Excellent staff. Always ask how you are and will talk to you whilst you wait and they cook. Food is spot on all the time and if you get it delivered its always quick aswell! 10/10 don't go anywhere else for kebabs in the area!

A legend of Newbury that does surprisingly delicious pizza, especially after a few beers. They put bodrum out of business cos all their stuff is way better and all the lads who work there are top class

NASTYYYYY FOOD! The food was disgusting! I threw everything away i had a £30 order it was nasty! How could you put the sayce at the bottom of of the bag ir all spilled everywhere. What the hell is the yellow sauce on your chickens ir stinks yuck! You have the cheapest meat in the market ir was like plastic with 0 taste. Even your salad was dry er! I will never order feom here again & will ask for a refund. I feel sick now thanks to your disgusting food quality and service.!!!! I’m also turkish and know what a kebab should taste like, stop fooling people here.

The best in Berkshire to eat halal food

Got it chicken dishes delivered 2 days in a row. First day everything was fine so decided to order again but today, all the chicken was so hard that I couldn’t eat it, went to bin. It was so hard and cold that extra cheese at the bottom of chicken didn’t even melt.

The largest kebab I have seen in Newbury. Quantity of meat is very good. Had mixed Meat & Chips with large chicken wrap. Lamb meat had chunks of lamb fat. Didn’t finish it Wrap was great

Second time buying here since new to the area. Delivery was quick only being 20mins but this time was disappointing, food tasted nice but was stone cold, probably needs wrapping in foil and another paper but wasn’t even lukewarm, having to put takeaway in the microwave isn’t what you want.

They took almost £70 and never delivered my food!! They’ve argued and I haven’t been offered a refund or any help whatsoever. They literally rob you. I’m now out of pocket massively as had to order food elsewhere. Disgusting business they should be done for theft. DO NOT USE!! You’re actually better off going hungry at least you won’t be stolen from.

Probably the worst kebab my husband & I have ever eaten. We used to always buy from here a couple of years ago but it is not the same. The bread served was dry & the salad was non existent. A tiny amount iceburg lettuce thrown on, some red cabbage & onion, 2 pieces of tomato & cucumber. They missed off the Chilli sauce from my husbands. The chips were absolutely vile, very dry & shrivelled, I actually could not eat them. We will stick to Caner kebabs in the market place, they are the best by miles.

Waste of time and money. Ordered a delivery via Deliveroo when the order did not arrive at time I called the restaurant and the guy on the phone was reckless and rude. When I requested the guy on phone to check with delivery person if he can expedite then I get a reply “do you want delivery person to fly” in a rude tone. Totally reckless!! Not at all recommended as taste is also not worth it despite of waiting a long for delivery.

These guys make time for you. They provide a spot on service , always make you feel welcome and aren’t going to avoid you when passing by the restaurant or just randomly going about Newbury. A real local. Great service, nice people. Great manager/ owner. Long story short. I highly recommend Botan. They have never let me down. Happy eating people! 5 star review for real. My usually order is just under £10 but I can’t reflect that in the below options as it’s occasionally above for a treat. Thanks guys

Normally good but this time food took nearly 2 hours, after multiple phone calls the phone was just left on the side for 10 minutes then hung up, very poor

Not sure how it’s 4.3 stars. It’s awful! The manager doesn’t know customer service either as I explained I can’t bring it back to have it remade all he kept saying is “I’m sorry you feel like that” and talking over me! AVOID

AWFUL! AVOID! Chicken was ice cold in the middle but warm on the crumb WEIRD. The chips were quadruple cooked but solid. The burger bun looked like it had been run over. Disintegrated “cheese” and burger sauce. Honestly it was awful. Called the restaurant who said to bring it back, I explained I can’t that’s why it was delivery and he just kept saying it’s not his problem and he will give me nothing! Customer service was worse than the food and the food was BAD. My partner said I’m going to come in for a refund and he got told if he does he will be attacked!!

