Probably the worst kebab my husband & I have ever eaten. We used to always buy from here a couple of years ago but it is not the same. The bread served was dry & the salad was non existent. A tiny amount iceburg lettuce thrown on, some red cabbage & onion, 2 pieces of tomato & cucumber. They missed off the Chilli sauce from my husbands. The chips were absolutely vile, very dry & shrivelled, I actually could not eat them. We will stick to Caner kebabs in the market place, they are the best by miles.

Botan sell very good quality food which is very delicious! I believe it is very good value for money too which is great! The staff are very friendly and welcoming! I would definitely recommend! :)

On our way from Bath to London , we have stopped here for dinner as a large family, we have ordered vegetarian pizza, lamb kebab and hamburger … The staff were so kind, incredible welcoming … The food was delicious and portion size was good..

Waste of time and money. Ordered a delivery via Deliveroo when the order did not arrive at time I called the restaurant and the guy on the phone was reckless and rude. When I requested the guy on phone to check with delivery person if he can expedite then I get a reply “do you want delivery person to fly” in a rude tone. Totally reckless!! Not at all recommended as taste is also not worth it despite of waiting a long for delivery.

I use to live near the shop ! Regrets moving 🙏🏼now just walk or these days a call as they deliver, but I like the walk first just to get the appitte going, as you know satisfaction guaranteed 🙏🏼💪🏼👑

These guys make time for you. They provide a spot on service , always make you feel welcome and aren’t going to avoid you when passing by the restaurant or just randomly going about Newbury. A real local. Great service, nice people. Great manager/ owner. Long story short. I highly recommend Botan. They have never let me down. Happy eating people! 5 star review for real. My usually order is just under £10 but I can’t reflect that in the below options as it’s occasionally above for a treat. Thanks guys

Normally good but this time food took nearly 2 hours, after multiple phone calls the phone was just left on the side for 10 minutes then hung up, very poor

Not sure how it’s 4.3 stars. It’s awful! The manager doesn’t know customer service either as I explained I can’t bring it back to have it remade all he kept saying is “I’m sorry you feel like that” and talking over me! AVOID

AWFUL! AVOID! Chicken was ice cold in the middle but warm on the crumb WEIRD. The chips were quadruple cooked but solid. The burger bun looked like it had been run over. Disintegrated “cheese” and burger sauce. Honestly it was awful. Called the restaurant who said to bring it back, I explained I can’t that’s why it was delivery and he just kept saying it’s not his problem and he will give me nothing! Customer service was worse than the food and the food was BAD. My partner said I’m going to come in for a refund and he got told if he does he will be attacked!!

If I could put no stars I would. I ordered at 4:50 they sent me an email saying my order would be delivered around 5:22. I waited till gone 6:15 I phoned them up asked nicely when would my food leave the shop and his reply was “I don’t know, we are having problems with our driver.” No apologies from him. I said will my food be okay when ever it gets here. All the guy said was “Yh” so I waited and when my food got here it was disgusting and I had to throw it away it was cold and the chips were not edible. I’m disappointed and shocked at the customer services. All he had to be was polite.

This is terrible, made an order of £70 that turned up nearly 2 hours after ordering stone cold and without kids drinks, wouldnt recommend ordering from here if this is the service received, not the experience I expected to be honest, still waiting for the order to be confirmed as delivered so i can get in touch with deliveroo about it

The best kebab I've ever eaten hands down! The kitchen looked clean and vibrant, the food was wholesome, so very tasty and the portion size was perfect. The two fellas were extremely warm and gave a very friendly welcome, outstanding service and cooking. We will definately be back and is our new favourite takeaway. Thankyou for that much needed comfort food this evening.

Wanted a decent takeaway pizza and got what I wanted. Wait time was ok, Pizza was nice, enjoyed a few minutes walk away at the Kennet and Avon canal. All n good.

£13 for a mix doner and a can of pop. Way overpriced for what you getting. Staff could do with professionalism enlightenment. I would not recommend and would not eat here again.

