & drabs & then nothing for 1 person. Chased missing meal twice then friend said no forget it everyone's nearly finished now, take off bill...course then it arrived but agreed not to charge. We complained further to waitress & manager came over. His attitude was terrible no real apology/empathy just excuses, wanted to give us all free shots, no were not all drinking and don't want shots anyway, he agreed to take prosecco off bill. Kept saying are you happy now, will you come back (no not happy spoilt evening & no won't be back). He then told off waitress in our view/earshot, very unprofessional. Its a real shame as food is very good but clearly not enough staff/business not managed well.

Had a birthday dinner at this lovely restaurant, total of 9 people including kids, wonderful place. Food is very tasty, different choices, helpful staff members, definitely will go back to enjoy some more nice dishes!

The food and cocktails were really nice, but we realised after that they had not taken our booking fee of the total at the end so they got an extra £30 out of us as well as service charge. I don’t know whether they ware seeing if we wouldn’t realise but of course we didn’t until we after we left. Very disappointing.

Very slow service, took 20 minutes to order a drink, 30 minutes before starters were ordered. Main meal got mixed up and forgotten yet was still on the bill to be charged for. When asked for more prosecco for bottomless brunch was told no. Certain staff very argumentative! Music cut off at 6pm even though our 2 hour brunch hasn’t finished. Thoroughly disappointed

Every time I come here I’m never disappointed. The most friendliest staff who are always polite and make you feel at ease straight away. The food and service is outstanding…..one of my fave places ❤️

We were seated by a lovely waiter but did ask to such seats as it was quite busy and another man (possibly manager/owner) made us feel that it was no problem at all. They moved us and another young woman asked us if we were ready to order, which we were. I asked if a dish could be slightly amended and the waitress said she wasn't sure but could find out. Another waitress came over and she, very aggressively said nothing could be changed. I accepted this and ordered something else from the menu. I had the lamb casserole and my friend had the portobello mushrooms. Mine was very bland and a little chewy. Not so bad that I sent it back though. The rice wasn't great either but it was edible. The small side salad was really lovely and tasty. The mushrooms were somewhat underwhelming too. No one asked how our meals were but I guess we had it better than the couple on the next table, who only got one main meal between them. Such a shame as the staff of the front part of the restaurant were so lovely, it might have been a better experience if they were all like that.

When we turned up we were originally told we couldn't be seated despite having a reservation, then waited over 90 minutes for food, it finally turned up as we were about to leave, tables seated after us were served an hour before we were, what we received I've had better with bigger portions for cheaper from my local.

Yummy food and reasonable portion sizes. Loads of staff who were a bit much at times and it did take a while for the mains after the starter. I had goats cheese marmalade to start which was basically breadcrumbed and deep fried goats cheese on a sea of strawberry jam. Slightly odd but it was tasty. Pide bread very good :)

Came here with my family and every disappointment with the service I complained about a meal that we waited for 45 minutes for a mains ,which we asked how long then was told a couple of minutes when my meal came out( lamb iskender) it was cold I complained and the service gentleman look at me as if he did have a clue of what to do. I repeated it's cold then he said the chef can reheat it or something. He then said ten mins to wait and when it came out second time round the food had SPIT in it I complained and he didn't say anything!!! Very disappointed how we were treated .

1st time here an the food was absolutely delicious, we had the lunch time special 2 course meal. Bargain😋🙂defo going again

The food is so nice and the customer service is top tier! The staff are so lovely and the restaurant looks beautiful for pictures as well as to dine in. Would recommend and definitely will be returning.

One waiter for whole of upstairs area on a Saturday evening, 26 diners in total. Waited one hour for main, individual drinks arrived in dribs and drabs. Had to grab my friend's glass of white from next to the till in the end as it was getting warm. Our comments about the bad service were totally ignored. A request for a drink on the house for our patience was refused. I was one of a table of five and we all found the food to be mediocre. One seat had a broken back. Never again.

Atmosphere, food & drinks were decent! Service was good.

Pricey & understaffed (Friday night). Lots of big tables, they could not cope. 2 of our party waited 40 mins for their drinks, and chased their main course 4 times. Serve £9 Pinot Grigio Freixenet for £27.50. £5 for a bottle of water. Food pretty good, not massively fancy. Big table nearby barely touched their main course as it turned up so late they gad another venue to be at. The senior server was on the ball however and clearly deeply embarrased. Very good with food allergies.

Very friendly staff , very good quality food but very expensive £57 for x2 coke with a mixed shish and a chicken shish with chips and very small salad.

Great one for lunch with lots of set lunch options. So we ordered several dishes and shared food, so that we could try as many of them. Even if you are not a great fan of spice, you can find something from the menu. Attentive service. They changed the plates and cleaned your table after the appetiser, which I didn’t expect. However, it was really difficult to find a parking slot in Rochester during lunch hour.