If I could put no stars I would. I ordered at 4:50 they sent me an email saying my order would be delivered around 5:22. I waited till gone 6:15 I phoned them up asked nicely when would my food leave the shop and his reply was “I don’t know, we are having problems with our driver.” No apologies from him. I said will my food be okay when ever it gets here. All the guy said was “Yh” so I waited and when my food got here it was disgusting and I had to throw it away it was cold and the chips were not edible. I’m disappointed and shocked at the customer services. All he had to be was polite.

The best kebab I've ever eaten hands down! The kitchen looked clean and vibrant, the food was wholesome, so very tasty and the portion size was perfect. The two fellas were extremely warm and gave a very friendly welcome, outstanding service and cooking. We will definately be back and is our new favourite takeaway. Wanted a decent takeaway pizza and got what I wanted. Wait time was ok, Pizza was nice, enjoyed a few minutes walk away at the Kennet and Avon canal. All n good.

£13 for a mix doner and a can of pop. Way overpriced for what you getting. Staff could do with professionalism enlightenment. I would not recommend and would not eat here again.

Ordered a pizza and kebab over 30mins late, the drive said he was on his way from Bishop Green and there was lorry accident. Well my food was like warm. I paid £6.00 well my food should come straight from botan not go with other customers bloody food coning basterds. I will never order here again. Crooks

We had a chance to quickly grab a chicken done wrap. The wrap was yummy better than other wraps around. The bread itself was soft and not hard wrap .also the contents insides weren't too dry. Succulent and juicy enough. Sauce used chilli and mayo.

This was my last Chicken Shish and Donner meat before I go back to the US. Well I was not disappointed, the food is 10 out of 10. Tasty and delicious. I had a long drive so I liked how the kabab was not put together and the Chili and mayo were in separate containers. The staff were also brilliant and friendly, the one who could be the boss is also a comedian with a great sense of humour. I look forward to when I come back. I wish they had this place in the US. Thank you gentlemen for a brilliant dinner tonight.

This is my favourite kebab shop in Newbury, it’s so comfortable to wait in and the kebab is fantastic.

This kebab i think is the worst i have ever had. It didn't have much taste. It was like eating cardboard. It was delivered and stone cold i wanted it put in a pitta bread and came with a wrap on the side and the sauces in little pots. 22.50 i was ripped off as far as I am concerned and the sauces was not nice

I've eaten my fair share of kebabs over the years.. the boys in the kitchen are something special, their customer service is off the charts! Friendly, welcoming and know the menu well! Ordered a mixed grill! Theres more meat in this tray than a butchers shop, two people can't finish it but wow looking forward to it the next day. Lamb kofte is amazing. Shredded chicken tastes like they performed magic. Large chicken skewer pieces, juicy and extremely flavorful. Kebab meat is bangin! LAMB SKEWER 🐑 BAAA-RILLIANT Love the different choice of bread! GET THE GARLIC MAYO! Mint sauce also fresh made, tasted amazing. Don't get me started on their Chilli sauce, unlike any kebab chili I've ever had, amazing. I'll be back. Terrible food, gave me belly ache for 3 days

Have lived in Newbury for a couple of years but had never visited until this evening. The reviews were great so thought why not! The place is very clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly, gave us plenty of time to choose what we wanted from the large menu. I opted for the mixed kebab wrap and my wife went for the mixed kebab with salad and bread with some chips. Got home and unwrapped it and got stuck in! The food was great and massive portions, too much for us to finish but we will know to downsize slightly next time! Highly recommend this place not just for the food but the great staff they have!

Ordered from here for years. Last few orders have really let them down. Cold meat, pre cooked doner meat, steamed which dries it out. Arrives cold on deliveries, no passion or love for their food. disgusting after taste I feel their grills haven't been cleaned in a long time, it would be an embarrassment to call this Greek or Turkish, you'd get better from an Iceland frozen meal. No standard, no love, no good. Also, would like to add as I can't reply. Have ordered here for years and has for a long time been the best. But lately standards have dropped. Food is reheated, tastes dry and chicken has a plastic taste. It's very bad and a big fall from grace. Being of Turkish descendant this kebab house used to be a high standard. Lately the standard has fallen. For the money I paid I expect 7 to 8 out of 10 minimum. I received a 4. Very bad and I will not order from here again