Ordered a pizza and kebab over 30mins late, the drive said he was on his way from Bishop Green and there was lorry accident. Well my food was like warm. I paid £6.00 well my food should come straight from botan not go with other customers bloody food coning basterds. I will never order here again. Crooks

Brilliant kebab place in Newbury, with staff that are genuinely amazing: very kind and generous. The portion sizes are very generous, so much so that I had to split the food over two meals to consume! Brilliant service, and absolutely delicious food. Döner Kebab was great.

We had a chance to quickly grab a chicken done wrap. The wrap was yummy better than other wraps around. The bread itself was soft and not hard wrap .also the contents insides weren't too dry. Succulent and juicy enough. Sauce used chilli and mayo.

This was my last Chicken Shish and Donner meat before I go back to the US. Well I was not disappointed, the food is 10 out of 10. Tasty and delicious. I had a long drive so I liked how the kabab was not put together and the Chili and mayo were in separate containers. The staff were also brilliant and friendly, the one who could be the boss is also a comedian with a great sense of humour. I look forward to when I come back. I wish they had this place in the US. Thank you gentlemen for a brilliant dinner tonight.

This is my favourite kebab shop in Newbury, it’s so comfortable to wait in and the kebab is fantastic.

This kebab i think is the worst i have ever had. It didn't have much taste. It was like eating cardboard. It was delivered and stone cold i wanted it put in a pitta bread and came with a wrap on the side and the sauces in little pots. 22.50 i was ripped off as far as I am concerned and the sauces was not nice

I've eaten my fair share of kebabs over the years.. the boys in the kitchen are something special, their customer service is off the charts! Friendly, welcoming and know the menu well! Ordered a mixed grill! Theres more meat in this tray than a butchers shop, two people can't finish it but wow looking forward to it the next day. Lamb kofte is amazing. Shredded chicken tastes like they performed magic. Large chicken skewer pieces, juicy and extremely flavorful. Kebab meat is bangin! LAMB SKEWER 🐑 BAAA-RILLIANT Love the different choice of bread! GET THE GARLIC MAYO! Mint sauce also fresh made, tasted amazing. Don't get me started on their Chilli sauce, unlike any kebab chili I've ever had, amazing. I'll be back. Terrible food, gave me belly ache for 3 days

Have lived in Newbury for a couple of years but had never visited until this evening. The reviews were great so thought why not! The place is very clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly, gave us plenty of time to choose what we wanted from the large menu. I opted for the mixed kebab wrap and my wife went for the mixed kebab with salad and bread with some chips. Got home and unwrapped it and got stuck in! The food was great and massive portions, too much for us to finish but we will know to downsize slightly next time! Highly recommend this place not just for the food but the great staff they have!

Ordered from here for years. Last few orders have really let them down. Cold meat, pre cooked doner meat, steamed which dries it out. Arrives cold on deliveries, no passion or love for their food. disgusting after taste I feel their grills haven't been cleaned in a long time, it would be an embarrassment to call this Greek or Turkish, you'd get better from an Iceland frozen meal. No standard, no love, no good. Also, would like to add as I can't reply. Have ordered here for years and has for a long time been the best. But lately standards have dropped. Food is reheated, tastes dry and chicken has a plastic taste. It's very bad and a big fall from grace. Being of Turkish descendant this kebab house used to be a high standard. Lately the standard has fallen. For the money I paid I expect 7 to 8 out of 10 minimum. I received a 4. Very bad and I will not order from here again

What an excellent place to have kebabs and wraps! We found this place when we were walking to our new home and somehow didn't get a chance to go there sooner. Today we planned and went for dinner. Man, the food was great. We had doner kebab wraps, Combination kebabs with chicken and lamb, pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, chicken burger. All items were tasty and we had a great family time munching the yummy food! Infact the wraps were so big, we took it home to have it later. If you are looking for shawarma wraps in Newbury, this is the place. And it is halal for our Muslim frds. Customer service was quick, fast and cheerful. They gave our kids free candy and drinks. A wonderful and warm place on a cold night !! Cheers!

New Year’s Eve, had the family over and decided to order food. Went through ok on the website until the driver turns up without someone’s meal. When we phoned to ask where the kebab was we were told we were lying and that “everybody tells them they are missing bits off the order”!! Why would we bother phoning over a missing kebab if it wasn’t actually missing. Will never order from them again…the arguing and shouting on the phone with the hanging up was not a responsible way if practice. Disgusting!!!