Wow what can I say! what an absolute delight it was at Kaya Meze Bar. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, very professional at all times we were there for a bottomless brunch! This might be the best food available in Rochester!!! We had calamari rings, prawn cocktail and halloumi as starters, lamb casserole, lamb iskender, chicken shish as mains, and Baklava as dessert. Every single dish was amazing! The service was excellent (special shout to Siddharth), and the atmosphere was energetic!!!

Amazing staff, very fast and kind. Service was very speedy and staff were all very helpful. Very good place to go for any tourists and people in general who live within the area. Would definitely come back again.

10/10 experience tonight at kaya meze. The staff have been incredible, the DJ was a really good touch, the staff couldn’t have done more for us. The food was incredible especially the baklava dessert. Can tell it was home made and was so good.

not sure I’d quite describe this as a fine dining experience as it has more of the feel of a tourist cafe with examples of its wares on a shelf immediately outside. I was not immediately offered the £13.95 set menu from which I chose prawn cocktail (exactly as displayed outside) followed by a lamb stew with rice and salad. With complimentary pitta and dips this all proved quite a steal.

What a brilliant experience! If you’re looking for somewhere fun, cool and tasty for your weekend dinner treat, Sunday lunch or mid-week evening out then look no further! The team at Kaya Meze have got it SPOT ON! Friendly, attentive, beautiful cocktails and wonderful food, buzzing atmosphere, an absolute dream! Isa, the manager, is a breath of fresh air. He really knows how to work the restaurant! And, if you’re lucky enough to be served by Shanine, then you’re definitely going to be looked after. Today ,we have a such a wonderful evening at Kaya Meze Bar !!! The food are absolutely delicious and good looking . Finally,I can definitely tell ,that today am tried the best drinks ! I don’t mind to pay for a really good drinks ,I am happy to find this place where I will come back to enjoy 🍸🍸🍸. About staff I can say that they are amazing. The atmosphere is very nice and very clean. That is so important!!!!’

Waiter seemed bored and unenthusiastic, and only seemed to ‘perk up’ when another member of staff was present. Starter was cold, slimy and not the product advertised, the only real saving grace being some complimentary bread. The main was dry, and cardboard like in texture, with others at the table having chicken that was evidently starting to turn, resulting in a bad stomach after, and an unpleasant aftertaste during the meal. The rice was simply foul. The waiter also decided to clean the table mid-way through the meal, disrupting our conversation, and items we had on the table.

Went in for the Lunch menu, ordered calamari as a starter and mixed shish for main. The starter consisted of 2 battered rings, served with bread and 2 dips, which were shared. The main was 2 small chunks of lamb and 2 chicken. These were so chewy and difficult to cut. Poor food and service, would not return.

Amazing place with delicious authentic Turkish food. But the biggest bonus was to have wonderful staff who go above and beyond to help. Special mention to Sedo ( the supervisor) and Shanon who were simply brilliant. We are locals and have never been to this hidden gem. So pleased we finally did . Thank you Sedo, Shanon and the entire staff for a brilliant experience .

Where to start, I have no word literally shock 😳 so we made reservations for 2 soon we step in try to put on door table we asked for little more cosy one been let seat by the bar where all staff from bar keep staring at us my girlfriend wear short all been starting to her feels they never seen women before feel very intimidating , literally one young waiter come right next to us in our face asked for order we did order drinks and stater and main so we are already little off by staff behaviour but worse one we haven’t finished our stater we been given main food after serving stater in 5 min so we had to rush our stater to take our main , which I find so unprofessional, plus no cutlery been replace change after stater this not day we book on busy day we book this in week days which is fairly quit but it’s not something we spend £90 for dinner get this experience and funny other staff were eating next to our table talking very loudly where we came her for good experience so very disappointed food is also very low standard , Hopefully owner read this get his head around to fix this problem for next time

Over priced, chipped crockery and who knew there was cabbage and carrots in a ceasar salad

Very disappointing first visit here on Sunday, looked great online, but the service wasn't great, a friend ordered the salad and the bowl had three chips around the rim, another friend asked for a large coke and the waiter just said no, presumably meaning they only sold it in small bottles, but then returned with drinks for the rest of us and just nothing for the friend that ordered a soft drink. the starters to be fair were delicious and a healthy size but the mains were over priced and mediocre... far too expensive for the quality and portion size.. luke warm, took a long time to arrive, had probably been sitting on the sode for a while hence the long wait. Tiny amount of rice and the smallest salad possible accompanied a relatively expensive main. Also, now looking at other reviews I've discovered that there is a lunch menu, these menus were not on the table that we were given and the lunch menu wasn't offered to us, even though we visited at lunch time. I was charge double what I should have been charged, what a shady buisness practice, very untrustworthy establishment.
