Quite probably the worst curry I’ve ever had. We called in to order a takeaway which confused them and they didn’t apply the collection discount ! When we got the curry home it was almost cold despite actually having literally just collected it from the restaurant ourselves having waited for it to be cooked.. I had a Jafrezi which was just a greasy brown mush with tough chicken. My partner had a biryani which was completely tasteless. Cold rice - congealed greasy and tough chicken. Avoid ! If I could give zero rating I would.

Real Curry.The best so far in Barry.Placed an order fir delivery and it arrived in no time and was piping hot.

Really friendly staff and locals in the pub, good food, nice rooms with a good bathroom. Excellent value and breakfast included with the room.

I added in notes with order 2 HP brown sauces .. never put in the order very disappointing, can't eat sausage baps without sauce, too dry waste of money disappointing & hot drink was cold

The plough is my local pub and it is the best run pub in Newbury. Friendly staff, great events and very reasonably priced compared to other pubs close by.

Years back this pub was superb. Since the new people took it over some two years ago, it has gone from bad to worse. Not only was my main meal of pie, served with cold gravy and cabbage my companions starter of belly of pork was just chunks of fat, completely uneatable. Complained at the time but they still charged for it. Seafood linguine was money for old rope. The atmosphere isn't right, seems empty a lot of the time and the food is dire. We had a lunch a few days later at The Old Mill, it was superb. If one Shepherd Neame pub can do it, so could they. Thankfully they are leaving in February.

Lati positivi: pub incantevole, ben tenuto, con tavoli all’aperto, frequentato dai locali. La manager è una persona gentile. La camera molto ben arredata e con un letto comodo. La domenica sera abbiamo partecipato a un’affollato pub quiz bevendo ottima birra proveniente dalla famosa brewery accanto. Location perfetta per visitare la brewery. Lati negativi: con la camera sopra il pub non si dorme fino prima di mezzanotte. Stranamente non ci sono prese per ricaricare il cellulare vicino al letto e posto per gli asciugamani in bagno. Nulla di troppo grave. Consiglio generale: Bisogna organizzarsi presto e bene per la cena perché né il pub né la brewery la offrono. E dopo le 7 di sera l’altro pub del villaggio ha già chiuso la cucina. In conclusione, ci tornerei!

Best curry in Godalming town. I've been to every curry place in town and this was the one I tried last. It is purely takeaway so no eating in. It is easily the best. The two best things about it is the foood tastes amazing and they listen to any requests you make. I have so far received exactly what I asked for each time when making special requests on the orders which I really appreciate.

Amazing Lunch, great food and the Landlord went above and beyond for my 98 year old Mother. Would recommend. Thank you Dan

We ordered a few dishes on delivery to try out the restaurant and I had to leave the food after the first few bites. The flavours are not authentic and frankly not enjoyable. My partner is Thai, we eat thai food very often and I can say that this is the worst one we had so far. Overpriced and not good.

The food was dreadful. I ordered a Doner Kebab and chicken shish. The bread was wet and soggy. I asked for it to be cooked and crunchy. No salad and the chilli sauce was sloppy. Give this place a wide berth !
